As updated at the top of the thread:

New branding completed, new logo, new font, new high-value coin design, exchange symbol;
many thanks to Ckybe for all his help.

Entirely new look, easily readable multithread-linked announcement under construction to encourage new participants, to be released with rollover to 0.9.1 in the next 10 days (+new branded wallets (both mac and win)), also end of mining date to be announced, some 3 months away, along with the rest of the development timeline and distribution plans.

At our final technological update we will be more stable and more energy efficient than existing PoS coins, and very probably the most energy efficient coin in existence. These are the primary objectives the development team is focussed on.

Great progress and the new developments sound very interesting.

Difficulty is very low at the moment, get some while you still can!!   Wink

Good job axismundi and others who have worked hard to get this coin back on track. I personally think it has a lot of potential.

I also like trees

Whats going on with this coin?  Things have been really quite lately.  Carboncoin has huge potential, and a good looking new logo.  I would like to see it take off!

Please see our development timeline https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=628536 which I put up today. Already I see I have one or two queries to address tomorrow.

I will be keeping that thread up to date with how far along we are in achieving our objectives, and also will be starting a few other threads in due course to de-clutter our front page.

Best

Thank you and well spotted, they were always very hard work getting in touch with and unwilling to improve this, so perhaps for the best. Will amend threads. Miningpool.co and carb.crunchharder.net both very well developed operations, in addition to our basshash pool.

More development and distribution news coming soon

By popular request I have created two new secure carboncoin donations wallets:

One for helping to fund services/development/bounties:

LHFVyEEG7sHf9Vkn2YCFbiK7mf4FYSETGz

From here we will be offering bounties for assistance with our source updates on github, android wallet and the new website which is under construction.

and another for funding our real world distribution campaign

L3bMcFGLRmSSoZeeBm8PnaVkPCuHngXdWW

not publicising this strategy yet but anyone who is looking to donate please feel free to contact me, I will be happy to let you in on it ahead of time

These are in addition to our environmental wallet which has over 90M coins in it, very well done to all involved and if you haven't already please be generous! I will be creating a donations thread on this forum with leaderboards for each wallet presently.

Thank you in advance for your kind contributions

might as well donate since you will have to wait so long to sell it even at 1 satoshi. 24 hr trade vol appears to be 0.  I think that means it is dead

Interesting. I'll be watching CarbonCoin for more updates, the price is kind of low right now though - you need to get something going so that the coin doesn't end up dead.

BA Computer Science, University of Oxford
Dissertation was about threat modelling on distributed ledgers.

Lots of stuff happening as soon as we have the 0.9.1 client out w/ mac wallet carrying the new branding. New website on way. Big marketing push possible as soon as that happens. Anyone with a mining rig, suggest you get yourself a few million and sit on them, anyone without - the price is LOW as the man said.
