I think your topic heading is very wrong, saying never invest in cryptocurrencies" is misleading, investment have risk and you should be able to understand the risk and be ready for whatever the outcome, individual perception differs, those who think they will get fast money here will soon learn fast if care is not taken, crypto is not a get rich quick, patient is very important in crypto.

Well, you can never blame other people for viewing it that way. Some people were introduced to Cryptocurrency that way and the way to change that is for them to be introduced to new knowledge. Gaining knowledge about Cryptocurrency is the only way to be profitable since people would utilize their knowledge on how to gain more Cryptocurrencies. Crowdfunding is a bit hard since not everybody would take some time to consider them as a way to gain Crypto.

yes, this is exactly what makes many afraid and looking differently to investing in cryptocurrencies.

in general if you invest in a company it is mostly stable, and going slightly up by time if it is a good one and sometimes slightly down, more often it is going up and most of its jumps going up, rarely going down as in a crisis like a pandemic, but this is happening so rarely, and also many other business grow and even blow up as zoom app and many others.

but in crypto, specially coins with no specific purpose or service it is much harder to predict why it goes up or down and it is almost randomly changing between very high and very low.

i would recommend investing in altcoins connecting to trusted services as assets in the company, not in crypto in general even in BTC specially if you are a new investor with limited resources, you should always go for more safer shelter with spending part of your money of course.

That is right cryptocurrency is our future money and this technology is so new for the people. But To be afraid of investing is needed, but l think It must be a little, not so huge. If we don't want to lose our money by investing in any crypto, we must make good research before investing in any project. To make research about project which you invest in is so important. More than that we can make good choices, l mean there are a lot of projects and most of them are useless, we must try focusing on legit projects.

If you are afraid of the volatility better go for the spot Forex pairs which will give what you want from the market. Markets can stay irrational more than you think rationally.

Yes, most new users naturally think that crypto can make rich overnight, but in reality crypto cannot make you rich quickly. all need a process and even investing also takes a long time or not as fast as you expect. but I still believe that crypto is always unexpected, if you want to invest safely it's better to invest only with top coins, especially BTC.

You're probably right. I think the core of the problem is - cryptocurrency is just another way of storing value and making transactions, so... currency.
And as any other currency it has its own fluctuations of a price and that's healthy - its just a matter of demand and supply.
But people treat crypto like its casino or sport bets and that is not the case (both of these actually won't lead you to easy money, but thats whole another story).
So in my opinion main goal of crypto community at the moment should be educating everyone around about what is actually happening

some cryptocurrencies are made to receive funding for their projects, not all crypto is just for trading.

this part of crypto is interesting to investors less than coins made just for trading, because coins of trading can go very high or low for no reason (if someone buys a big bite of the market or sells it) cryptos made to support/fund projects have more stable steps but many shuts down in early stages because they don't get enough funding to continue

it all depends on one's principles and the bad thing is most investors are crazy about "getting rich quick" but don't understand what is in the crypto industry. What you are describing is indeed a healthy investment, but in investment we must emphasize that we make a profit. Your picture with the example of a donation is the same as giving your money without a return sign. An investment is an investment in which an investor must get what they are trying to invest so if you lose you get a loss, and if you profit you get a profit.

Most people who hear about Crypto for the first time are very excited about getting rich in a short time, but after a while they get disappointed. It's not easy to get rich with crypto. Of course there are some people who got rich through Crypto but that happened either by chance (an unexpected rise in the price of bitcoin for example) or that he invested a large amount of money and got great profits.

Investing on cryptocurrencies are not financial advice and only for risk takers that has sense of patience hence it's not a quick money after all, more likely a long-term investments. yes some lack knowledge and some are greedy but that is how it is going in every other invenstment opportunity, there is always a greedy or with low experience and just heared about a trend and wants to ride the waves.

sooner or later if he gets even rich by luck if he doesn't stop this approch he will end up with the same low assets and maybe even without the low assests he started with.
