I keep getting mention notifications from this thread: List of red flags of CryptoTab
Every time someone posts or replies to that thread I get notification saying I was mentioned, but when I check the thread I don’t see my username mentioned anywhere.

Here's the notification I received. I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issue/mentioned.

Those 3 posts all have the same large quote. Any chance there's a keyword in there that triggers your mention?

I think all the red flags you summarized are enough to judge that CryptoTab is not a good platform. It doesn't stop there, after I explored the internet, I also found they have a lot of products, it seems they want to exploit from various sides.

Can you run /info and share your chat id?

I can see that this post https://beta.ninjastic.space/post/65601507 triggered a post_mention notification to 2 different telegram users which set their usernames as "/start". Is one of them you?

Which username do you see when you run /menu? "Hello, XXXXX"

Well, this seems to be you. I see one of them is tracking ekslays and xlays (same as shown in your screenshot). Your username is set as /start.

To fix this: Run /start and when asked about your username use xLays.

It's the old problem of large print vs small print

Why doesn't the bot use the user ID instead of the username? At least for the configuration, then he can use the username to verify the quote.

To be fair, I think it's easier to get the username right than the user id. People also miss their user id from time to time.

I'll probably add a check so /menu and /start are considered invalid and the bot asks again (I've seen like 2 other users with /menu and /start as their username ).

I'm also getting mentioned by that user! Some of his posts contained my name and some didn't.

For example I got mentioned in this post, but there exists only some links.

Any idea what happened?

He mentioned you and deleted the post afterwards, so nothing wrong in this case.

Btw, if you're getting too annoyed, you can add him to your ignored users list.

You can now ignore boards!

Just select Ignored Boards on the main menu and add the boards (and child boards) you want to ignore. You won't get notified for mentions and tracked phrases on any of that boards.

I didn't notice this update and this is what I am looking for a while back.

Why don't we have an option to ignore specific boards? I feel it will be a great addition to the bot.

Very possible, just need to know if more people would want that.

Only thing, I wish we had an option to enable the notification only for the mentions but ignore the tracked phrases.

Anyway, this can save me from a lot of annoying notifications those are pretty much useless for the word I am tracking.

I just wanna know is there any way to restart/reboot/reset he bot to it's unused/original state and if so, then how? For example when we use this function it would clearout all the data for example the userdata, the mentiones, the tracked users, ignored boards I mean literally everything and then ask us to register again, like how did when we first used this bot!

That only resets the bot state so you get unstuck if something went wrong.

That's an interesting idea though, so I added the command /hardreset which requires an extra confirmation and deletes everything related to you from the database (users, boards, topics, phrases).

IMPORTANT: There is no going back, so only run this if you're sure about it.

I don't see this option inside the menu function. We have to manually type this command right? A little more visibility would be a nice thing in my opinion, with that little warning message of course. With that in mind will you be able to add a button for this function also into the menu? If it's not too much to ask!
