Good to know then, thanks for the heads up as I believe these two additions will raise the overall confidence towards the wallet.
When bitcoin is under heavy usage like these days, there are always some window opportunities to send some cheap transactions too (mainly during weekends & holidays). I believe an upgrade like this will bring more users on board.  Smiley
I understand LN requires some more time also because we shouldn't forget that LN itself is in its beta stage.

I'm a bit confused here and I need some info probably from those that have already give this wallet a try, on OP it says that you create a new wallet and login, if the wallet is fully decentralized why do users need to login? If I don't read the whole info I won't know that this wallet gives users access to their private keys or recovery seeds, so what am I missing here?

If you are familiar with myetherwallet you will not be confusing here. Login means you have to put a seed, private key, or Keystore file to access the wallet, not an email or phone number.

go to account info to know your seed and go to tab address to know your private key (click key symbol)

As user Droomie above just points out, login is just a user-friendly way to tell people, this is how you login.

Instead of a username and password (which then connects to a centralized database on most other central services), you're simply entering your private keys or seeds. You can even "login" offline:)

Could you consider a series of video tutorials for Bitamp users, please.

I know there are simple things but people are different and newbies always have their troubles (newbie troubles) with simple steps and issues. The elderly will have their big troubles to use computers and obviously if they are using a first bitcoin wallet. Tutorial videos can be published on the Bitamp website or on Youtube (if you want to use Youtube).  Lips sealed

I think it would be beneficial for Bitamp to run some video or written review contest or bounty. There are several examples in the Services section of how other companies have done this.
Or you might just ask your bounty manager, Hhampuz, to give you some suggestions.

I dont see any lacking steps on here when it comes to marketing. Running a signature campaign alone will really be that enough but if they do still have some budget left then it isnt
bad to consider on adding up more but this will be better if it will be put up in social media campaign.

Creative idea and Hhampuz has video managements for Roobet company. Video, avatar, content contests for further promotion to expand the Bitamp customers.

The more the better and people have more preference on videos and they feel more easily to learn things from step-by-step guides with videos. Not yet mention about the more traffics to Bitamp website from the Video Tutorial Centre.

Agreed and thanks for the ideas, guys. As mentioned before, all these are marketing activities that need money, and it's got to be a good ROI to be able to embark on such things, not to mention capital. Roobet has a different business model, as does Bitamp. You can imagine it's very different:)

I know but without the Video contest, Bitamp team can create the team-built videos for basic tutorials to use Bitamp wallet. It can make difference in the adoption of the wallet and the more easily and friendly a video watchers feel about Bitamp wallet, you will get more users.

Videos need to be short, not too long, not longer than 3 to 5 minutes. The Video Tutorial Channel will need many short videos.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to the Bitamp team.

Right because roobet is much successful business and they can afford to throw more money in their marketing aspects and I think its not really needed to create any of those right now since, Its kinda waste of money to throw on that kind of promotion where they can pay a small amount to those people who can create those video tutorial. Maybe creating some sort of activities which can create an engagement to the site itself like running a referral contest which gives a rewards to the person who got more sign ups on the site and I think more good(But this is just a suggestion only) Cheesy.

Good idea, maybe when the exchange feature ready, this promotion can be done to attract many users using the wallet and exchange, but as far as I know currently Bitamp does not have a referral feature.

That's why its good to create this feature since for sure many will promote this site even without payment since they can get a referral commission for their invites and after this implementation if this will really happen in future the suggested contest can be inserted to boost the traffic and possible engagement to the site.

This are worthy to be added since it can give good impact on bitamp in terms of marketing and promotions.

Yes, this is good, but as bitamp said before, they have limited budget to work with right now that's why these haven't expanded their marketing except for a couple of youtube videos and this signature campaigns which has been going for months now with occasional paused in between.

So maybe their priority is to promote their product here in our community and expand later.

In any case, bitamp is a good wallet, very user friendly. And yes, belated Merry Christmas to everyone and happy ATH.

Looks like Bitamp could be good alternative for blockchain.com wallet, but I think it needs to to finish adding features like exchange and lightning network first.
I would personally like to see switch on website for changing theme from light to dark and few more cosmetic changes, with enabling full control for choosing exact fee for sending bitcoins (maybe with advanced settings).

How important is a private crypto wallet?

Privacy is always going to important to you — you should even consider it not just your right, but your duty to maintain your privacy.

I like Ledger and recommend it a lot as a hardware wallet but the fact it’s not private means it’s vulnerable, like any other centralized service that keeps customer data, to hacks and leaks. Which is exactly what has just happened.

Use a wallet that never collects any information about you. Like Bitamp or Electrum;)

^^ Definitely, Electrum is on top, light weight, SPV wallet, and then bitamp, of course, your product is new that's why it's hard to compete against Electrum. But it doesn't mean that you can't corner some bitcoin users to take your wallet for a rest and test it. Just like what most of us did and I would say that you could have satisfied customers already. And you will see in the feedback that they are actually breaking it, sort of finding vulnerabilities which is a win-win situation.

I noticed the section for Network (at the bottom left corner) of the website. Can the Bitamp team consider to add the transaction fee (suggestion) for users who want to broadcast their bitcoin transaction with Bitamp wallet. In addition, the right to customize the fee from Default to Fast and Slow.

Someone requested our answer today: Does the US population only own 5% of the Bitcoin market?

Doubt this is true. It’s true that in the early days there were more North American Bitcoin users and owners than the rest of the world but today, the US is probably one of the most difficult places to buy Bitcoin.

Most of the world’s developed economies allow you to buy P2P, for example, which is impossible without a license in the US. And you have access outside US to all kinds of exchanges online — that don’t accept US citizens.

It may change soon with PayPal and others gearing up for BTC legitimately but it’s hard to believe 5% of the market is in American hands.

What do you think, guys?
