Until he can deal with all of the risk and it's better to stay away right now. You can also decrease the possibility to get the risk by investing in the major coin. As far as i know if this is the only way for everyone to get the safe asset that will bring less risk for them all. I think that we must try to be a wise person right now.

I don't know how much money you have to tell you what you should be investing into. If you told us how much money you are willing to invest we can tell you something about that. For example, if you have anything under 1000 dollars I would say just buy bitcoin and leave it be, it doesn't worth the risk to buy anything else with such a low amount, maybe squeeze in some ethereum in there if you want but usually just bitcoin is enough for low amount.

If you have anything between 1k-10k levels you can buy bitcoin, ethereum, xrp, bch, ltc, xmr, bnb and top it off with some usdt just in case, you can pick only some of them or pick all of them, or make your own choice from the top 10 however you want (except bsv). If you have over 10k, that becomes too much and you can just invest whatever you want with 90%+ being the top coins and %10 or so being whatever small coin you want.

I think the bad choice of investment in GNT, because after I analyze the potential is not so good and also its poor performance
for the past two years. But BAT is a good choice for investment, although BAT is not the best but its performance is quite good.
If I may I suggest to invest in ETH, LTC and BNB. Because the three coins that I recommend, it is very good for investment.
Because it has a high volume and also very good performance.

Honestly speaking i already forget all of altcoin when it comes to investment.Im already done with it and just simply stick out with BTC in terms of long term hodl.
Im aware though of GNT and BAT.If you do chose up these projects then its your choice yet its your money after all.Just be sure that you do make up some search
and do accept whatever the things that might happen ahead.Altcoin market isnt really that much appealing at the moment but somewhat you can risk up
to buy cheap specially on top ranking coins for short term profits only but for long term? nahhhhhh.

I don't think there is the best project besides bitcoin. I suggest you take a look at bitcoin and don't use the other project to make money. But hm, maybe you can use some money to invest in the project you mention but don't use all of your money in one project, but you should use the money to invest in bitcoin. Investing in big money in another project is not recommended especially in this bear market because you don't know which project that can succeed in the future. But if you invest in bitcoin, I think you will make a big profit in the future.

I think you already conduct a research with these coins you chose. Just want to suggest consider investing in btc and eth as well. Its safe to have a well-established coins in your portfolio so if something unfortunate happen in other coins that you invest in you can count to those popular coins to still standing. If you have doubts you can always search what could be the best coin to include in your crypro portfolio.

I often think twice before deciding to invest and spend a lot of time researching because any project will have its own risks if not careful. Of course, I just like to invest in new coins because these are usually the coins that bring huge profits to investors and receive great attention from everyone. Speaking of Basic Attention Token (BAT).
Look at this daily chart of this altcoin. For me buying these days of this altcoin is not soo good, I don't find any good entry there as recently it broke the horizontal support around 2300satoshis.
I am probably going to see its next support is around 1500 satoshis, but hoping it will not and we will see some reversal from here.
The pump of this token last 2019 May is extremely parabolic, then it dumped so fast and for sure a lot of people saw that coming after that huge pump.

Link is a good project, but its price has increased too much in 2019 so I believe this is not the time to continue investing in it. It is better to choose other projects that are at the bottom because it has a chance to go up in the next bull run, and its price will not collapse too much in the current market.

the last Pump of BAT is in 2019 and the Highest Price happens in 2018 and also the movement is looks like a Pump and Dump so its a No for me.
and Golem(GNT) is for me a Dying currency and i don't trust such coins so better keep off that one.

Currently we can invest in the top altcoins in this market, the price cannot collapse too much if Bitcoin falls in the next few days. But if we want to invest in altcoins like OP mentioned, we need to be really careful

for the top altcoin, I think everything depends on the future bitcoin conditions. if something bad happens to bitcoin then something bad may happen to top altcoin as well. what's more for a new altcoin that is still a big risk to die.
