I don't know how it is in your area but in my area there are tons of bank ATMs and certain types of credit card merchant machines right by the casino or in the casino. These machines usually have high fees, it doesn't make sense to use them. You are better off just withdrawing money from your bank direction, however people still use them. Why is that? Probably due to all the reasons you have outlined.

People probably already got cash in their wallet and they start to gamble. They lose it all and go on tilt or think they can win it back, so what do they do? Leave the casino and drive to their bank? No its probably closed or too far away. They basically walk a few feet and withdraw more money to gamble away.

Hence the reason why those machines are so effective at making the casino so much money.

I think you are just having a difficult time to say no or to decline your friends invitations and your opponents because you could really lose a lot of money if you push yourself to play more, even you already lose a lot of money. To be honest, when my friends ask me to play and gamble more of my money i have the courage to say no to the because i have enough playing gambling, and that is not bad at all.

This is what I'm doing when I'm with my friends and we are gambling.

I know already from the start that we will go to gamble so when I'm still at home I will get an amount where it is allotted only for gambling and nothing more. If that losses then I will not get money anymore so I will limit my expenses in gambling. Exceeding your limits in gambling will lead you to addiction. Exceeding limits is a proof that you are greedy enough to spend your money where you know already that you are losing all of your money on it.

Anyway, I've missed physical gambling here in my place since I didn't do it for a long time already and because of this stupid pandemic.

Pressure is normal and it's up to us on how we react in stressful times.

You need to be a professional gambler or a well discipline gambling in order for you to manage yourself effective when under pressure.
The fact that gambling has a risk, you will really feel the pressure especially if you are risking a decent amount of money, even if you can afford to lose it.

practice makes perfect, eventually we will be able to learn that and you can get rid of people you don't want to be with you so you can concentrate since it's your money so it should be your rules as well.

I guess this pressure depends on how can we adapt and get used to that kind of environment. I agree with arwin100, maybe this pressure is normal for newbies or for those who are not used going to big casinos.

Ignoring those things might lessen your stress in gambling, and I always suggest that if you're dealing with it you should enjoy and have fun. Don't carry all burdens with you, because if you can't manage gambling the right ways I think depression will dominate in the first place. But this self-control is what some people are missing. I think this is what gambling addicts are forgetting. The stress they get knowing that they are already losing. i don't think in casino this is applicable because there are many players that waiting for slot so once you are enough then stand and others will bet on your place so the opponent will have another one.

But people does have different level when it comes to pride on where they dont like to be ashamed in front of other people or even to his friend.Yeah it

Many times had happened to me, but the good thing playing with my friends are:

1. If you're losing and your friend are winning, he/she can give you some kind of "goodwill" money so that you can extend playing.

2. Conversely, if you're the one winning, you will do the same to your friends

3. If both of you lose, then it's time to go home.

Sometimes you can really turn your luck around and won and give back to your friends, tit-for-tat. This is a unwritten rule between us friends, so I don't know if other physical casino players have this kind of setup with their friends.

If you are getting money in the form of lending the money, then i would not take it from my friend also. Because if my luck is going bad and i took money from my friend, there are chances that i may lose the game again and that money is lost too. So i will later have to pay my friend.

However if my friend give me some money to play more and he will not demand that money later, i will happily play with this free money.

So I suggest whenever you are playing with your friends, try to limit your budget. Its kind of a marketing strategy. It has high fees because they know player would never have a choice and will still use it as long as they can continue playing, some gamblers will be swayed away to withdraw money because they are greedy to get back what they've just lost. Its like a trap.

Back to the topic, I think pressure is normal. You are in the middle of losing money or earning money. I also believe that even a professional gambler still feel the pressure, but they've had so may experience that they learn how to live with it, play with it. They can still think normally under pressure. Pro or newbie, it will always differ on how one can handle the pressure.
