Oh, yes, and another thing - you don't seem to know what the coin is called - is it 'BonusCoin' or 'Bonuscoin' or 'Bonus coin'?

And the number '10,000,00' isn't one I've met before...

If you want to be taken seriously all these points should be dealt with before going public. Did you get anything proof-read? Code checked by a white-hat?

I'm new to this whole scene, but you, sadly, remind me of the RTFM people I used to rail against in the Linux world. I can't pretend to say I have any idea how good the code behind this client will be -- or if they'll have a smooth start -- but I also don't see any reason for people to be outright trolling unless there's a reason. As for typos, how do you know that English is even their first language? And does it really matter one way or the other?

I agree that some more details on marketing would be nice, but other than that I find most of your comments to just be undeserved complaints and off putting to new persons such as myself if I'm honest about it. I look forward to being a part of this community, and for the most part people seem relatively positive. Though, haters gotta hate I guess

Anyway, don't let them get you down Bonus team! It'll be late for me, but I'm looking forward to the launch. I hope it's smooth for you.

That said, best of luck on the launch and I really like that chart you've added. I've only played with a few wallets, but I haven't seen any with a chart (or at least one that I figured out how to enable it). If it's something new, kudos to you.

Thanks for pointing out that I missed a 0, I corrected it.  While it's somewhat meaningless, I can appreciate that you took the time to study the coin in such detail.  I try to be thorough, but as much as I like to think  I'm infallible, yep, I do make a mistake from time to time. (Granted it's few and far between Smiley )

That said, I'm surprised that you spent so much time looking at BonusCoin in detail, decided against joining us, and yet spent another 10 mins  writing your opinion.   I'm kind of hoping you're really as excited about it as we are and are just trying to convince others with bigger rigs than yours to not mine so you get more coins. Smiley  That I could actually appreciate, it would be a pretty smart strategy!

Anyway, as to your other post about the OSX client, as I said before I would post a screenshot.  We have devs in multiple timezones, so I was just waiting on one of them to deliver me the screenshot.  I wasn't waiting on them to finish the client as you assumed.

So, here's the OSX client (Works in OSX 10.9+) - also posted on the main page.

As for marketing and promotion, I'm sure you can guess that we didn't spend all this time developing a coin to just let it sit.  But then again, I wouldn't want to write all the details as I might misspell something.  LOL

Hopefully, you'll change your mind and join us.   If not, I learned long ago, you can't please everyone.

Adding nodes would be nice.

The way the code is written for launch you really don't need them in the bonus.conf file.

The ports are defined inside the code.  However I've added them to the bonus.conf file on the main thread if you want them defined in the bonus.conf file.  Will work either way.

And the seed node for launch is also included inside the wallet, so you won't need the either.  You can always add more after launch inside the conf, but for launch you won't need them.

Yes, we have all the wallets zipped and will be posting the download links up tomorrow during the day so you'll have them on your computer prior to launch.

The password for those zips will be provided at launch time as will the GitHub source link.

I’m sorry about cross-posting, but I saw the announcement on another forum first and posted there. I just found this forum and it seems more active, so I thought I might get an answer here. I just purchased an ANT miner that should arrive later this week. I'm smart enough to know I need to find SHA256 currencies, but I'm not exactly clear on how to mine a coin. I know I need to wait to download your client, but don't I need a configuration file of some sort? All of the other coins I’ve looked at mentioned a configuration file, but I didn’t see one listed in your announcement.

Thanks!

Cryptzilla,
I'm assuming you've done GPU mining before and are familiar with pools.  If so, you shouldn't have much problem getting up and running.

Once you've done the initial setup of your Antminer (S1, I'm assuming) you basically just need to register with the pool, add a worker, and then copy/paste the URL, worker username & password into the web interface for the Antminer.

The initial setup is pretty straightforward and then after that, switching pools to mine a new coin is really easy.

I'm thinking about recording some video lessons on setting up and using an Antminer S1, but those wouldn't be posted to my site until April sometime.  Here's a link to the setup instructions I followed when I got mine a couple of weeks ago:

http://www.rubicite.com/Tutorials/AntMinerS1Tutorial.aspx

Hope that helps, and happy mining!

About 11.5 hours left to launch!

Be sure to check the thread, I'll be posting up the downloads in a bit.  The passwords won't be released until tonight, but the files will be available for download so bandwidth won't be an issue for anyone.

I'll post here as soon as they're on thread.

Worth, thanks for the information! If I'm able to mine some BNS make sure you post your signature so I can send some over for the help. I knew that this community was mostly helpful people -- glad to have some confirmation!
