Scammers are everywhere, I can't see any reason to blame the Telegram. The social media platforms are good places to target the crypto victims and take their money with shady choices. Just don't play the novice trader scenario when they send a personal message first.

well this is a problem because from the beginning a lot of scammers who roam and can do an invite to their group by using a script or other so that you will enter without your knowledge and they start giving you offers to outwit you.

and most of the time, their victims are newbies, who are thinking that they will really get money out of it. but there is a feature in telegram that you can report scammers and tag them, so if you encounter any of them, just make sure to tag them so no one will be a victim of their illegal activities. but one thing that I encountered is, they will pose as a technical support of the exchange, they are closely following every crypto exchange and if they see someone asking for help about their account, they will pm you that they can resolve their issues. i almost got screwed but I sent a message to the official accounts and they said they are not in any way sending pm first to their clients. so everybody should do their due diligence before trusting anyone esp those that will pm you out of nowhere. most official reps will not send you a pm first. and they are clear about it.

Predators always hunts prey, and they always want to go where they could feed a lot, and telegram is the best place to scam people, because there are too many people who are using telegram for bounties and cryptocurrency, especially airdrops that ask fees first before they send you the token, pretty skeptical isn't it? This is because telegram let scammers to misuse it with less efforts as there are many bugs are still to be fixed. One of those big bugs must be, letting scammers to add any telegram user into their group. This way scammers are easily adding 1000s of telegram users wherever they want to. This must be a privacy breach because people are getting added to any group without their permission. I'm not sure why telegram is still not blocking that feature.

As of now it is right to assume that telegram is associated with fraudsters because they are doing business in favor of scammers to exploit them. They also must limit the functionality of bots which are relevant to breaching individual's privacy.

When you see such a scam in a telegram, you should definitely make a report that it is a scam. And if others also make a report, then this channel will be marked as "scam". In this case, all participants will see this, and they will know to be careful.

That's what they are lacking, in observance when it comes to stuff like that, the thing is, people are easily get swayed when it comes to easy money, they always neglect the fact that they need to investigate first before handing over their money (in any amount) to avoid getting scammed by someone in telegram, or wherever it is. How can telegram remove scammer from their application? Every user can become a scammer, and telegram cannot control and read the minds of the users. If you know someone who is scam then just report it and they will do their job well, I've seen them tag lots of scammer users and help new investors stay away from them.

Lack of security really takes the cake there. I mean think about it, you can go to any exchanges telegram group, change your name to "official exchange support person" or whatever and then you can message people and try to scam them.

Surely at this day and age, you are not going to convince all that many people to either give you their details, or even give you money, or basically anything, people are smarter these days and out of 1000 people you try to talk to maybe just 1-2 of them would really fall for it, but it happens and that is why it is a problem.

Plus, you can literally get as many people as you can together in a group if you want, then advertise fake stuff and pin them at the top and hope that some of them would click it, which is why its quite easy to associate it with scammers.
