They probably couldn’t develop the products or just plain scam thats why most of them stop. There are a lot of projects from the past who failed, it is the consequence of an unregulated industry. Investors has no protection and criminals can easily go away with the money. Everyday a lot of fake projects emerge and its hard to evaluate them if they are real or not so we need to be 10x careful.

In my view covid-19 isn't a big reason for the stopping of any project due to the lack of funding.
Funding is not a problem here, investors will have money to invest the projects they want so the certain projects have money to continue their development. Rather than, due to covid 19 the team development itself have so many excuses to delay the development plan, it ruins the hype to investors and community itself.

In a short while that I have been in cryptocurrency I have seen so many crypto project and fantastic budget and planned you see that some of them still left the project unfinished some even do stop the crypto project without any pre_information about the sudden change of plans concerning the particular project so what do you think about the crypto project that have been suspended half way , what do you think that should be done for this kind of the attitude of crypto developer's concerning crypto project abandoned project.
In fact, this has been happening so often, you may be overwhelmed by this kind of job. We participate in bounty campaigns that we give them trust, they want to scam or want to pay us is another thing. so newbie needs to learn a lot about project analysis in order not to participate in scam projects. Obviously we won't be able to punish them because they are anonymous. so we should hone more knowledge and flag up scam campaigns to minimize the risk for the bounty hunters.

The simple reason is, they have gotten what they want and that's it, whatever be the reason, this is the only fact I see that will warrant developers doing such things over and over again. They have gotten what they want in the sense that they have gotten the amount of money they want thus no need continuing the project than to exit scam or come up with whatever reason why they need to shut down. Some of these projects makes millions but yet can't come up with any tangible thing, hence excuses here and there, and then shut down the project. This behaviour has been happening over time and although it is hard knowing legit projects, but yet one can try his best to invest in potential ones, in some cases those carrying out IEO on top exchanges.

The major reason for such situation is lack of funds and interest from the owner or group. Majority of the project owners are so much interested in the funds been raised and not on the project delivery. Most lied about project roadmap. claiming they have achieved a milestone meanwhile they have not meet any target.

I think most of the developers suspend their crypto project because of it is unprofitable, beyond all question, money is the source of all motivation, most people enter crypto for the purpose of making money, and developers are no exception, when they find that the project they developed is not profitable or the profit is not as good as developing a new project, developers would quit the unprofitable project.

There are many reasons that could have led to abandoning a project half way one of which is lack of financial support to execute the project, some project came up at the wrong time especially in the bear market and that led to the failure of the project, some do not have the support of the community and so the project could not be develop further.

Because now it's very difficult to get interested someone in any product or idea when there are a million projects around. The idea may sound good to you, but not to the users, and then it will drain resources and money. Even having a unique platform, no one can guarantee that the project will be successful. People may simply not be ready for your latest technology.

for what do you continue a project that is not profitable at all and only costs money?? This is the logic that occurred to those who stopped their crypto project. The Crypto business is not much different from other businesses that will get rid of projects that cannot take market interest, non-creative projects + not a solution -> will just be a dead project..

Some cryptocurrency projects has stopped i think because the funds of the project has empty. The funds usually used for listing exchanges, marketing expenses, infrastructure expense, etc. Or there is a possibility that the project was a scam project and exit scammed people.

Some developers are for the quick cash only, they are known to sell their premine or to scam trough many tactics, pumps and dumps, 51% attack, bugs that allow the minting of coins from thin air, buggy smart contract that allow hacks, etc.
Thats why is allways good to diversify and to be careful.

many factors determine why people stop the project. The things that I can think of are, greed, laziness, unprofessionalism, and most importantly defeat in the competition. I've seen almost all of these things installed projects. however, each project has its own reasons for quitting, and that is certainly detrimental to investors.

I think some projects are being paused and also stop due to some problems. Some projects i joined has paused their project because of no development in several months, this is also other way of saying the project was abandoned. However there is some project that ia stopped because of technical problems being faced, such as not giving rewards to their participants, also they might be a fake team so the project would definitely stop.

Beside the good plans and good investing to run a project it needs also people support.lack of investors observation and interest can be the main reason of stopping the crypto project. But It can also be an untold internal issue.

Yes if there's no investors who will support the project then the dev/team cant continue it, supporters are needed to make the project succeed. So if the project suddenly stop/pause few reasons are behind it. But what common is it turn out to be scam and the only goal is to get the money of investors and escape. In this case moving on is the best solution and next time be careful what project to invest.

Stopping projects midway is not always due to it being a scam. Funding and investments play a major factor in the success or completion of any project. Apart from that the dev team has to be consistent and true to continue the project. Maybe a weak project or idea with tech unable to compete with the quickly changing, advancing, and volatile face of cryptosphere could be another factor.

Well, Most of them have the rug tension from the beginning so they don't have a real whitepaper or coding on GitHub , that is why they vanish when they got the money , and smarter people make less fraud because people should know when a project doesn't have any first materials why do they put money in it?!

Some crypto project stopped because of so many reasons which are; 1. Fake projects 2. Lack of interest from investors 3. Developer issues 4. Failure to follow their road map or reach softcap 5. Low budget 6. Team mindset 7. No money to fund the project

They need to have some good resources to continue the project without community supports mostly can't survive. Those who are commonly intend to scam surely stop right after they gather the money that they've wanted to gained.

Most projects are only copying others idea and the team will stop to continue because lack of interest from investors. Another reason could be the market situation and they collected not enough for their plans.
The OP is probably talking about those projects which achieved the soft-cap level. In such cases, you can't claim that there was no interest from the investors. In most of the cases what happens is that the project team accumulates funding from the investors, and then vanish all of a sudden with these funds. In some cases, this will be done in a gradual manner. With every passing month, the development will be phased down, until they reach a point where the activity is completely stopped. In both the cases, the investors will lose their capital.
