The pressure from the casino owners might be too much for the mayor of Las Vegas hehehe. However, for a populated place, the cases of the coronavirus in Nevada is lower than the others. It might be easier to control the virus with proper social distancing rules and protocols.

They should copy what New Zealand is doing, I reckon. There were no strict quarantine rules imposed, only proper guidelines were followed.

All things will depend on its citizens itself.If they do follow protocol/guidelines on a very disciplined manner then it doesnt really need to have that quarantine.If other countries able to do so then why not other countries not able to follow? This is why i can say that outcomes or situation will really differ on each country depending into its citizens. Virus cant be stopped but can really possibly be slow down its spread if people are just following
rules.Normal living is still possible but with having some modified guidelines, if people can just follow it then i dont see a reason why services etc. cant really be resumed out?

I think their government implemented their plans nicely and citizens help them by following all the precautionary steps. IMO other corona affected countries should follow New zealand which will teach them that following strict quarantine is not the only weapon against Covid19.

I tend to agree that online gambling is one of the safest ways to gamblers and avoid being infected by this virus.

But if people in Las Vegas are if really want to gamble in the casino, they should follow protocols and guidelines on how to protect yourself if there is someone carrying the virus. Because there are some people without any symptoms that may be able to spread the virus. However, online gambling is recommended than opening in Las Vegas and putting your life at risk.

Probably the mayor of Las Vegas thinks only the beneficial on it, not the consequences that might his people were getting infected.

If I'm the mayor of Las Vegas I'll just leave a suggestion in front of their door saying " Why not make it online?" because even we are 3 months in our home now, the virus is still there and keeps spreading and is not really SAFE. In my country the rules are very strict but the people? ahh they suck on following the rules, a simple stay@home policy can't be in effect with such an uneducated people. Our government tried to open malls, but only those stores who has people necessities BUT then the first day that it was open it was very crowded af like nothing is going on around.

If all the people there are not educated on the proper protocols there will be a huge number of infected in that city I hope before they start opening establishment they have all the right protocols laid out and every employee are educated on how to implement, they want their business back, then they should do the right thing and that is follow strictly the guideline and the protocols.

The longer the delays of the reopening, the mayor's career is at stake.  She really has more to lose here, maybe even have to move to another city far from Las vegas if she wouldn't give what they want.

The casino owners are confident that there are still people gonna be going there though so if money comes because of this reopening, it might just be worth doing. What's Coronavirus compare to money.

Well, that was the same here in our country. Lockdown places have been slowly lifted and all businesses are open. I think that was the same situation in Las Vegas. They need to open businesses and gambling casino is a part of a business and perhaps give a lot of contribute to economic growth in the country. Perhaps they can manage the new normal system that most countries had. If they will follow the COVID-19 protocol on their place such as social distancing, wash hands, or use sanitizer and even wearing PPE is very important. These could be helpful and continue with having revenue in some countries.

I am optimistic that the reopening of Las Vegas will be very positive. Nevada followed the protocol that has been successful in the middle of the Coronavirus. Unfortunately other states in the USA did not suffer the same fate. The reopening of the Casinos in Las Vegas is necessary due to the economic engine that it means for the region.

It will be good news for people who already comes to that casino so they can play gambling again in the pandemic, but they need to be very careful if they want to visit those places. We are still in the pandemic, and we don't know who will be the next victim, so we need to think twice if we want to go to that casino. But now with all the riots and protests going on not just in the USA but worldwide, I think coronavirus is going to have a really good time coming back and spreading but guess what? Most young people will not even be symptomatic so they will spread it to kids and elderly without even knowing.

I saw some pictures, and on that pictures casinos in Las Vegas are already full of people! For many of pandemic era never really existed, it was just a big manipulation. It's normal to be careful, to keep yourself safe from diseases, I don't think we needed this lock down, but now it's all over, and we can't do anything about it!
This video you shared is a bit spooky, I wouldn't go in casino where all workers wear masks and gloves, that would spook me and I wouldn't feel comfortable! But it's me, I will probably not go in casino anyway, only because I like to gamble online with my crypto!

I guess we all knew that Las Vegas casinos were planning to open soon, but how many of you’ll actually thought that they would be opening it so soon? because I’m shocked that they have opened it as the number of corona cases are rising only.

Furthermore flights to Las Vegas are already full, and people are coming in large numbers to play out there, hence I’m sincerely praying that no one gets infected while playing out there.

Though they have set up various safety measures, but I’m not sure what their protocol will be if it’s found that an infected person played out there, will they be forced to shut down their casinos, or will it be business as usual for them?.
