See ya'll at the final table next week. Do we need chips to get into the tourny?
Nope. Buy-in is 0 chip. Only password needed for registration. #1 Bitcointalk Championship Runner-up Game is live! I would now like to "officially" announce that we will have a Runner-up Tournament for everyone who won't make it to the Championship Final! SwC are generously hosting this and sponsoring a Freeroll with a 10,000 Chips Prize pool and it's going to take place on 03 May. I am little confused. Who will play the runners-up tournament? Position 10-18 or all those who didn't qualify for championship and played at least a game or all those who got at least a point? Can you clarify Very good question, thanks for asking webtricks. It's supposed to be a community event for all the poor souls who didn't qualify for the championship final and played at least one game - otherwise this would mean a weekend without poker with the fellow bitcointalk mates... unthinkable, no?! Great! I hope players who won't win anything in Championship don't compete in Runners-up tourney. We guys should have some winnings too.

BTCLiz -400 buwaytress- 200 Sygambler- 200 CoinEraser- 200
These players have the option to donate the chips owed to final prize pool, or ask for a refund. Some have already stated donate, but they have 1 last chance to claim their chips. Please post your intent by Friday May 1st.
So on Saturday May 2nd the total prize pool is either 92,600 or 91,600.
The payouts will be as follows
1st 46,300 or 45,800 2nd 27,780 or 27,480 3rd 18,530 or 18,320
On SwC the winner will be paid as follows
1st 25000 2nd 15000 3rd 10000
Efialtis will send the remaining portions to the winners. Efialtis will also be sending the 9 players for the championship game the password Do Not Share it. The remaining players who will be in the "loosers freeroll" will also get the pw from efialtis.
I would also like to announce I will not be handling the spreadsheet or anything else from this point on. I'm not gonna post reasons or anything, just point all questions to efialtis from here on out. Maybe i'll play you guys if there is a next series.

Guys, please ask SWC to manually pre-register players for Champions Finale. Passwords are dangerous.
Also, I would like to see All places paid, if possible. This is bonus tournament, so smooth prize structure would be great.
I will create easily manageable semi-automatic spreadsheet for coming series.

Very respectable pool for our final tournament. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your efforts on this championship series and I hope you will play the next one with us. Wouldn't be the same without you I'll face you across the table at least one more time.
@Efialtis Also a big thanks to you for your part in organizing these series. Had to mention you separately so you don't feel left out.
Congrats to all qualified for final table. In the end I managed to get the last spot even though I didn't get any points in last couple of tournaments. Two good results were enough in the end. Also GG to all players. Hopefully we will have next series as well. I will try to take part since I am now hooked but it will be difficult when my life gets back to its hectic everyday routine.

why would all places need paid? It's a championship, not a charity ship. The whole point was to earn your way to the final. And have a shot at decent money while having fun playing poker with friends/acquaintances. If everyone was paid then the top money turns to crap. If this was a 200k+ prize pool I'd be all for everyone getting something, but it's barely over 90k. Idk, you guys run it how ya want from here on out. Not sure I'll play if the structure changes much though with such a small pool.

Swapping action between finalists could be allowed and would decrease variance. Would be easy and safe too since the prize is centralised with efialtis already. Also, you could consider changing the points distribution to 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 which wouldn't change anything at the top of the leaderboard but could give the lower end a better chance to jump up if they finish in the top 4. Also makes ties less likely.

I finally managed to get some points yesterday, a decent game overall. Forced an all-in because the blinds were slowly eating me and we had 3 big stacks at the final table. Could have played that hand better but not unhappy overall.
Congratulations to the top 9 and everybody else, this was a really fun experience. Good luck at the final table!

a detail from yesterday's table I couldn't call it... it was a flush at the end... and is not the first time having those connection problems adding than the luck of the received cards during the whole tournament, having 9 points earned is a great success for me I really hope that I will have more luck in the Bitcointalk Championship Runner-up tournament, see ya soon

I have an excellent internet connection (500/250) and had big disconnect problems in tournaments 5&6, maybe 4 as well. This last 2 tournaments worked perfectly though. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't help if you have several tables loaded up. I like to keep an eye on all tables inside the tournament but it usually ends with disconnect inside 5 minutes. Did you do that maybe? I would like to pin down this issue since it is really annoying and I am 99% certain it isn't on my side.

It’s moslty annoying yes I have reported that issue few times, but there is no logical explanation It’s not a connection issue, cause I have an optic cable connection, so the problem is on the SwC side

I am checking with SwC if pre-registering is possible and give an update asap. If not, I trust that none of our 9 finalists will share the PW. I will take you up on the spreadsheet thing! if that is not possible I guess you can maybe ask them to make it 9 max , and you can share the password with us few minutes before the tourney start since we are only 9 and the prize is too good to miss I guess all of us would be available few minutes before the game start and once 9 players join there would be noway for others to join even if password gets leaked after

Am I missing something here? There is only 9 of us and we know each other nicknames. Shouldn't it be rather obvious who doesn't belong at the table? Why would even somebody try something like that? What could be gained?
