Received mine today - Frank included a small guide to his products, some postcards and stickers and a personalized note. He has always take. The time to write me a short note with each order. Small personal things like that are great!

Thanks FrankAlpenCoin!

Mopar, Thanks for your feedback... the small guides are jabid's work. he told me that he has an idea for a new book. His "mini-guide des bitcoins physiques" could  be a premise. I Hope that he is working on it.

No idea if the shop in Neuchâtel has any coins left.

Still some bars unfunded. Please contact me if yours isn't loaded.

Have a nice day.

I thought I'd post this image of my new prototype. It's an automatic Swiss watch, with a Swiss movement.

I'm trying to get the key engraved on the oscillating weight and covered with a special hologram. It would be protected by the waterproof case (10ATM / 100 meters). A bit like Kialara.

This prototype has taken me months to design and produce. I'll let you know if I manage to get the key engraved on the movement, and if the movement still works.   Wink

I also had a variant with the public key on the dial.

I don't want to sell the watch, just share the idea.

Bitcoin is time.

I like it - would want one to add to the rest of my Alpen's - if you ever do sell them.

I really like the watch. Great work.

One of the things that popped into my mind is that it would be really cool to have Block time there, either instead or along the "normal" time.

It would need to be connected to the internet though, either directly or indirectly, for example with a Bluetooth connection that syncs with your phone or laptop, or an NFC connection where you need to tap your phone to update.

Thinking about it, it might be a bit too much hassle to add the block time, but it would be so cool to see it on your watch.

Thanks for your comments.

I agree, it would be incredible.

"Bitcoin is time" is a great article by "der Gigi" https://dergigi.com/2021/01/14/bitcoin-is-time/

I see some similarities between btc  and a mechanical watch: Energy, time, proof of work,... can't write an essay.

Amy plans to make a series for the public Smiley

I can ask the watchmaker, but it would be a bit expensive more than 1'000 CHF.

I am still not sure if it's smart to put the priv key in the movement. makes sense for waterproofing, ... My first idea was to put only the Bitcoin address on the dial.  But need more tests with the qr code, so that it is readable. and not sure about generating priv key and then engraving it.

Can I pay you by sending some money with snail post?

Send it. you get it.  Grin

Thanks for your inputs...
