Here will be a list of everyone who enther in the Legendary rank up competition no matter the initial meirt or registration date.

I suggest you to add, for those with less than 775 activity only, to add a column to highlight the minimum date to meet that threshold.
If you want, you could also, for those above 775, add the cycles since 775, when they polled in the "lucky extractions", out of total to get to 1080 (something like 5/19 for someone at 836 activity, for example).

Edit: Potentially, there's another set of profiles with enough Activity (range or above range), and a close to requirement amount of Merits. For example, Baofeng made it today to Legendary after reaching and surpassing 1K Merits with 1092 Activity.

You haven't forget to update it, this is the data from the beginning of the last cycle. I normally update it once in a two weeks when we enter in a new activity cycle, I see no need to have an update every week, most of the people have a postcount > activity

Anyway, you may create a topic on meta who have crossed 775 activities those have earned enough merits, so admin would consider them upgrade rank manually (IMO).

The activity needed to rank up is random for everyone between 775 and 1030 and is pre defined when you register your account. I won't ruin the fun asking to be manually ranked to Legendary, it will eventually happen, one day or another. This is just another proof that theymos (if he came up with this idea) is genius

On the other hand it will be nice to have some info  for those who have already crossed the activity milestone for legendary but lacking merit, when they reach 1k merit it would be nice to now at what activity count they reach the ranked up.

Yea, it's quite good idea, we might help them if there is small lack of merits especially merits sources could help them if they made some good post at least.

I guess you could give him a good reason (or a few millions of good reasons, depends on the units of good reasons), to make you rank up.
At least this is how many users changed their usernames.
As @iasenko says, I can't see why I should spoil the thrill of a quasi-random lottery.

Just to remind that the Activity required to reach the Legendary rank is a random value that depends on the UserId of the profile, and a secretSeed which, for obvious reasons, we do not have:

so far i thought that after each activity adjustment (if already > 775) a dice is thrown who is moving up and who is not.
didn't know what the details are. you really never stop learning here. thank you for the information

i thought there would be one user every week after the adjustment from the list who would be upranked.

To be honest, I haven't been keeping track of my activity the last few months.
I knew that the final rank up happens randomly, but wasn't aware of the query, thanks DdmrDdmr for the details.

Do we have any idea what the avg, min, max activity levels were that users had when they became Legendary?
Who had the most luck? Who had the most bad luck?
I mean, I know that you rank up between an activity of 775 - 1030, but has anyone ever ranked up at 775? or not until 1030?

It did expose me to a few posts that I otherwise wouldn't have seen, and I believe they are pretty substantially put together, and provide some insight into a world which I'm not all that familar with anymore. I've pretty much stopped almost all forms of gambling since a couple of years ago, and don't really frequent the section often.

Plus, my merit output has been somewhat low due to decreased activity recently so hopefully this is a sign of change

Thank you very much for the mention in the other thread It wasn't really necessary, since - I hope I am not sounding too cocky - I thought I would get there sooner or later, with just 30 merits missing, coming all the way from Full Member. Being a gambler and being in crypto, I learned to be patient. And I also learned that hard or good (work smart, not hard) work pays off at some point. Having said that, I don't care that much with ranks and merits in this forum, just like I do not care with status symbols in real life as well. Nevertheless I am of course happy to have reached the peak in terms of ranks in this forum and I am always happy to get sent merits, because I see it as an appreciation for help, insights or whatever I have provided my posts. So while this maybe sounded a bit harsh - sorry if it did - I am still very grateful for the mention, thank you.

Thank you very much too, for ranking me up with your merits. The gambling section is a pretty messy board, mainly for the reason that there are so many signature campaigns requiring posts in that board from non-gambling people. But there are also a lot of interesting threads and bright minds, you just have to find them in that chaos I am trying to play my part in upping the quality a bit there, in which I succeed from time to time. But if you stopped gambling long ago, it's better to not visit this section anyway, since gambling also does a lot of bad things to people.

I remember how difficult was in the beginning for people to rank up, especially those from Hero to Legendary.
Good example was Jet Cash. He was so close to the 1000 initial airdrop but started with 500. It was a struggle for him as well for a few others like him.
Back in the day I had a small service to help people to rank up if they were missing 1-2 merit and I love to make people happy (everyone is happy when achieving a milestone like that to rank up) so decided to help you guys out just because making 450+ merit (assuming one started with 500 airdrop) is good achievement and one should stand out as a type of member this forum needs the most. Those members should be kept in the forum so a small bonus is always good. This also will be a good example to the other not so good users, and hopefully they will change in a better way.

I don't think there is anything to do with geography. I didn't knew you were from Turkey until you pointed it out. The things you do is what builds your reputation, otherwise you are just a username as everyone else. You are getting closer 500+ earned merit is not bad at all, you should be proud

I think the "round" counter for users with merits<1000 should be equal to zero, as they technically haven't matured the prerequisite for being Legendary yet.
Take sportsbet.io (or the other couple of accounts with merits<1000): looks like she's been NOT elected legendary for 49 round, which is obviously not true (her activity is higher than the maximum allowed activity to become legendary).
Sportsbet.io will be for sure insta-legenday when hitting 1000 merits.
The other two users will probably be (or they will have a greater chance to be immediately promoted to legendary, being activity>>775).

Sleep is not something I can get that easy. Fell asleep on the couch yesterday with the TV ON before 12AM, for the first time in the past few months. I can't compete with the AI even if I wanted to, so I have gave up on this.

Come on @coinlocket$, being Legendary is a badge of honour that can be earned waiting to grind necessary activity and merits, or being a useful forum member, irrespective of the rank status.
I would say you definitely belong to this second category (together with many other Hero, or lower ranking members).

16 weeks it's not a long wait, after all!

You can train yourself to run a marathon in 16 weeks to celebrate your Legendary status with a 42.195 km run!

I might agree with that, grinding activity requires a lot of time and patience, but merits allows way more permutations of challenges.

Concerning the data, for those that are currently Hero Members, the list is easy to draw, and it is basically what’s in the OP (pending update it seems). The problem would be to derive the number of earned Merits for those that have ranked-up to Legendary, at the exact time the switched from Hero to Legendary. I do not log the date of all rank changes, so therefore I cannot infer properly the amount of merits the person had at the time of up-ranking.

If what clicked the change of rank was the amount of Merits, it is doable (similar technique to the Who ranked whom tab on the Merit Dashboard), but there are many that rank due to Activity as the event trigger, and those I detect from one week to another, but do not log the date so as to retrospectively manage reconstructing the Merit counter at the time.

Same applies to all other ranks.

Sidenote: I’ve got the beach nearby now, and haven’t even stepped on it yet this season (well I have walked along the seashore, but not roasted under the sun on a towel). I might try to do so these coming days, but all this (very necessary) mask business is a bit off-putting…

Hehe never thought about this. Thanks! And wow! Big wow! Apparently I'm the 9th most merited Sr. Member But on Bpip the Copper members aren't shown with their actual rank so that can be a bit inaccurate. Is there a chance to see also a list with the real ranks of Copper member?

Yes, Ddmr had a Google Spreadsheet updated every day and he was doing manually all the copper members to their actual rank.
I'll check it out after i put the kid to sleep.

Thanks! It doesn't really bother me much, though. I am at 1022 activity right now and I still haven't been promoted which means that I am going to become a Legendary in two weeks! This time, I got extremely unlucky.

Don't worry, coinlocket$, and enjoy as much as you can your last days of Hero Maybe you'll regret your Hero days afterwards. For me, the rank of Hero sounds best. Meaning the name itself. This is what I said a while ago about Hero vs Legendary ranks (maybe this different perspective will help you feel better):

From my perspective, ranking up so far felt both good and bad. Of course, I enjoyed earning my first merit, which helped me leave behind the Newbie rank, and also all the other merits which brought me to a Hero rank even since I was Full Member. But to he honest, I felt best when I was a Full Member and I think that another rank I'll enjoy a lot will be the Hero rank.

I don't like too much the Sr. Member and Legendary ranks as I feel like being old lol. But that's just a personal impression. I am Sr. Member since April 2020 and it feels like I am a very old man. And I believe I'll have the same feeling once I'll achieve the Legendary rank. Maybe I'll start a new account by then, to have another challenge. Maybe an account to use on my mobile phone, like GazetaMobile (I took this idea from LoyceMobile).

The Hero rank sounds great - like being a true hero But Sr. Member sounds like a grumpy old man and Legendary as an even older man.

Well you still have the chance rank up again on 26th August and avoid being the last one, but on 9th of September it will be inevitable, of course if you make a post on that day. I wonder when @BitCryptex will rank up, he need only 1 post to rank up to Legendary now.

Some big hitters in that list there whom I would have assumed were Legends already. It just shows how difficult it has been for members who weren’t already Legends since the merit system was introduced by theymos.

Well, now you now for sure when you gonna rank up. You are in the exact same situation as BitCryptex was. I just wandering at what exact actyvity people actually rank up.
Since everyone ranking up has the post count way over the activity count is very diffiult to know at what activity you ranked up.

BTW Congrats to @DdmrDdmr, I noticed today that he is a Legendary now

Due to lack of free time lately I'm locking this thread. I will temporary (maybe) discontinue this project until at least the next year. If anyone wants to continue tracking and listing the ranking up to Legendary participants in this race, feel free to use the data I have in this thread.
