It did expose me to a few posts that I otherwise wouldn't have seen, and I believe they are pretty substantially put together, and provide some insight into a world which I'm not all that familar with anymore. I've pretty much stopped almost all forms of gambling since a couple of years ago, and don't really frequent the section often.

Plus, my merit output has been somewhat low due to decreased activity recently so hopefully this is a sign of change

In addition, @dannybrown also received the rank of legendary. He also received a fair amount of merit. So these two participants should be excluded from the table of those who are waiting for the legendary rank.

Thank you very much for the mention in the other thread It wasn't really necessary, since - I hope I am not sounding too cocky - I thought I would get there sooner or later, with just 30 merits missing, coming all the way from Full Member. Being a gambler and being in crypto, I learned to be patient. And I also learned that hard or good (work smart, not hard) work pays off at some point. Having said that, I don't care that much with ranks and merits in this forum, just like I do not care with status symbols in real life as well. Nevertheless I am of course happy to have reached the peak in terms of ranks in this forum and I am always happy to get sent merits, because I see it as an appreciation for help, insights or whatever I have provided my posts. So while this maybe sounded a bit harsh - sorry if it did - I am still very grateful for the mention, thank you.

Thank you very much too, for ranking me up with your merits. The gambling section is a pretty messy board, mainly for the reason that there are so many signature campaigns requiring posts in that board from non-gambling people. But there are also a lot of interesting threads and bright minds, you just have to find them in that chaos I am trying to play my part in upping the quality a bit there, in which I succeed from time to time. But if you stopped gambling long ago, it's better to not visit this section anyway, since gambling also does a lot of bad things to people.

I remember how difficult was in the beginning for people to rank up, especially those from Hero to Legendary.
Good example was Jet Cash. He was so close to the 1000 initial airdrop but started with 500. It was a struggle for him as well for a few others like him.
Back in the day I had a small service to help people to rank up if they were missing 1-2 merit and I love to make people happy (everyone is happy when achieving a milestone like that to rank up) so decided to help you guys out just because making 450+ merit (assuming one started with 500 airdrop) is good achievement and one should stand out as a type of member this forum needs the most. Those members should be kept in the forum so a small bonus is always good. This also will be a good example to the other not so good users, and hopefully they will change in a better way.

I don't think there is anything to do with geography. I didn't knew you were from Turkey until you pointed it out. The things you do is what builds your reputation, otherwise you are just a username as everyone else. You are getting closer 500+ earned merit is not bad at all, you should be proud

I think the "round" counter for users with merits<1000 should be equal to zero, as they technically haven't matured the prerequisite for being Legendary yet.
Take sportsbet.io (or the other couple of accounts with merits<1000): looks like she's been NOT elected legendary for 49 round, which is obviously not true (her activity is higher than the maximum allowed activity to become legendary).
Sportsbet.io will be for sure insta-legenday when hitting 1000 merits.
The other two users will probably be (or they will have a greater chance to be immediately promoted to legendary, being activity>>775).

I do not remember exactly the formula ( I am almost 100% sure I've seen it) but it is on a predefined activity between 775 and 1030. Normally your post count is way over the activity count and every new cycle when you first post you get all the 14 activity together, so basically then you have the chance to rank up.
I don't know how clear i wrote it but I'll check it tomorrow again, it's 1AM (forgot to post it,just fell asleep) here and i should be up in 6 hours again.
