I did not get it either, but the words "a platform for" and among three big hurdles mentioned "everyone offer same and promise low fee" makes me think that AVA is going to be a sort of intermediary for services.

AVA platform will be used to p2p payments, stacking, wise network usage. 100% they will and intermediary for something

You can already earn AVA-points on community.ava.network. These can be exchanged for AHX-Tokens.

AVA Hub X (AHX) tokens are non-transferable ERC20 tokens granted through AVA Hub and redeemable in a 1:1 ratio with AVA tokens after the mainnet launch.
