Because they're blinded by greed so fell for that kind of scam and it can still exist. Double your money? Come on this is the year 2020 already. Really ever underestimate people's stupidity.

Greed will be the biggest problem that we must prevent. We already see many examples of greed and not just happening in the crypto, but it's also happening in real life. We never learn that enough is enough. There is no free lunch that will come to us by itself. We need to get it by doing something, and if we don't want to struggle like other people, then we do not deserve to get the reward in our life. Be careful of the doubling scheme and fake giveaways because that is too good to be true.

Yep i feel bad for those people who lost their money because of this giveaway trick. Also, i dont know why they believe on that. I mean its obviously a scam why people still get trapped. Its 2020 i though people way more smarter.

Crypto community is starting to be educated but still some of these people particularly newbies can't get rid enough from scammers. They are still lured by those giveaways and too good to be true offers and these scammers are actually using legitimate accounts so that newbies will easily believed on them.

Again, as I have said in my previous posts, it really looks believable in the eye because it came from an official twitter account. No way that you will find out that it was a scam people pulled off by bad actors. But of course, we really felt bad for them, that is still money that they have lost. And we are still in the pandemic and every money counts. So if you lost that to the scammers, then it's a double whammy for you. Hope that this will be the last time that we are going to hear people falling for this kind of trick.

Indeed. Some giveaways are too good to be true that results in people getting trick and scam at the same time. Since a lot of people need a source of income and money, it is straightforward for scammers to fool this kind of people, and we can't blame them by that because people who get victimized by this fake giveaways still don't do proper research and check the post or site if it is legit.

It has nothing to do with this market, the problem is that twitter is hacked and I believe they have lost a lot of user trust. I think that after this event more people will know this market

I am also surprised that from the tweets that the hackers shared were very strange and these tweets have often been encountered on scam sites and to my surprise that there are still many who are trapped without finding out more. Bitcoin value obtained by hackers is not small. Maybe it's because the tweets of the verified account slightly increase the victim's confidence, still it's very strange. From what I've learned why many people are still deceived in various cases because they are not vigilant and often believe in someone.

It should be twitter's issue and not bitcoin or crypto in particular, those hacked account that being compromised and the numbers of people who
got lured by those scammers who used legit twitter accounts to scam. This incidents should focus more with twitter and not with crypto. Holders
and investors should think wise not to be moved and let this things past to avoid losing money.

You shouldn't be surprised mate,

You should realize by now that even if there are so many reminders and instructions for newbies regarding doubler and schemes, they won't still listen as it is common for newbies to choose for the easiest way yet risky enough to lose their money.

This is for all those who thought that newbies are learning about scam schemes here is a shocking revealing story for you... Hours back Twitter accounts of big crypto influencers and exchanges were hacked and I've read few posts on this forum that not many would fall for it but guess what? You are damn wrong, scammers cater away with over 100,000$ worth of Bitcoin.

Honestly people aren't learning anything, I am so disappointed in the way people think nowadays, believing they can actually double their bitcoin, as a newbie, the moment I saw the giveaway on binance official Twitter account I knew it was a hack
But when you see the post which says I will give you money from someone who is one of the richest person in this pandemic situation then many newbies who don't have scam experience yet will believe it for sure. That is why they are using the verified accounts of most richest person not only the crypto related accounts.

That's right, the problem lies with twitter. They didn't have enough security and it caused the accounts to be hacked, completely unrelated to the cryptocurrency market

I dont know why more and more people are still a victim of an old ponzi scheme. Since i started on crypto bitcoin doubler is the easiest way to to double your money but also the easiest way for them to steal your money. I nearly bought a script and run a doubler but i dont want to.

You cant say that when you are in their position maybe their mind set already for sending their coin, cause you can see that the one posted are those big names in the industry and some are recognizable around the world. Its make your confidence boosted knowing the one whose giving are legit people. But the process is suspicious thats why other are curious if its true or not. Good for you cause you already assume it was a hacked.

I have not seen it personnaly but I heard and saw it from the an article that binance and other known personalities were hack and I never knew that there was a scheme or something malicious attacked to occured to scam other people. We'll you cannot blame those people who have following those personalities to have it try since it was a legit twitter page of binance of example. Not most of the people don't have any knowledge with that kind of scheme so you can't really take it on them.

People are smart enough to buy btc and the same time dumb enough to believe in scams like this. Mad world
Yeah, I just don't get it how a person holding bitcoin, know the basics of sending a transaction could fall for scams like this.
It looks like they were buying it after the scammer has already published a new announcement about that. I should remind you guys about there are so many followers and it's not closing the possibility there was a few percents were belive if that was a legit announcement.

Nah, they're just greedy and try to convince themselves that's a legit announcement. Doubling scheme is never legit or to be a real deal. Even a baller guy never do that kind of thing, he would just do the airdrop and throwing money around freely.

Normally people who still get scammed from fake getaways are new to the crypto industry. People who still believe that money is easy to get in crypto not even researching about the legitimacy of the promotion or the identity of the people or group running it.

Newbies are likely to get exposed in scams first before they realised how Bitcoin and cryptocurrency works.

The recent hacked of high profile twitter accounts is a free marketing for Bitcoin, but its unfortunate that some people still  fall victims to scam. It just prove that not all crypto social influencers followers are aware of these scams and neglect to do their research.

Since there is no manual for crypto invest some people will still lose money to scam giveaways, to invest in crypto you need to find answers about what's safe and what's not safe, there are good and bad paths and learning is the only thing that can guide you through
