I think the best solution for addicted gamblers is to go to the rehabilitation center since addiction is mental disability so this one could help for the person affected on this.

We can have a different meaning or perspective about gambling but I think we will all agree that gambling includes risking. For me, [gambling is an activity where we risk something valuable to us in exchange for winning or acquiring something that is also valuable].

We can have an objective and subjective definition of gambling depending on our experiences. And what I have said above is the objective meaning of gambling for me. While subjective thoughts, gambling is for leisure and entertainment. I find gambling entertainment and a way to pass the time. * Gambling for me is something you have the chance of winning the prize or any value, if there is no chance then you're not gambling. Gambling requires that there is a chance you might win something for your bet.
* Gambling also considered as a way source of income, there are many gamblers who tend to play because of earning money but the sad part of it is when you tend to play for money but going out having a lack of money.
* Gambling also considered a way of entertainment, there are many people who play gamble just only for entertainment or to kill boredom, it is more fun when you play with your friends.
* Some also considered gambling as a threat, once you become addicted to gambling there are many things that could change, you may lose control, you may forget some of the responsibilities of yours, as a parent, as a child, as wife or husband, etc.
The worst thing is that you may lose all of your property and can cause depression on you.

I think for me I see gambling as an entertainment with a high chance of earning with great risk. We can chose to bet more and win more/lose more. It is some sort of entertainment for me but with the knowledge and desire of winning the game too. We can't deny that the entertainment we got from it comes with the great desire to also win it. I think the difference between me and a compulsive one is I know my limit, I never go beyond, I control my funds and as long as I achieve the limit, I can still afford to stop.

I think we all have different perspective on how we see gambling. I think the meaning of gambling also changes when a certain gambler already focus on winning and getting back what he had just lost. It is also possible that it means profit for some, however, achieving profit in gambling comes with higher risk. That's why hopefully I don't want to see gambling as a profit for myself.

Gambling in it context can't be define as a general acceptable definition but as individual definition. You define what you think about gambling as well as others. But into this case, gambling to me is: an avenue were you can easily relax your mindset while having fun, being that, am defining gambling in the context of womanhood.

Most of my gambling these days are now be done on sports betting due to the covid-19 lockdown. i dont need to read your long post just to answer this thread because all of us has own preferences in playing/gambling and we must respect those.

I Gamble depends on my mood,and yes i must admit that sometimes i am playing to look for Big winning specially when there comes a time that troubles in financial comes but this happens only for few times .

But why i really play mostly?that is to lessen the stress and to make fun specially when playing with friends and close one.

That is interesting. But, you are NOT making use of gambling but the gambling industry. If you are suffering due to lockdown restrictions on these pandemic periods then you may try skill based gambling which must be having more than 60% chances to get you profits if you are equipped with required skills. I suggest you to develop skills before entering into gambling and further more, do it at your own responsibility and not just due to my suggestion .

Different people have different definitions when it comes to gambling. Maybe some defines gambling as a way for them to get some money quick. Some may say that it is a way for them to relieve stress etc etc.

For me, gambling is a way for me to be excited whenever I watch games. It maybe sounded different but I only bet on sports games and not on card base games or other games that are common in the casinos like poker, roulette, dice etc. I only gamble so that the excitement will be higher whenever I watch my favorite teams playing. I don't know everyone’s story; I just want to tell you my thinking about gambling. There was a time when I was too much addicted-on gambling. As usual I lost a lot of money by gambling, at the same time I was able to make a lot of money too. I used to go casino every day and I stayed there all day later, I became too much addicted to alcohol. But after marriage, my life changed a lot, she helped me to think about my life, I calculated how much I earned and how much I lost in gambling, on the other hand I addicted to alcohol and some drug. Anyway, since you already cited the definition of gambling. That is an endlessly entertainment for us gamblers, I consider it also a sin. A sin in my profession. Because in my profession, gambling or any activities that relate in gambling will revoke our license. Since it was indicated in our Code of Ethics.

Well, I think that is entertainment, and yes gambling also falls under the category of amusement/entertainment industry.  Though I never think of gambling activities as having fun since it is no fun if we see people's lives getting destroyed due to their gambling addiction.

Gambling for me is changing with my age and techology.
As a child, it were games played with my pocket money on local fairs. Didn't realized I was gambling at the moment.
On High school, played poker with friends, even visited some underground poker clubs.
As an adult, I have visited to casinos but rarely played there.
