Marseille is taking their squad seriously in this season.

They have Greenwood, Rabiot, Paixao, Aubameyang, O'Riley, and Traore, now they sign Pavard. It's make sense they want to sign another quality defender because they often conceded, regardless the result is they win or lose.

Since they're qualified for Champions League, this also a reason why the top players want to play for Marseille.

This season, Marseille spent at least €79.70 million to sign at least 11 paid players, excluding free transfers, both those signed with transfer fees and those only on loan. Marseille's most successful arrival in this transfer window was Igor Paixão, a left winger from Feyenoord, with a transfer fee of €30.00 million, while the other players were just mid-range. However, they should have made Marseille even more powerful. Unfortunately, in these three matches, they only managed one win and lost the rest.

After seeing Marseille's summer signing list, I thought they'll give French defending champions Paris Saint Germaine a good run for their money but from what I've seen so far, it's obvious they'll not be able to do much when it comes to challenging for the French Ligue 1 this season.
If after all the major signings Marseille made this summer and still can't compete against PSG, who then will challenge the reigning champions? R is this going to be another easily predictable campaign in the French league where we all already know the champion from the day the league kicked off?

PSG made a lot of efforts to achieve all they achieved last season their players were willing to win against any opponent they play against despite getting down bad results they were still motivated to keep going and at some point everything looked like it changed for the team the coach got the right formation and tactics the players became so zealous to win matches and the good results started coming that was how they were able to start bad but ended up as the best team last season.

Agree. There is no gainsay that PSG players have worked hard. PSG's squad did not have many experienced players. And none of us imagined that we would see such a great dominance on the Champions league platform as PSG. Luis Enrique's match strategy was excellent. He was able to increase the bonding between the players. At the same time, if psg players were not hardworking, it would not have been possible to secure every title. If the players are confident and can give full effort this season , then the fans' expectations from PSG will be much higher this season too.

Luiz Enrique has made significant changes to the Parisian squad. Not only has he been able to create balance within the team and improve teamwork, but he has also been able to take this squad to a higher level. And no one will ever forget how Luiz Enrique led PSG to their first Champions League title, especially when considering their journey that season, where PSG initially had a very slim chance in the group stage and nearly failed to qualify for the round of 16. However, Enrique quickly made changes to his squad, which instantly became the strongest and had a great chance of winning the Champions League. This season may be a little different, as the opponents they will face will be even stronger, including the teams they defeated last season.

That's why, despite their relatively impressive signings compared to other Ligue 1 clubs, the start of this season has been less than satisfactory. De Zerbi needs to find a way to improve their performance, at least to match last season. He usually uses a 4-2-3-1 formation. Then, against Rennes, he tried a 3-2-4-1 formation and it failed miserably. So, de Zerbi switched back to a 4-2-3-1 formation in the next match. It worked for a while, but ultimately, they were unlucky to receive a red card and lose.

Meanwhile, Marseille have Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United player whose performance has been quite promising, and the same is true now. It's a bad that the entire squad can't improve even more. While Greenwood has score 1 goal and made 2 assists.

League 1 is not as competitive as the other leagues because they don't have teams that can compete against PSG, PSG has always been the best team in the league by winning the title every season even without having a good season in the Champions League, seeing Lyon winning their first three games did not surprise me because they will later be fighting for too four before the season ends, they were able to defeat Marseille in their last match and they did a good job.

I think the reason PSG is the only team that wins the title every season is because they have more money than other teams in the league. I have never seen other teams sign any best players in their team, which leads me to believe that League 1 is similar to La Liga in that small teams cannot sign and register big players due to their salary cap.

That was precisely last season, Olympique Marseille seemed like the team that could challenge PSG for the ligue 1 title, they had some wonderful players in their squad and they did wonderfully well in the First half of that particular season which made them one of the favourites to lift the trophy but at the long run everything went bad when they started losing important games week after week, and numerous draws thereby giving PSG the opportunity to continue to dominate the league as usual, the rest is history.

Last season Olympique Marseille did started off so brilliantly that I was amongst the  persons who taught for once PSG may likely not win the Ligue 1 title last season because Marseille was pretty much ready to challenge them enough to distort their chances but it got surprising how Marseille did not finish at the second position.  Let us see what they have got for this season.

Besides PSG, Lyon has been playing consistently so far, with three wins in three matches, all with nine points. The only difference is the number of goals scored. The most interesting was their last match against Marseille; this was no easy feat for either side. However, Lyon had a higher advantage due to Marseille's red card in the 29th minute. Goalkeeper Matthieu Patouillet of the French league club is now seeking a transfer to another club as a result this team may lack experience but it is still expected that this team will be able to recruit the best goalkeeper through their best efforts. On the other hand maybe everyone can see that Rachid Ghezzal who came through the ranks in this team, has rejoined this club but while the Algerian player has joined the team as a free agent, it is true that the winger has good intelligence and that he will probably take the Lion Club forward with his experience.

Honestly I believe Greenwood's level is over Marseille. He deserves to be signed by a bigger team in the near future. And he can too considering he is only 23 years old now.

Honestly I believe Greenwood's level is over Marseille. He deserves to be signed by a bigger team in the near future. And he can too considering he is only 23 years old now.

At the time, Greenwood was only 23 years old and still very productive. He could play as a right winger, as well as a center-forward or second striker.

You're right, he was even more productive last season, scoring 21 goals and providing six assists in Ligue 1. Before joining Manchester United, Greenwood was also a highly accomplished player from the Manchester United academy. Unfortunately, his performance at Manchester United, like many other top players, wasn't optimal.

But at some point loosing a few games made them lost their chances to PSG but this season I do not know if they will be able  to maintain more consistency.  This season  and be able  to do better possibly ahead of PSG this season but if they must, it will require  a lot of work because  they are not of equal strength with PSG at all and they do not have same team strength or quality.

6 weeks is a long time. But I have no doubt that PSG can perform well in Ligue 1 without Dembele. Winning  the Ligue 1 title is not too hard for PSG. PSG has the ability to continue winning in Ligue 1 without Dembele.

But I am worried about the champions league matches. It is almost definite that dembele will miss the two matches against Atalanta and Barcelona. Both opponents are very strong. Winning this match  without Dembele will be a big challenge for psg . PSG badly needs Dembele in the Champions League matches.

PSG vs Lens, Rennes vs Lyon.

There are no matches scheduled this weekend, but I think it's quite interesting to discuss the two matches that will begin next week. Lyon has shown consistent, steady improvement and is full of confidence. Against Rennes, it shouldn't be a difficult match for Lyon.

Meanwhile, PSG will face Lens, which might be a bit more challenging. Lens could draw the match without scoring a big goal. But I still hope PSG at least wins. If not, Lyon can still have a great chance of winning the title.

Lens is not considered a very strong opponent. Although Lens has won the last two matches. Whatever , we have seen Lens win against weak opponents like Le Havre and Brest. Marseille last season had a record of 9 losses. However, this season, after three matches, Marseille has already incurred two losses. I'm not quite sure they will be better this season, but they still have time to improve and strengthen their performance in the upcoming matches. They need to avoid losses and maximize their winning points.
I do not expect the competition in Ligue 1 to be very tight, but at least the top positions in the standings will still be contested by several teams.

Is this how the French League will be forever. Only PSG will continue winning the title till the end of time. Ligue 1 clubs need to wake up and look for how to fund the club. Any club that finishes on second possition is always given a reward for their efforts or is it a very tangible amount of money that cannot make any difference on the club financial strength in order for them to sort for good players there in France or in Europe.

Yes they will keep dominating the league and for this season they are still the favourite to win the league, the information about the injury of Dembele came in yesterday in his international duties for his country France but without his presence in the team I think PSG won't find it difficult to win league games but in the Champions League match against Barcelona it's going to affect PSG if Dembele does not return from injury to play the game.

That's one annoying thing about this French Ligue 1 and Paris Saint-Germain,  I can’t just comprehend why the league is just being dominated by PSG, whereas there are other viable teams that can compete with them, overtime, the league is becoming so bored to watch because of this reason. I doubt it's because this other teams can't buy players, but I think they just don't want to spend money, forgetting that for them to get the result, they must invest in the team by bringing in players capable of  helping them win trophies.

This is bad news for PSG, as they will have three tough matches in their next six Ligue 1 matches:

- Lens

- Olympique

- Lille

Lens isn't a very strong team, but they're coming off two wins, so this could be a warning sign for PSG, as they could draw and lose points in that match. Olympique isn't having a good start to the season; they've only won one of their three matches, but they could still cause problems for PSG. Lastly, and most problematic, Lille is having a good start to the season, and even last season they were and continue to be very strong at home. Although historically, PSG has beaten Lille at home with relative ease, I still think PSG should play seriously.

From the three matches Olympique Marseille played this season, it's obvious that Olympique Marseille doesn't have a good squad depth and they can't compete with PSG for the French ligue 1 title because PSG squad is far better than Olympique Marseille squad. Olympique Marseille should just focus how they can make it to the top four because that could be achievable for Olympique Marseille this season.
