I read this news today. https://www.boxingscene.com/manny-pacquiao-fight-golovkin-freddie-roach-says--149298What do you think about this fight, Manny seems like to break his current record to be the ninth division champion. At the age of 41, Roach said Pacquiao could be eyeing a title in a record ninth division against one of boxing’s all-time great middleweights. If this fight happen, who is your bet?

Manny Pacquiao is one of the kind, he is already 41 years but he can still beat fighters at their prime. I think this is a good fight, GGV is 38 years old but still an explosive fighter, I think if this fight happen, it's gonna be an explosive fight, both fighters will be going forward to knock each other.
Manny is going to make history again if he win in this fight, he will be the only 9 division champion in boxing,
I'm wonder who is the favorite between the two based on the betting odds.

Yes, Mane is getting old, but he's still a strong opponent, and he's going to try to hit his opponent with all force to drop him for the ninth title!! The prospect of who wins in the confrontation remains difficult because GGV has a desire to win the title too. I will place my bet for ggv.

Manny Pacquiao did not mentioned about retirement in any interviews he has ,meaning he will continue going up the ring until that notice comes out His mouth because the Man is always open about Plans in future. And i believe that there are still political strategy in this part because he wanted to stay famous until the Presidential election in the philippines happen in which he is one of the aspiring candidates . and also even if he aged 40+ now yet He is still fit for the fight so yeah this might happen soon.
Manny is going to make history again if he win in this fight, he will be the only 9 division champion in boxing,
Win or Lose mate,Manny will always make History because He Himself is already a History. but of course we all love seeing Him win.

Nice to see one poster already voted for GGV, I voted for Manny because he is my favorite fighter, I know GGV is good but I like the strategy of Manny in the ring, this time he is facing a fighter who is not already in his prime, so I guess Manny will win convincingly here compared to his last fight.

This would be the best boxing fight this year if it would really happen. If we still alive we will witness another record-breaking moment in boxing history. This should be done because Pacquiao will retire at any moment because of his age. No matter how good he is right now if he is getting older. their fight will not be the same as it used to be. now is the right time for this fight to happen, even though Manny has reached the age to conclude in the sport of Boxing, he still has the passion the hunger to fight the best of boxers out there. we could not really tell if it's gonna be the same next year though.

Floyd rank at number 1 is unarguable, he was an undefeated champion, but I know most fans would choose Manny over him as Mayweather is boring to watch, he just love to run and score, he is a kind of boxer that knows how to manage the risk inside the ring, he called himself the money because he generates money, but I believe fans are buying tickets or paying PPV just to see him lose.
If this fight happen, who is your bet?
Obviously my vote goes for Manny.

So far Manny is winning the vote obviously because of his last performance against Thurman, but they are fighting in the middleweight, which is too much for Manny, Golovkin is a natural middleweight, Manny is known for his speed and accuracy I have little doubt that he can carry that speed to that weight, this is the first time I doubt about Manny because he is not getting young if they ever fight I hope not in the middleweight but on a catchweight like 150.

I thought he will be fighting crawford a much younger boxer but i guess there's no merit for him in those fighters as they're only rising stars. Golovkin is a perfect match and it might trigger floyd to come out of hiding, if that is his main goal.

I thought it is Garcia, there are a lot of hype about their fight months ago and both fighters have agreed but the contract is not yet signed, everybody wants Pacquiao they want to be the fighter to retire Pacquiao, and Manny wants a bigger buck, but the fighter who can give him a mega buck fight is Crawford, Golovkin is also dangerous and Fighting triple GGG has a lot of risk.

Well, I am not expecting this match up but I kinda like the idea. If he's not gonna get Mayweather then setting a new target that's equally interesting is not bad at all. I can consider this as a legacy fight for both boxers. I bet GGG's camp would easily accept this if offered with decent terms. ~ I'm wonder who is the favorite between the two based on the betting odds.
Younger, taller, and at his comfort weight class - it has to be GGG. At least that's what I want to happen so I can bet on Manny with better odds

I love both these fighters but i do not want to see Manny Pacquiao taking on Gennady Golovkin as he is a murder and Manny was into many battles and he is having a duty as a politician while Gennady Golovkin is completely focused on boxing and the battles he had against Canelo Álvarez was great and i do not see Manny Pacquiao winning this because of the height and size difference, if this fight took place 7 years ago i would have given him a chance.

Well, I brought up here the image that came from the OP, if you look it regarding their physical comparison Golovkin has an advantage of heights and it is taller than Manny Pacquiao. But as a fellow countryman of Manny Pacquiao, I am going to support him whatever happen on the ring. I believed that this legendary boxer will continue his career in the boxing industry. Indeed, this bothers in my mind, it is a great career move for Pacman to fight GGG?
Well, my boxer idol Manny Pacquiao is a great warrior and he has better odds here.

At 41 years old?Manny is still Fit and faster (but of course i doubt if he can still beat ages 30 and below with speed and accuracy ) But there is still some fight to expect for Pacquiao before He finally Leaves the ring for good. And like what the Post above says?there is a chance that Politics is still Behind why Manny is still wanted to go fight when he is already super rich and can even live luxurious for the rest of His life.

Golovkin can out-punch Manny on the first few rounds, no doubt, but if we are going to talk about stamina, speed and quickness, Manny has the edge and can go toe-to-toe with Golovkin for all 12 rounds. The only thing that Golovkin has to do is to either seriously injure Manny while he still has full stamina and his punches are still strong OR knock him out cold, but the latter is just not going to happen given how defensive Manny has become with his last few fights after Mayweather. Defense-wise, Golovkin can take some heavy punches, but I'm not sure how he's going to survive at 8 rounds or so when he shows some exhaustion and stamina depletion.
I'd bet for Pacquiao in here not because of the record or hype, but seriously, all stats aside, Pacquiao is the better fighter in most aspects.

I just have to agree with this. I finished Golovkin's highlights all I can say is that he is a strong puncher, he is bigger than MannyPac but as you have said MannyPac has the edge on stamina, speed and quickness coz I also noticed the exhaustion of Golovkin on the latter rounds of his fight with Canelo. He is not used to finish the 12 rounds of a box since he often finish his bouts after 6 to 8 rounds, so maybe there's a chance that Manny could go after depleting his stamina before going toe-to-toe. I'd bet for Pacquiao in here not because of the record or hype, but seriously, all stats aside, Pacquiao is the better fighter in most aspects.
Me too, regardless of his age, he is still MannyPac, the only 8th division world champion and soon to be 9th division ( crossed fingers ) Seeing the powerful uppercut of Golovkin in the 12th round of his fight VS Canelo makes me more to be favored with Pac. You guys should watch that clip so you'll know why.

If this fight happen, who is your bet?
I have been a fan of Pacquiao, even though he is from a different country in the Philippines, I have to put a thumbs up on him, it is he who currently survives in the boxing ring which has an elite ranking of the world, he is among the senior boxing bettors who are currently in the Asian continent, even though Pacquiao is now 41, Pacquiao still seems to be in his 20s. Pacquiao, has won 62 matches to date, Pacquiao, as far as I know, is a reliable boxer who has a lethal, left-handed style, who has won boxing, world champion, in a different class. If, they bet for sure, there is no doubt I will place my bet on Pacquiao's side.

They're both getting old to be honest, but I think that Golovkin is just too big for Pacquiao, particularly now that the Pacman is over 40 years old.
GGG was competitive with Canelo back in their last two bouts and that was just a couple of years ago. Everybody knows that Canelo is one of the greatest to ever do it in any weight class, and GGG managed to keep up the pace and arguably won their first fight.
I know that Pacman is a multi-weight champion, but I think this is biting off more than he can chew. I also think it would be his highest ever weight fight as I'm sure GGG isn't going to come down in weight.
I predict this will be the fight Pacman gets retired in. GGG is a god damn savage, he will probably knock Manny clean out if he hits him with the same bombs that Canelo took.
