I like this forum, and I have understood little about it, it makes use of merits and activities to rank members. I have checked few threads and I saw well written posts. The forum is a bit hard for me to start but I know the beginning could be hard but the later would be easy. I have also noticed few other things about this forum.

The forum to earn but quality contributions are prerequisites
Yes, this forum can be used to earn but I like it that only Full members and more ranked members earn better, I noticed the more the rank the more the possibilities of opportunities. But, before we can earn here, we need to be patient and contribute qualitatively.

Importance of the merits
Merits is a very good thing because it will makes this forum clean, making it full with quality threads, if the merit is not implemented, there will be more spammers and people that post uselessly will abuse the forum, I like the merit for this reason.

Low rank members are still ranking higher
I would have complained saying this forum is full of cheaters but with the profile of some members I checked, I noticed people are ranking higher, which means I just need to think of a way to post like them so to habe merits.

In conclusion, bitcointalk a good forum
It is hard for me to earn merit now, but I know I just have to contribute qualitatively before earning merits, and I will try my best towards that.

Yeah the merit system was brought in to make bitcointalk cleaner. You can't rank up to Jr member until you've been here for a few weeks anyway so you may as well just spend this time getting involved in what you want to discuss and what you came here for if you can find stuff that interests you.

It might take some time but your first merit is often a bit of a springboard to earning more - so don't try to focus on getting one just post what you feel contributes to discussion...

Welcome to bitcointalk. Merits, earning and ranks are important, but the most important thing here on the forum is Bitcoin. That's the main reason for the creation of this forum and that learning more about it should be the reason anyone joins here, every other thing is an added perk.

You are right, the first thing to come to mind is to contribute, I even said it above that 'the forum to earn but quality contributions are prerequisites'. And I said that is why I like the forum, nothing good comes easily.

This forum is created to educate people all about crypto so the foundation is really good. Unlike other forums which have the main goal of generating income. There are tons and tons of knowledge in this forum alone that a crypto user can use for himself in his quest to better himself when it comes to crypto knowledge. The admin is also continuously finding ways how to improve this forum like this merit requirement to engage users to create or post quality topics.

Very well said, this merit system makes this forum unique, it is no another forum that we can easily earn money. We should work hard with this so we can earn more money in the future, the higher the rank then the higher the money that you can have, but do not focus first on earning money, you should prioritize first on how are you going to gain more knowledge about cryptocurrency. That is the main purpose and goal of this forum, we ate all here to exchange and share information we have so we can help others as well.

The money that we can get here is just a bonus for our hard work for so many years. Ranking up isn't really easy, you should spend more time and knowledge so you could rank up as well.

In my opinion,  if you can contribute something to the forum or help other members with some important into,  you will get merits.
There is no specific rule how to earn merits so there is no meaning to talk much about it.
Just be yourself and don't talk much about it 😀
I understand that most new members here are attracted with earning potential and they are desperate to get merits and rank up because of signature campaigns.
Still,  there is no shortcut here or more easy way to achieve result,  only hard work and effort.

Merit system is only prevented the endless creation of new accounts which could then advance in the ranks only on the basis of activity. That’s the key thing about that system, but there’s no way we can say we got rid of spammers and shitposters. In general, a very small percentage of those who managed to rank high (Hero & Legendary), after the merit system was introduced it also tells us more than clearly that the vast majority did not live up to the challenge.

I may not be a great poster, but I try to be as good as possible - yet in 2+ years I failed to become a self-made Legendary member. You also need to know that merits are not only given to quality post/s which is a common misconception especially for beginners. Merits are shared for fun, sarcastic, sometimes vulgar posts and are not moderated (which means you can do with them whatever you want). Everything will be much clearer to you if you stay on the forum and become an active member

Part of Bitcointalk being a great forum is the simplicity of the theme and the many topics and categories, you will always have a new interest that you are going to discover, the local board, meta and this section is the best way to start and it's like a domino effect, once you see people posting great information, you are likely to be like them sharing great information for the community.

This forum is run by members who continue to make great contributions with various information which is always updated and never dies. I'm even always excited to see a variety of quality and educative posts. Much will be discussed in this forum, not limited to bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I have now prettily understood this, it is very  important to have alluring communication skills, I have seen many members will good communication skills receiving merits and ranking up, but it is also included with their hard work especially the newbies, members and full members. All these qualities are know while staying longer and understand more about this forum.

That's the reason why there are a lot of people who is good at on this forum because they learn a lot of the gs and sharing their ideas too. Merit is one of the best things that the forum have because this filtered out the quality of the members, but before we have the merits airdrop it's the start of the merit implemented. Those merit airdrops are given to the member depends on their activity count but right now if you are just a newbie and want to join into our forum merit matters because this will reflect the number of contribution and quality contents of the member as you can see there are a lot of members right now is having to struggle with their accounts because they cannot make a rank up immediately because of the merits requirement having the rank of Newbie up to Jr Member it's quite easily but if you want to reach up to member rank it's quite hard and if you want to rank up more this is the start of your long journey to the forum.

Every member of this forum has a different skills on writing a constructive post which is a good thing they are in unique on their post some of them are approachable some of them are strict but the most important at the end of the statement is they have the objective to give the idea.

You are already doing well having over 39 merits so far I was a dummy back then, was more into social media bounty Campaign and in turn just increasing my post and activities with Bounty thread reports which wasn't cool and still working on getting ride of them.
