NEW UPDATE!

Added the notifications option "Ignore Nested Quotes"

- When enabled, the bot won't consider nested quotes for a quote notification
- Regular mentions are still detected, like someone writing your username inside the nested quote

The option is disabled by default. Enable it on /menu -> Notifications -> Ignore Nested Quotes


Examples:

1. This quote will not trigger a notification for Cryptoprincess101 (if he has the option enabled), since I'm quoting fillippone and nested quotes are ignored.

Do you like pizza?

I do!

2. Since I'm independently quoting both of them, both will receive a notification.

Do you like pizza?

I also like it!

I do!

Duh!


3. This will still trigger a notification for satoshi, since he is mentioned, even if he has the "Ignore Nested Quotes" option enabled.

That was a quick one, exactly what I asked for. Thank you @TryNinja, I wouldn't be receiving notifications for nested quotes anymore.

I wouldn't limit this to just a "signature" match. Why not 'review', 'Twitter', 'Reddit'...
Even though there are a few of them, I would leave such a custom option.

New menu

A new menu, separating what you want to be notified about (tracked boards, phrases, topics, users) from what you do not want to be notified about (ignored boards, topics, users).



Advanced regex matches

You can create many custom rules to trigger notifications when several conditions are met.

- Title regex
- Content regex
- List of authors (ANY)
- List of boards (ANY)
- List of topics (ANY)
- Toggle "only new topics"

For example: Get notified every time user satoshi OR theymos creates a new topic on the board Services containing in the title Sig Campaign OR Signature Campaign.
Or every time someone writes the word scam OR help on your topic.



IMPORTANT: Title and content only accept a Regular Expression (Regex). You need to escape special characters (like dots) with a backslash (example: www\.bitlist\.co)

You did a great job TryNinja, I love the update because it looks classic and advanced than the former one. I woke up this morning and noticed it too. I was surprised and knew it's something new or my telegram was malfunctioning. I immediately, checked my second phone to see if it was from my telegram app and I saw that it was from your update because my second phone telegram app couldn't work with it and I was told to make an upgrade which I did and it went perfectly.

Nice update! 👍 It looks good overall, although I think I’ll take some time to get used to it.

I’m not really a fan of the large font and the amount of styling. Having the entire notification in italics feels a bit too much. 😕

Also, the background and font colors used for Phrase Match make the text difficult to read.

Well, what to say, I immediately noticed the changes and wanted to post here.
I like the cleaner delivery of the important stuff: merit, mention, or keyword, you name it.
I don’t particularly like a few choices when it comes to text styling.
Cleaner fonts with less artifacts would help readability.
I personally liked the old “quote” layout, but this is good as well, and yes, it will take some time to adapt.

It's nice to see another update and the new functions are excellent
Something I'm going to play with alot. Makes things easier and more specific.
Though the new layout may take time to get used to since its a little complex in my eyes if thats the word.

I like the new update, the old will definitely become something boring which is the reason developers like to use new layouts after a long time period but there is something I do not yet like about the new update which is how the links are in the same colour with the other texts, it will be good if you let the links be in the usual blue format or be in the colour the user set it to on Telegram than to be the same with texts colour, it will easily let people know that it is a link and not a text. This will be the reason some people may prefer the old one but if you do this, they will like this new beautiful update. Thanks TryNinja.

Sorry to come in differently, but I'm having a little challenge with the Telegram Bot.



Since the early hours of today, it shows like this, and on mobile it shows unsupported message.

I've checked my Telegram update, and it's up to date.

I removed the phrase match mark since the dark theme is buggy on some devices (hard to read).

Also made everything the same size and removed the italics (which was added automatically with the h3 heading). Should feel cleaner now.

I am not a big fan of the tables.
I like the lean design of the second option.
But, again, I am not the average user of the forum, be it for age, and modalities of usage!

Now my older devices have completely lost notification support, and I'm still trying to get notifications to work on my S21 Ultra again.

I understand. But can't you update telegram on your older devices? I had no trouble updating to a version that supports the new format, even on an old android phone of mine.

The new telegram rich html gives me more freedom to develop new features, so that's why I started using it.

But I might add an option to enable the old format, at least for notifications.

Why don't you simply update your telegram app or make it update automatically in settings?

But I might add an option to enable the old format, at least for notifications.

You should also check your SimpleX app bot, it's not working for me anymore after I had to reinstall app and add bot again.
