For the record bro, Manny is not calling on GGG to fight him instead it is Roach who floated the idea of a Manny vs GGG fight while it is Arum who wants Crawford to fight Manny but i won't be surprised if at the end of the day, Manny would choose to fight one of the Garcia's.

It does not come from Manny directly but I think that Roach would not say that if Manny would not approve of that fight.
Of course, Arum here had some personal business too as he wants his boxer to fight Manny so he can make some good money from the fight.

As already posted by some of the users, the idea was not Manny's. However, Manny maybe interested in the fight against GGG, because it is going to break all the revenue and viewership records from his previous fights. It may become his biggest fight till date, even surpassing the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao of 2015. Any potential fight against Crawford or Spence may not come within miles of this one.

Who wouldnt be interested if you do know that this fight would give out that 9th division belt? This one would be a good fight and we have seen different insights comparing between boxers.
When it comes to ppv sales then theres no doubt that this will sell out pretty well cant be sure if it would surpass Pacquiao-Mayweather though but this one would be big.

A boxer will go all the troubles and will be pound over and over by a fist that can strike heavier than a jackhammer has to think of money and then the production who will also take a cut. Times of recession, both Pacquaio and GG probably would want big shares and the production can't guarantee if PPV can generate that much because people don't have jobs.

In Crawford's 36 record match, he hasn't involved yet on the big fights with big names which makes him disappointed.

Pacquaio's last fight should be on the boxer that already established a good track record on their history. GGG is the best choice.

Honestly, I would like to see this Pacquiao vs GGG compare to Pacquaio vs Crawford. I mean, GGG is no doubt a big name on his division. But the thing is, Freddie Roach is not part of Team Pacquaio anymore. He is only there when there is a fight as a consultant (given to him by Manny for some sort of gratitude for all he have done to Manny) on a per fight basis. All the words that came from his mouth is a pure opinion and the two of them does not engage in a conversation at all.

This fantasy fight would only occur at 147lbs which i don't think GGG is willing to take besides what would he get if he fought Manny this time, money? GGG would be better be pursuing that trilogy with Canelo for more money and he is not going out of his comfort zone.

For Manny, even if he beat GGG at 147lbs, that would not count as a fight for the Middleweight, so the purpose of fighting for that 9th division title is defeated and it will leave a bad taste in the mouth to some boxing fans.

No way Roach would make such statement if he is not confident that Manny can beat Pacman, he is the trainor and he knows what Manny can do in the right. I agree that Spence and Crawford is the best choice for Manny since obviously they campaign in the same division and they are the current and defending champion. Why they wanted GGG? more money I guess and probably they have a better chance of defeating him his he is slowing down already, but still dangerous.

Both Spence and Crawford are now at their prime and if Manny could beat both of them, similar to what he did against a young Keith Thurman, then Manny's stock will elevate higher and then probably chase Golovkin for his last fight and win. That will be the perfect ending for Manny Pacquiao's career.

I think we are overrating this possible fight.

Manny has a lot of best fights and I don't think Manny vs. Mayweather is the top of it. I think if we will be talking about the most earned fight of his, I guess I will be taking it. There is a lot of fights that we can tell that can be the best, and in my opinion, I would go with Manny's fight and Miguels Cotto. There are articles that say that Dela Hoya Vs. Pacquiao is great but I think his fight with Cotto is also amazing.
