Did anyone noticed that covid-19 restrictions became less strict ? Is it due to mass vaccination? Or because we are about to overcome that virus soon? Or the economy is in need of money and by lowering restrictions governments and business want to cover losses?

Based on my country statistics, this summer data is identical to previous year number of cases/death. Previous summer everything was closed and only limited stores were opened. Today, with vaccine certificate all the doors are opened. In some places, you can even be inside and not be obliged to wear the mask, while you still can be a virus carrier.

It is true that online transactions are one of the ways to prevent the spread of the virus and in my opinion, it depends on the restoration of public activities which were hampered by the pandemic.
Government spending will still be the main driver, through various stimulus before private consumption takes over as the engine of economic growth.
So basically economic growth requires sufficient time to return to normal.

There is a misconception that two doses of the vaccine can protect you from COVID 19. That is not the case, especially with the less effective vaccines such as AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sinopharm. And the efficacy is further reduced by the emergence of new strains such as Delta.

Of course it's not easy to get through a situation like this, especially now that Covid 19 continues to mutate,
so you could say this pandemic might not end anytime soon,
and this is also bad news, especially in some countries, a lockdown policy has been imposed again so that this will have an impact on the community's economy to decline
covid is increasingly transforming in different directions and now there are many cases caused by mutations of this virus, even with the same virus it can become various variants or clusters.
and it is true that it will take more time to clean up these pests coupled with government policies that are not accompanied by genuine life in the community because so many still do not understand the dangers posed by this pandemic.
even if this pandemic is over in the next few months but surely the economy will have a stagnant phase first until it is completely safe it will take a long time

Things were very bad during the covid-19 pandemic. The economy of many countries was hit hard by the virus alot of people lost their jobs and prices went high at that time.Recently since the introduction of the vaccine things have quite improved and economies across the globe are slowly recovering from the effect of the pandemic.

If I'm not mistaken, this was called Social Ending. Can you imagine how scared scared people were when the first local transmission occurred in your country? No one wanted to go outside, the road was very quiet, people were really following the rules while also being scared of the virus. Now, imagine people are not scared anymore. Because they are losing money, the government wants to open the economy. They want to open the economy because their funds are insufficient to sustain the people. When the Delta virus struck our country, only the areas where the virus was detected were placed under lockdown.

Before the second wave here in India, the governments tried to portray COVID 19 as an infection that would cause harm only to those who are above 60-70 years of age. And in many cases, it was true also. Because for the original strain, the mortality was measured at <0.10% for the age group below 30 years. But that changed with the arrival of the Delta strain, which had a much higher mortality rate for the young and middle-aged people. Also, it was much more contagious, and you could be infected even if you are wearing a mask.

I believe that overcoming the covid pandemic is still a long way off.  New variants of covid with a more dangerous level, spreading faster have been continuously cloned and born.  The current vaccine is not in sufficient supply and has only a 60% probability compared to the Delta variant.  The US is a country with a 30% increase in covid cases, that's the proof.  Not to mention the worldwide recession is still going on, it's very difficult to turn the situation around in 1-2 years time.  I think we must continue to suffer for at least the next three years.
So keep your hopes up and develop a plan to prevent problems that may continue to linger.

In our country people were complacent all the time. Ok, maybe first several months in the beginning, when pandemic was announced and there were huge number of cases in Italy, people were more careful and buy goods in huge amount, repairing for a long lockdown. But later they became simply dissatisfied with all that restrictions. Because they all thought that the virus will infect anyone except them.

Btw, UK is the country that amazed me and made me post yesterdays post. The number of cases is still high but UK ease restrictions.

Olympic games will start in no time. Think about how strong it will help the virus to spread and how the results will affect the economy again. But everyone ease restrictions... Thats awful.

Here in India, I have seen complacency in front of my own eyes. A few guys in my neighborhood were mocking anyone who wear masks, saying that those who wear masks are cowards. Entire family was roaming around without any masks and all of them got the infection and landed at the hospital. From what I heard, three of them were in very bad situation, and one of them died. It has been two months since the death, but I haven't seen anyone from that family after this incident. And this is not an isolated occurrence. My friends tell me that such people exist in almost every city.

Not only in every city but in every country there must be people like that,
somehow these people have strange thoughts like that as if the one wearing the mask is a coward,
Of course it's a stupid act that harms yourself and regardless of all that I hope this pandemic can end so that you can live a normal life again

The impact of this pandemic on the country's economy is enormous. Many have changed, becoming called the new normal. The progress or process we are accustomed to slows down. But with this change, there are things that have been changed and added that we are gradually accepting and getting used to today. To continue to recover and re-develop our economy.
The effect of the pandemic on the economy of many countries had affected job opportunities and workers making it looks like business will never grow again. Countries with weak economy had to borrow funds from world Bank to help balance the damage that had inflicted the activities of man halting means to execute businesses and development. Companies and government institutions are now making waves to setup plans to catch up with the trend.

This is expected, the pandemic would really bring negative effects to our economy and we have to accept that reality. I'm sure, as people already started to get vaccinated and business will slowly go back to normal, that would also result in economic recovery. It has happened, we should accept and deal with it, and we also have to prepare for a possible next virus that will come, at least we already have experience and we already know how to handle the situation.

That's certainly true, mate. Current vaccines are no match for the new Delta strain (despite Pfizer and Moderna telling otherwise). A third dose would be required to prevent people from getting infected with the Delta variant. At the pace we're going, it seems that the economy will take a very long time to recover back to the way it was. Governments easing restrictions will have little to no effect over the economy if most of the population is infected. Health should be prioritized first so that money could start flowing again. How long will the world suffer from COVID-19 is a mystery. The more individuals and governments work together, the faster we'll be able to "tackle" the pandemic. I hope we see the light at the end of the tunnel with the last vaccine dose (and antidote/cure) that will be provten the most effective against all COVID-19 variants. Just my thoughts Grin

That doesn't mean that the current bunch of vaccines are completely ineffective against the Delta variant. Here in India, a recent study showed that both the vaccines that are being used (Covishield/AstraZeneca and Covaxin) have more than 80% efficacy against the Delta strain. But the bad news is that in a country of 1.4 billion, the chance of the remaining 20% getting infected would translate to tens of millions of deaths. And not everyone have reacted positively to the vaccination campaign. There are still a lot of people who refuse to take the vaccines.

It is true that not everyone is willing to receive vaccines, as is the case in my country. Maybe this is because there is a lot of news that some people die after 1 day of being vaccinated. This is what our citizens have ordered, if it happens the government is not responsible and this is also a cause for anxiety even though many people also feel that after the vaccine nothing happens. Maybe the medical staff should be more observant about the condition of the recipient of the vaccine..they should be more open if one's body is not strong against vaccines so that the death rate can be reduced.

Some people with criminal mindset are spreading such unsubstantiated rumors. The governments have already published the data of people who faced adverse reaction as a result of vaccination. There were a handful of deaths after vaccination, but most of them were due to other causes. Till now 3.71 billion doses of the vaccine has been administered around the globe. Only a few hundred deaths have been reported (and even among them the vast majority may be due to comorbidities). IMO, those who are spreading these rumors must be arrested and charged with murder.

sometimes the person who will be vaccinated is also dishonest with the vaccine officer, maybe he has a history of an unspecified disease, so that after being vaccinated he has a negative reaction to the body. In my country too many people do not want to be vaccinated for various reasons, but this can actually hinder the government's work without them knowing it

No matter what the economy is, it will recover. During the epidemic, many people work at home because they don’t have a job, and then they know about cryptocurrency, because they can make money here. The demand for currency has risen, and the encrypted economy has gradually risen. Although Bitcoin is now a bit down due to certain circumstances, I think the economy will rise to its peak when the pandemic is completely over.

Among low-income economies, where vaccination has lagged, growth has been revised lower to 2.9%. Setting aside the contraction last year, this would be the slowest pace of expansion in two decades.
The group’s output level in 2022 is projected to be 4.9% (according to World Bank) lower than pre-pandemic projections.

Fragile and conflict-affected low-income economies have been the hardest hit by the pandemic, and per capita income gains have been set back by at least a decade.

the global economy is poised to stage its most robust post-recession recovery in 80 years in 2021. But the rebound is expected to be uneven across countries, as major economies look set to register strong growth even as many developing economies lag.
