Would you donate in a casino?

Even though many countries have reopened borders and people are getting back to work in the offices, the complicated time isn’t over yet and the risk is still high.
There are several organizations where you can make your efforts by donating.
We here at Bitcasino have teamed up with some of the charity giants and in collaboration have run loyalty points donation campaign and charity poker tournaments.

So my question here is, if you are a person who is willing to donate, what choice would you rather use:

• Participate in special charity programs or
• Have a permanent possibility to donate straight on the casino site?

I have been wearing a Charity signature now and i am happy helping the needed,and specially people around me the best that i can.

i stopped gambling for a while to prioritized my activities in our community being a Front liner,and my profit from this campaign is i used for helping others and i double it,meaning the amount i get plus my own money goes to the family that i believe needs care.

though i am offering small help but for me this is what i can to provide for my countrymen.

So basically i will not donate in gambling site instead i will use the money to help personally so i am sure my money goes to the people that in bad shape in this crisis.

There are many people that don't see casinos as a legit and honest way of making money so I don't think there are many who would do that. In fact, many people would think it is suspicious because there  are many scammers around.

They'd rather choose the first option where people specifically do this (collecting donations) professionally.

I know that all countries affected by the pandemic still need a lot of help from various parties. Not for the country but specifically for the people. Donations are needed for those in need. For the first option, I am very sure gamblers can consider it. But for the second option I think many people will avoid it for various reasons and one of them is the transparency and credibility of the site.

In some cases, donations from any site will improve the reputation of the site to be better and are known for caring about the social environment. But without expecting donations from players, I am sure the site can still do it on their own if they want to. Setting aside a few percent of your total profit every week or monthly to donate to charities is a good way to make the sites reputation better.

I think I would donate directly to organizations or people who needed help. It is not that I don't trust people in casinos or other third parties for the donation, it is just that it feels much better when you see those people smiling at you, it is something precious and it is kind of addictive since it is the reason why you help, because of those smiles.

I would also think about donating to casinos as I may have my own list where I would feel to donate it or myself going directly to those needy people and handing out what they may require. But having said that if the cause is really good then I am open for the donation in casinos as well.

Giving to the needy people is the only intention of asking donations, so who we want to help decides whether we have to donate by themselves or anyone got help is enough.IMHO helping a nearby person is more important, if you didn't find anyone who needs help then we can donate to charity programs run the reputed members or organizations.

In many of the online casinos we have the option "Rain" and lots of player use to rain some amount of their winning amount everyday. So if there is a donation option and the casino genuinely donates to the needy one then lots of players will donate I think. I would personally like to donate rather than training in the casino.

I'd prefer to do it on the casino site. It's easier than choosing programs and all that. For gamblers it's all about convenience.

I'd also not donate all my wins but rather a part of it. I still need some money to be able to keep playing and my main goal is to make more. If I want to solely donate I won't do it in the casino. A casino will only be a bit more convenient when I donate part of my profit.

It is much more effective to provide charitable assistance directly to those organizations that need it. This way you can be sure that the money went to the organization you wanted to help. You can also control how your money is spent.

Your initiative is also good. Many people will agree to help you.

If there will be transparency then I think there won't be a problem.
Members had their answers which is mostly donating with another organization.

I think trust is the issue here.
With your choices though, I would rather give the money for donations rather than being on the field which will also risk your life.
There are already courageous people doing it so I think I am good staying at home to help with the funding.

Yeah right transparency is truly needed since all things need to be documented so that the donators will know on where the money spent and if it really goes to the correct institution. I would trust only if they will tied up a partnership with legit organization or with the government for this charitable project and for that for sure many people will fund or donate.

i think i prefer that option as well. rather than donate in a casino, why not give straight to the person nearest to you that you know is in need of assistance? guess there are a lot of individuals nearest to you who badly need your help. a lot of them will not show that they need help but once you ask or know whats going on, that when they will start spilling the beans..

Actually, I don't think there is any need to donate to the casino.  Every casino owner is rich enough, I don't see any reason for them to have financial problems to reopen the casino. I've made some donation to some people in my area, they are really poor, most of them are day laborers and they lost their job due to lockdown. many of them are starving for several days with their families. I think there are a lot of people around us who are in dire financial straits, we should give them first.

Talking about government charities then those funds are just totally came from peoples tax so its just normal that there should be an allocation in terms of charity projects that do help out people on said country.
If not then they would really be questioned on where those funds go aside from infrastructural projects and more.Just like here on my country where it do have that kind of charity which they do get from

When it comes to donation then there are lots of institutions out there which do welcome other peoples donation too.

The funds from people will back to people who needed. That is what tax function. People pay the tax, no matter what their business, and that is an income for the country. With the funds, the government prepare that funds and they allocate big money just in case if many people suffer and need help. When people receive the money, they will not ask where the money came because they will appreciate the government, which help them when they needed. And that makes us see many charities will be available in one country to help many people who really need help.

Yeah mostly we can assure that the money we give for religious group will go to the right person, But there is a trend right now in my country where streamers conduct a charity streams so that they can donate to a less fortunate and all things are well documented together with a video with the donations given to the people so I think this is one of the innovative way for people to donate since this is quite convenience to the people who doesn't want to go out and want to help.

And also I don't want to donate on casino who conduct a donation campaign since for sure if they really want to help they have millions of funds to used for that.

I think that is a new trend that happens in many places so they can reach more people that want to help people who needed. Besides the new trend, that can be looks like the charity foundation doing a great way, and that will make people trust them as the way to donate their money. If that charity foundation can gather so many people who want to give the money, it will not take too long to collect some big amount so they can distribute the money to people out there who needed.

I am sure it is easy for the casino to donate some of their income to the charity because their profit will be bigger, and it is no problem at all for them to give some money to help people.

The Star Casinos in Australia (Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney) have drop boxes at their main entrances to enable patrons to drop poker chips/fiat and / or paper slips from the gaming machines (usually pokies - sometimes as low as a couple of pennies) - the funds are tallied up and donated to local registered charities.  Presumably the others have similar drop boxes at their main entries.  I would be surprised if overseas Casinos didn't have drop boxes poker chips/fiat etc could be donated.

Personally, If I was to donate, I'd do it straight to the org of preference. Don't like third parties in these things unless they can 100% prove they will deliver the funds eventually. An option for casinos could be adding the choice for winners to donate a percentage of their winnings. It coul be a direct question every time they win or a pre-set choice from the user's profile.

I think one of the best ways is donating your funds to the people on the poorest of the poor instead of the religion I'm not against on any religion infect there are one of the next highest market earners because the number of their supporters and people believes on them.

That depends on the person donating, people who donated money through religious institution are also donating in other ways or directly to the people they like to help, they just have enough funds so they are looking for difference channels to distribute the donation.

I think in cases like this pandemic, those religious institutions who are asking for donations, they also use it to help less fortunate people. I bet the money isn't directly for them, they are just being a medium for people who wants to donate. For example churches, also help people in need with the money they received from donations so basically, it's just like other organizations. But if you don't trust all religious institutions because they might just scam people, there are well-known and trusted institutions you can choose to ensure that your money is really being used to help other people.

And if you lack connections, it's hard to find people personally, who really need help. Maybe that's the reason why most donators are looking for an institution that can give those funds for those who need it, rather than directly giving it person by person.

Maybe the casino can input it when withdrawing? Or casinos collect more fee and a certain portion of that could be for donation or something. Sometimes when I withdraw in an ATM, there's a donation page if you would donate a few cents for a charity or something.

Casinos can make their own way to help the unfortunate people during this trying times and its a good initiation. But I prefer to donate in my known charity organization personally because im aware how they use the money and I can also participate in their charity works since it is near on our place. We can extend our help in our own little way, a simple gesture like giving food to those who are in need is a big thing already.

The casino can contribute itself from the profits of hundreds of dollars or even millions of dollars, I do not think why casinos should open a charity just to get popularity from donors. Don't offence, I contribute more directly to people in need or through charitable institutions or trusted charity communities that provide targeted assistance.

Even though casinos are rich enough to help many people, its still also good to create charity program and yes I'm willing to donate as long as its legit and its purpose is good. We have to help many people as much as we can, and as a gambler instead of wasting our money, sometimes its good give back to those people who are in need. This is a delicate topic.I would never donate directly to a casino as a casino needs no donations.The casino can try to donate directly to the needy.I would gladly participate in poker tournaments which will donate the collected funds for charity.The casino should be kinda a sponsor also here.In the end the casino should donate to the needy if it feels so.

Thank you all for your thoughts.
So far we have partnered with charity programs and made our contribution through those organizations.
My idea here when starting the topic was to create a Donate button on our casino site where you can choose yourself which organization would you like to make the donation to (like your unused loyalty points or some % of your winnings).

Now, that's a difficult choice if there is no track record of every donation they had already made.
I mean, there must be proof of everything first to sound legitimate.
Especially now where we are in a pandemic. Groups can use this as an alibi for their evil works.

So, I would rather participate if that will be the case.
But with proof of donation, I may just offer money that I can afford.
