i doubt whether bitcoin will really cost more than 100k$ at some point. i once believed it, but that was a few months ago.
the price collapse of the past few months shook me badly. i still think crypto is good, but i don't rely on a high price anymore.

You are right, now in the current situation of world crises with Covid19, it is impossible to reach 20k$. Then how can, people are expecting such a high price in the span of the next 8 months, now we are not in a situation to guess what will be the price of Bitcoin in the coming months? We should be very careful in the coming fluctuations.

Says who? Nothing is impossible in crypto,,, if you would have paid attention to the markets over the past few years, you would know that. But yes, I kept saying we should wait minimum until 2020 for things to pick up when everyone was so impatient saying everything would recover in 2018 and 2019.

It is obvious that price is hard to believe. I remember the 2017 bull run when McAfee said about bitcoin reaching $1,000,000 for this year, I think many got hooked by that prediction and put hype to our feelings.

But as time passes, we understand how such prices are unbelievable to happen. $100,000 is reachable but there's uncertainty when it will happen to show us. It's a high price that I want to see honestly but it's more than being patient or make it or break it moment.

This is why im not really a fan on listening FOMO calls to those so-called professional or famous personalities neither on this industry or in others.
Everyone could really be caught with the hype no matter how veteran you are on investment matters.Unlucky for those people who followed such call and i do even
believe that there were still people who do held off their coins when they bought on 20k price.

Nothing is certain when we do mention about the future thats why making unrealistic calls can really be spot out with just your own common sense.1M on 2 years time?
$100k is achievable but it will need some sort of global adoption.

It's one sad and wrong decision for them and it's a huge lesson that they will bring forever. Partly some of them already sold those 20k price of bitcoin at a lower price and just accepted the lose that they've made.

I'm hoping in for $100,000 but it's acceptable that it will really take a long time before that finally happens. There will be a lot of events that will trigger people to invest back to bitcoin and a year or two or three? we have no idea.

Im bullish for the future of bitcoin and altcoins but I think it takes longer before we can reach the price of $100k for bitcoin. Its been more than two years since the last ath but the price didnt manage to climb high like what happened on year 2017. Before we predict a much high price I think its realistic to say btc can reach $20k again if the market recover and it will happen after the virus is over.

Nevertheless the market is unpredicted and many things can happen, the halving is a month away too so lets hope for the best for crypto.

I mean, yeah halving is coming in less than a month but come on, after all this time we're still finding ourselves fantasizing about all these unreal figures? This is the problem with crypto people in my mind. So unreal and not even realizing how unreal it is.

yes i agree under the current circumstances it's pretty unlikely that bitcoin will hit those levels i think more realistic prediction would be around 15-20k. Next bull run would not be like the one we have seen in 2017 i think we will see slow and gradual upward trend.

Economist?who are they?have some names?seems like i have not read any of these economist posting here or outside the forum telling that Bitcoin will reach 100,000$ in 2021?and also havent you read?Op is saying that the price of Bitcoin will Hit this amount just in January 1 2021 and not in the end of 2021.

I do think we can hit $100k, but 2021 seems optimistic. I don't think the main driver for price increase will be increased consumer use for day-to-day transactions, I think the most likely route to a high price is the 'store of value' use case. The current pandemic has seen traditional stocks and shares plunge - and crypto too, because crypto is still seen as a risky asset. I would say give it time. Bitcoin is the ultimate store of value, the ultimate safe haven, far better than gold. We will need more money coming in, and higher trading volumes, first. This will help to reduce volatility. Once the volatility issue is improved, the understanding of bitcoin as a safe haven will come naturally. That I think is when we will start to see some big price increases.

You are right, how can simply people predict such a high amount for Bitcoin, which seems to be the very high-value comparisons for the current price. It is impossible to reach $100k because now the entire world is facing a lot of allegation with COVID-19 and in order to become COVID free it will take a lot of time because some of the major countries economic growth was not stable. So people shouldn't predict the high amount in a short period of time.

Seeing the situation as it is now and also backward years, it is clear that more people are now investing in bitcoin not for the long term anymore. agree with you that, now there is an opportunity to buy when going down and sell when going up, faster is often done because it is better by hoping for a quick profit. bitcoin moves up and down quite quickly and it makes investors do it.
