Yeah, such people are clearly not to be trusted. He said different things about Bitcoin. There's this famous bullish prediction, then he reiterated but, but months ago he said he did not mean it. In the meantime, he said Bitcoin was old technology, and now he's saying it's worthless. I think the only thing he discredited is himself because who is going to believe a guy who radically changed the prediction? Speaking of Monero and Ethereum, though, I do believe they both have a future, but not bigger than Bitcoin. And mentioning a not even that popular stable coin DAI alongside these two it too low.

what he does is that he makes an assessment of the general mood of the market then makes a completely random and bullshit statement about the price according to that general mood. for example during 2017 when the mood was all positive thanks to constant price rises he said the bullshit about $1 million and now that the mood is in exact opposite he says the opposite bullshit about bitcoin being a shitcoin!

What can we do? We can't force him eat his dick. If he wants to keep his promise, then he will. If he won't, that's his own problem. I lost 100% of my respect for him when he started pumping shitcoins to his own advantage. These "predictions" came most likely because he owns BTC and probably thought his prediction would influence the price this year. To state it mildly, McAfee is simply human and not a certain supernatural being. He made that prediction in the heat of the Bitcoin orgasm of 2017. He wasn't the only one who predicted that Bitcoin was going to go pass a hugemous price level. Many of the mouthed crypto veterans did too. If we took McAfee for his word, then we should be reevaluating our business sense to have believed something not feasible within a short period of time. For all we know, Bitcoin may not even get to the $500,000 mark ever in its lifetime. Now, there are new innovations and projects with utility that can (with time) deplete the strength of Bitcoin.

You just have to know that his predictions are stupid predictions. What would even make anyone that Bitcoin will reach up to $500,000 in this 2020? I can remember that he claimed that it was going to be in 2018 or 2019 and not even 2020.

But after it failed, he came out to claim that Bitcoin is fake and the worst cryptocurrency, because he used the same strategy that was used to predict 2017 bull run for his own prediction and it didn’t work. If you want to be a successful trader or you want to know the next move of bitcoin, think opposite of what  John McAfee predicts. Like if he says that bitcoin is dead, it surely means that there is a big pump coming in bitcoin price in near future. Virtually everyone who was in this space in 2017 knows that McAfee is full of crap and his words are as irrelevant as the ico market itself. This was the same man that was shilling scam projects so far he got paid for his services. It should be but there are still lots of fools who do follow up these big guys and still listening up to those words that come out into their mouths without even doing some rethinking or realization if it would really be

Mcafee has been over the years giving speculations and i personally feel there is no basis on which he gave those speculations that is the reason why he has switched reversely on his opinion. Lol, a lot of these so called influencers were going crazy and making dumb predictions after Bitcoin hit an all time high price in 2017. They thought that things were going to continue that same way, but unfortunately for them it didn’t work that way. They even misled some of their followers and made them think that BTC is a money ground, where you just jump in and pick up some cash and leave.

Now they are all disappointed with what they are seeing and they have all gone quiet. Even McAfee said that Bitcoin is no longer good, and he’s now recommending Ethereum instead of Bitcoin lol. Personally I am also believing about one million dollar level for bitcoin but not within that much short time frame. It may take another 4 to 5 years which means by 2025 we can expect bitcoin to be testing one million levels .

People really don't care about what he tells now. The only way he can gain his trust back only if he eats his di*k on national television.
