Do you consider to enable proper embedding of youtube links so users can watch videos right on the forum without opening a separate tab?

I gotta agree with suchmoon and Jet Cash here.

Apart from the privacy implications I don't see this working out for Bitcointalk.

During bull markets this forum gets bad enough as is, I don't want to imagine how it would look like if all the crypto-youtubers get incentivized to post here as well. Embedding YouTube videos might be great for forums where people just share videos for fun, but on Bitcointalk this fun quickly devolves into greed, misinformation and scams when given the chance.

Judging from this reply, that feature was deliberately disabled on the forum, so it's highly unlikely the admins would restore it. There are security/privacy implications as well as threads easily getting clogged.

Opening a separate tab is not much trouble and anyone interested in your content would look it up.

Well, if we are just talking about the sake of upgrading then I guess that's not bad at all. It was really a cool upgrade IMO. However, like the others said, it was not necessary since putting a url here works fine already . And I'm also concern for its harmful effects, it surely makes our forum look messier not yet mentioning the large amount of time which can be wasted becuause of clickbaits.

Let's follow Twentyonepaylots — just upgrade your internet to avoid any problem lol.

Please don't add any mods. This forum code has improved to prevent hacking, and the forum has paid a high price for it. Mods will only create new loopholes for hackers to break in. Bitcointalk forum user data is more precious than any company in the world.

If you're going to watch videos, movies, etc. then go to Youtube, Netflix, whoever they are but you're here in a forum mate, try to live with the norm. Just a right click on your mouse then hit a new tab, it's that easy.

I see a lot of talk about how it would be a security risk. Never mind that, it would be an annoyance risk! Do you know how much power it would be to allow people to not only post gifs, but now suddenly videos with audio?! Fuck all that noise.
