We are excited to present entirely new bridge! This is a fully decentralized solution: all processes operate in strict automatic mode via smart contracts, ensuring maximum security and independence.
Why the New Bitgesell Bridge is the Best Decentralized Solution:
• True Decentralization (Non-Custodial): The new bridge has no central authority. There is no single company that could go bankrupt, freeze your funds, or face regulatory pressure.
• Bottleneck-Free Scalability: The architecture has shifted to an "honest majority" model, removing the need for overcollateralization. This allows the bridge to securely process any volume of BGL.

Instead, the key is shattered into thousands of pieces, which are distributed to random strangers around the globe. To open the vault, the majority of these people must simultaneously agree to combine their pieces.
The process of transferring your funds looks like this:
1. Deposit (Locking BGL): You send your coins to this decentralized vault on the Bitgesell network.
2. Confirmation: The "strangers" (bridge network nodes) see your transfer. They mathematically reach a consensus and verify that your coins are securely locked away.
3. Issuance (Minting wBGL): Once confirmation is received, a smart contract on another network (like Ethereum) automatically "mints" an exact replica of your coins for you — wBGL tokens. One wBGL is always strictly equal to one actual BGL in the vault.
4. Usage: Now you can use this "wrapped" Bitgesell in decentralized finance (DeFi) — lending it out for interest, trading it on exchanges, or using it as collateral.
5. Return (Unwrapping): When you want your real Bitgesell back, you simply click the withdraw button. Your wBGL are burned (destroyed), and the network commands the vault to send your original BGL back to your wallet.
