Before actually teaching them about Bitcoin, we must at least teach them on where did it came from and not just Bitcoin. Bitcoin is to broad to be a topic because we are only using Bitcoin as a basis (for some) cryptocurrency. Learning about Bitcoin would really take a lot of time and we must be ready to be asked a lot of questions pertaining on how does the Cryptocurrency Industry work. It would be really good to teach them to students who are around in the field of Computer Science.

So, I came up with these;
2. What it is used for
Many of us are still not that good at using bitcoin and manipulating it in the market. Many of us are still not that knowledgeable on how to use bitcoin in transactions properly. Especially those newbies and including those btc holders who are doing it the wrong way. This is a good idea especially if you are willing to learn more about the importance of bitcoin 3. Introduction to a forum dedicated for discussion of Bitcoins named Bitcointalk Forum
This forum will really help you to understand things with different opinions and point of views towards a certain topic. I really learned a lot just by contributing to share my opinion here about bitcoin and some people are answering my questions. When you want to learn something about bitcoin then this is a good place to start a discussion.

Aside from the given pointer, you shouldn't have missed trading. trading platforms and exchanges. Also, it will help if you mention the term Cryptocurrency and the difference between Bitcoin and altcoins since the industry is not composed of Bitcoin alone, people will stumble on altcoins once they explore Bitcoin so I guess it would be a good move if you will somehow mention these stuff. Something like general introduction on Cryptocurrency and focus detailed on Bitcoin.

I think the first thing you should tell them about the risks that may be encountered in the cryptocurrency market. Most newcomers on the market want to make money quickly and easily fall into a scam, so it is important to warn them from the start. 1. General introduction to Bitcoin
I would also love to know how you will introduce Bitcoin

I wonder what subject originally are you teaching? Economics? Or info tech-related subject? On the other hand, I admire teacher like you. Aside from incorporating how bitcoin works in differeny aspects, you are also contributing to make the adoption and awareness more certainly be acquired by your students. Explaining also blockchain is significant though it's a bit difficult on how to explain it but the more they understand the proccess, the more they will get interested about it.

6. Last week would be used for quizzes and setting up Bitcoin accounts and prizes would be won for serious students among them.
it is good to know about bitcoin TestNet in this step since many may not want to or not have extra money to buy bitcoin with. TestNet coins are free since they have no value and the good wallets support TestNet which anyone can use (like electrum). that way they don't risk anything while freely learning about how to truly use bitcoin with their desktop wallets. here is a topic with more information: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215716.0Nice Idea @Josefjix, you can reach out to me as well via bitcointalk PM to send you some " tBTC" for you to be able to conduct an experiment and to give them an idea how bitcoin transaction works under the hood.

From the topic outlines, I'm really glad you've included our bitcoin forum. It's basically a complete package more than a whole module if they will also visit and try t learn here.
Well, It's a good initiative OP that we are engaging students to learn about blockchain and bitcoin. You might also include various security lessons such as keeping your private keys, explain different wallets, and its advantage and disadvantages.

Your criticism is a welcome one too. There is no need for criticism here because all you are doing is in favor of the Community and Bitcoin world so what i wanna say is continue and focus on what you have started. Just don't mind those critics because majority of them Knows nothing about what they are saying an just posting to count in their weekly obligation. and also please be aware that only a few will follow and listen to you at first so better be aware of that, never be frustrated and never be surrendering. This place needs more of you so keep it up.

Not only students in the field of Computer Science. Other fields such as economics also become important fields to know about Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is related to the Digital economy which is currently popular. Learning about bitcoin from the start of understanding and history of bitcoin will provide good education. Bitcoin is not just an asset that gives money to its holders, but has unique technology that is not owned by other currencies.

A very good idea by teaching bitcoin to college students, this is something that must be done from now on. This will make bitcoin more popular and hopefully there will be mass adoption, and in my opinion began to explain with the following material
1. What is Bitcoin 2. The advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin 3. How to get Bitcoin 4. Where to store and sell Bitcoin 5. Legality of Bitcoin
The five points above must be explained to college students, so they really understand about Bitcoin.

So, I made a post about me teaching college students about Bitcoin and it's usage. I asked for few things that would make up my lesson plans here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259038.msg54708539#msg54708539 The positive replies I got was enough for me. So, I came up with these; 1. General introduction to Bitcoin 2. What it is used for 3. Introduction to a forum dedicated for discussion of Bitcoins named Bitcointalk Forum 4. Mining 5. Digital skills 6. Last week would be used for quizzes and setting up Bitcoin accounts and prizes would be won for serious students among them. Your criticism is a welcome one too. These are all the basics which is really worthy for you to start on when you are tending to teach up on zero-knowledge students about Bitcoin. They would able to grasp it easily since this generation is already aware in most techy thing around so that wont really be a problem. As mentioned earlier it would really be good to teach out on how to avoid scams and frauds that do exist into this market. Also, teach them that bitcoin isnt really only solely for making money but rather into its true usage when it comes to digital payment system.

I'm not quite sure what subject you thought and why you were able to insert bitcoin of your topics since there is a course syllabus as guide for college students and a module or curriculum guide for primary and secondary students. I am amaze of you having so much time that you can insert bitcoin as we all know that it could take so much time in teaching bitcoin because of its technical aspect.
So how could you also discussed and explain if found out from your dean or principal that your topics being thought is not relevant to the course curriculum guide or syllabus? Bitcoin is not yet being approved to all generally as it could be helpful to the community even if we can say that btc would be cashless. Banks had also made some cashless transactions to which will not be requiring to use the btc.
BTC could be risky also for your students knowing that they are new and will be throwing their money away unless you teach them about bounty hunting. However bounty hunting could only earn cents.
But if you really want to teach them then make them aware of what btc is all about and then let them focus on products and services that they could use in order to earn btc and just by buying it.

You should also point out why is it a superior technology then Fiat, stocks and Gold and how it would change/fix the flawed system of our current monetary system. The above workflow is all good to me, i wish more teachers like you starts introducing it to more youths for them to know how evil the banking system is. May i ask, where do you teach ?

I admired your plan but first you need to keep yourself and the students save by applying the right good social hygiene. With that been said, i would like to advise you to re arrange the lesson in this form 1. General introduction to Bitcoin 2. What it is used for 3. Wallet 4. Exchange site 5. Introduction to a forum dedicated for discussion of Bitcoins named Bitcointalk Forum 6. Mining 7. Digital skills 8. Last week would be used for quizzes and setting up Bitcoin accounts and prizes would be won for serious students among them.
so that some of the student wont focus much on joining bounty campaign rather focusing on the lesson.

Nice, can I ask on what course subject will you teach that to your students? I guess it'll fit on Data communications or Computer programming, you should include Blockchain after the introduction of Bitcoin so they can fully understand it's capabilities when you tackled topic no. 2. The further discussions should be the last one and change the topic no. 3 as different kinds of wallets in BTC. 1.
Same order but It should also discuss the market, so they can understand how volatile the bitcoin is.

Indeed, the challenge here is how to keep the audience interest up at all times. So OP must think of a very entertaining approach that will keep his listener's attention on the subject without the use of overhyped messages or get rich quick method. We all know that finance gains make the audience interested but it will be devastating to the pockets of the listeners.

Sure, they will definitely ask. I can actually tell them a lot. I'm still gathering more information. If this question was thrown at you as a teacher how would you answer it?
Man, I was asking you. You sure did pull out the reverse uno card huh? As you're the one that's actually going present, not me. Anyway, I'd put emphasis on: 1. Disadvantages of the current fiat system in general 2. Advantages of Bitcoin being decentralized and it giving people self-sovereignty 3. Advantages of Bitcoin's scarcity 4. The risks of self custody And finally, while I'm not doubting you because I don't know how much knowledge you have, but actually make sure you know what you're talking about before doing a presentation. False or misleading information can be dangerous. Best of luck. This is a good one, you have to make them understand the difference between fiat and btc. Be honest and let them know the risk too. I think you should have a different chapter about scams in crypto, so they should be aware about it as a beginner. You should be responsible in introducing them about btc, because if you teach btc without the risk, some of them may really believe that its an easy place to earn money, they will see it not as a currency but only a place for money. Then they will become just like those beginners who quickly jump right away without even knowing its risk.

"2.What it is used for." is kinda pointless, because Bitcoin is a currency,so it's common sense that Bitcoin could be used for purchasing goods and services and as a store of value. You should definitely include a lesson about the blockchain and a lesson about the Bitcoin Hardforks/Softforks. Your students shouldn't get confused that there are a few versions of Bitcoin that aren't Bitcoin Core. Anyway, the rest of the lesson plan looks fine and great job for teaching other people about Bitcoin,OP.

There should also be a advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin, although it may already be included to your lesson plan, the risks it have like scams and ponzi, how to distinguish one, the red flags and how to avoid falling for those scams.

Don't forget to teach them the risks involve in going into BTC trading, mining and other things related. And as well bring them to the understanding of how this risks and the fear of not achieving anything after dedicated work can be resolved. How to prevent the risk will be necessary to be one lesson because not all people know how to do that. Many of us are getting stuck in the higher price without we can sell the bitcoin because the price is down too deep. If they want to try to trade, you need to besides them, and you can tell what step by step to starting trading is. As a beginner, they need to teach by you because they don't have much knowledge about crypto, trading, and investment, so you need to explain the details to them.
