Solana is doing a lot of works. Apart from that their mainnet is also coming. Personally I'm a holder of SOL. I bought at 0.56$ per SOL and it's already at 0.6+. So I think it might be good choice for investment.

Right now there are only normal humans like us holding SOL, so this mainnet event will be quite hard to pump strongly or it may not react at all.

When these big firms and capitals join this just shows SOL's potential. Looks huge news for long term plans and definitely put Solana into bear-market-proof category. If you have a solid 5 year plan you should add some Solana for whatever the price right now. I'd expect cheaper prices to buy back again though, I sold my SOL at over 50$ but didn't buyback yet. I plan to add SOL monthly for a couple of years to my long term portfolio.

Solana is one of the coins which had considerable growth during the bull run and even now, the price is not that bad. I don't think anyone is good with predictions let alone predicting that of Solana but within Solana a lot of projects has been developed and I think Solana is also supporting good projects to launch on its blockchain but however I still think a lot need to be done if they want to be a good competitor to most projects on different chains such as needing a gas or fee to add a token on the Solana blockchain.
In a bid to add a little as to why Solana can still grow more is owing to the fact that there is very fast transaction speed and very cheap transaction charge. Also, the Solana team is out to support more projects which then will have the potential to draw more value to Solana blockchain.

Those are all new blockchains but there is no certainty. I highly recommend NEAR and FTM because many projects have been developed on these two smart contract platforms. CELO has little information and the current capitalization of this project is already high.

LOL.. it is very simple. Solana was overhyped and painted as the next big thing in crypto, but it was not ready for such a promotion. Now they (developers) claim to have resolved the issue, but IMO a lot of the users are cautious now in using this Blockchain. That said, I was surprised at the resilience shown by this coin in the market. The prices remained more or less stable. Anyway, I don't expect Solana to drop out of top-10 anytime soon. Why in this day and age people still participate in known scams like KYC.
A legal contract requires two willing parties, so the first step is a KYC procedure (know your company). That means everyone having access to the personal information given needs to be vetted, approved of. Any change needs to personal needs to be ok'd also. This is not just based on SOLANA, but on other places as well. Of course solana is a bit more about NFT and others are different, like BSC has airdropped tokens. It's probably because of the hype. Solana faced network outages in the past, so I doubt it will gain traction again. I'm yet to see how long Solana will be able to withstand high network activity until the next outage. For such a centralized blockchain, this is to be expected. I'd put my focus on decentralized alternatives with a proven track record of development and innovation.

ETH is a better option, especially with L2 networks such as Optimism and Arbitrum. You will get cheap TX fees and fast confirmation times without sacrificing on security/reliability/decentralization. Yeah true, there was a lot of chaos that happened within the last few years that involved SOL, between freezing of the chain, the FTX deal and so forth it became very hard for SOL to get some attention and love from the community. It's understandable and I think I can see why people do not want to put a lot of money into it, but at the same time some other coin that had this much trouble would have been gone, it would have been out of top 100 by now and would be hated.

So, the fact that all this happened to SOL and it still stands its rank shows that it is one of the stronger coins and we should be liking it. That is for sure, many are happy with their profits through solana as it keeps on pumping and it has topped this week to $120. But, if the correction comes and this is going to be done, I think those people that are in FOMO will start to buy it and think that they need to have it before it soars high. While ETH became less-decentralized with the transition to PoS, it's still the most reliable smart contract platform in the world. I believe that's ETH's main selling point. However, as a person who doesn't have any, and not plan on buying any, I could still give their credit for building something that is good and doing fine, and even when it's facing some troubles, they are really doing a good job not crashing. There has been so many coins that faced lesser troubles and just crashed to near zero levels, this means that SOL faced harder troubles and didn't crumbled and liking it for that reason is not really a bad decision and I respect anyone who buys some.

I think it's too late to invest in sol now. Now is a really good time to sell these coins. Capitalisation is already very large and it will be difficult to grow further. Good to see a renowned stablecoin issuer on the Solana blockchain. This will help drive the demand of SOL all the way to the moon. The project needs real use cases like these to survive for a very long time. Solana has a better marketing/promotion strategy than TRON. The former is losing traction, especially when most developers stopped building on it. With SOL having faster and cheaper transactions than TRX, expect stablecoin activity to increase at a very fast pace. Imagine how big Solana will become if a spot ETF gets the SEC's approval. It might rise all the way towards the third position in market cap (right after Ethereum).

"Fast and cheap" at the cost of centralization and unreliability. Totally not worth it, in my opinion. If you're only planning to use SOL for quick trades or micropayments, this shouldn't be much of a problem. But if you want to preserve your capital for the long term, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. You can hold both SOL and ETH if you want. The decision is yours.

Time will tell us which chain(s) will survive as crypto/Blockchain tech is put up to the test. Just remember to never invest more than what you can't afford to lose, and there should be nothing to worry about.

Well, it is not really as much as a belief in Solana as a reliable ETH alternative as it is rather a belief that it is safe to buy and hold (for a week or two) smaller amounts of Solana on low liquidity exchanges like Poloniex during events in which the price can be expected to diverge due to a problem with the exchange itself. This happens everytime, with any altcoin when a low liquidity exchange decides to "pause withdrawals" to fix the wallet. People panic and start selling their SOL because they think something bad is going to happen. A sudden 60% drop in price is a good chance.

The only danger here is that the exchange might not resume the withdrawals or something happens to the altcoin itself, while you are holding it.

Something similar happened to Ethereum a while ago. Hackers were siphoning funds from people's wallets through dApp permissions. I guess no Blockchain with smart contract features is immune from this. Solana is known to be less secure than Ethereum, so we should expect greater vulnerabilities than the one mentioned. At least, SOL users were advised to take action.

I sure hope Solana achieves resiliency to become a fierce ETH competitor in the future. Firedancer node upgrade may just be the beginning of a wonderful journey for the project. With "meme" coins "pumping" SOL's market price, Solana will be here to stay. It's VCs' favorite coin, after all. Who knows if the next step would be approving a spot ETF for the cryptocurrency?

I would've wished the Solana dev team focused on reliability more than anything else. The network often experiences congestion, and at times, outages. What's "pumping" SOL's market price is none other than the "meme" coins craze. That, and also the recent sale of the Saga smartphone. The upcoming Firedancer node software release promises to fix network outages once and for all, though.

We'll see whenever Solana will be able to truly live up to its name or not. So far, nothing can beat the "King of Altcoins" (which is ETH). Even though Ethereum is slow and expensive at times, you can always switch to a L2 network (Arbitrum, Polygon, Base, Optimism) for complete peace of mind. No outages or network disruptions of any kind. Even BTC has been running without issues since day one. Who knows what will be the future of Solana?

Are you earlier adopter of solana? I also used to believe that this coin could archive huge a lot. But it hadn't came to my focus in 2020. I notice when it was pump higher in 2021 bull. In 2022, it dumped a lot from ath and i listed some altcoins what should i buy in upcoming bull run and solana was one of them.. and bought in with $30-35 avarage price. After that it went down at $20 something but then it again crossed $200 and today i was about to $135 as market is down and such growth is very surprising. That is too much withing some months. Yes. Uptime has been terrible over the past few years. But developers are working hard to solve this issue once and for all. The Solana team promised a third-party node will become a solution to the network's outages. Firedancer is expected to launch next summer. It's written on C programming language which is much more stable and reliable than Rust. If all goes well, Solana could become a soild competitor against ETH. Only time will tell.

Despite SOL's inherent issues, that hasn't stopped investors from pouring money into it. For some time, Solana has been able to retain its spot on the market. I guess many people have faith on this coin. Who knows? Maybe it will break a new ATH in the future.
