After making an unrealistic prediction yesterday that Bitcoin would be worth $21 million in 21 years, Michael Saylor announced today on his official X page that he is not at the point of stopping Orange Dot. So it seems that Michael Saylor will buy Bitcoin in this dip market. Last week, Michael Sellers purchased 10,100 Bitcoins, meaning he may be buying more Bitcoins this week to reach the 600K Bitcoin milestone. Michael Saylor's holdings currently total 592,000 Bitcoins, meaning that if he purchases a total of 8,000 more Bitcoins, he will reach the 600,000 Bitcoin milestone.

MS may be able to take advantage of this dumping opportunity today and if he invests in Bitcoin this week as planned, he will definitely make good use of this temporary dumping in the market. His Bitcoin purchase last week was most likely at 106k, but if he invests in Bitcoin with this week's announcement, he will be able to invest at 100k. Michael Saylor will take advantage of the right time by investing in Bitcoin on the eve of the Iran-Israel conflict.

If it's a news based event that caused the mini-crash, WHICH IT WAS, then the recovery will be fast or maybe as fast as the panic sellers becoming panic buyers. Haha. But their problem, they might have less units in Bitcoin if they decide to buy back.

Plus remember, next month is Strategy's earnings call. Other companies that are failing will want to revive their stock prices by copying Chad Saylor's strategy. I believe that Bitcoin will surge higher than expected.

Bitcoin mega-holder MicroStrategy is set to increase its holdings of Bitcoin soon, as MetaPlanet has increased its Bitcoin strategic reserve. Yesterday, Michael Saylor's official X post mentioned that his organization is going to increase its strategic reserve of Bitcoin very soon and that it is going to be at or very close to 600K.

Not surprising to see this especially that MicroStrategy is well established and I will not get surprised seeing them reaching at 600k holdings since for sure that they would take advantage on current situation to increase their volume.

Its great to see their confidence on Bitcoin still high despite of those troubles in the world happen and provably they continue to buy since they are prepared and seems doesn't care about those dumps happening recently.

245 BTC is actually not the lowest purchase for year 2025 look at their portfolio tracker https://saylortracker.com/ you can see on last March 17 Microstrategy bought 130 Bitcoins.

Also on March 19 2024 they bought 33 Bitcoins so that last figure they buy is actually not surprising if you are following their purchase thru their tracker.  So provably there's good chance on their next accumulation they complete the 600k Bitcoins holdings for their company. So far they are doing good with that and somehow curious get some update on when they announce to purchase more bigger volume and hit that numbers speculated by people.

Funny how a $245M $26M purchase seems small to us, lol, when it is an amount that would give us enough to retire on and have our descendants live as rich for generations. Understandable though because of what Saylor has us used to. To me it doesn't surprise me that much within the variability of purchases we know and that the market is on a sideways and even downward with the recent conflict. If we get into a real bull market we will see huge buying.

First a correction FMC.  The Saylor/MSTR purchase was 245 BTC and $26 million.. not $245 million.

Otherwise, I still agree with your point, including that it is quite likely that even 245 BTC is still generational wealth for anyone  who might be willing to hold for another cycle or two.. let's say 10 years or more.

Currently 245 bitcoin have a 200-WMA value of nearly $12 million and a spot price value of nearly $25 million.

Based on the 200-WMA.. I anticipate that currently 245 BTC allows for a perpetual withdrawal rate (sustainable) of right around $1.2 million per year.

I personally expect that in 10 years, the 200-WMA will have right around $500k minimum in terms of valuating bitcoin holdings, so at that point, if none of the 245 bitcoin had been spent, the bitcoin would be valued at a minimum of $120 million.. and the 245 BTC would have a sustainable withdrawal rate that would have had gone up to right around $12 million per year.

I continue to have difficulties understanding why anyone believes that MSTR is going to intentionally stop or slow down accumulating bitcoin based on some kind of arbitrary target accumulation level.

Even though Saylor has ongoingly given various price and time targets, at the same time, he continuously proclaims that bitcoin prices are going to continue to go up, even if there may well be some various seemingly price tops - and he even stated that if the BTC price is likely to still be going up at around 21% per year in 21 years, then at that time, bitcoin is still going to be the best performing asset amongst the choices of assets, so in that regard, it is going to continue to remain rational, prudent and the best place to put assets, even 21 years from now and bitcoin happens to be at around 21 million per coin and continuing to appreciate around 21% per year. 

Part of the glitches that Saylor found in the current system is that other people are willing to give Saylor money to buy bitcoin since they consider that by teaming up with Saylor, they can outperform other options that they have available to them, so it could well be that Saylor will be continuing to take other peoples money to buy bitcoin with it as long as people/institutions and/or governments continue to be willing to give Saylor/MSTR their money for such purposes.  There is no top for this, at least so far, not.. and even 21-ish or more years into the future.

It could well be that Saylor/MSTR reaches 1 million coins within a couple more years, and then maybe another 1 million coins in the next 1-2 cycles, and then maybe another 1 million coins in the next 3-4 cycles.. .So surely it could be that Saylor/MSTR (to the extent that Saylor is still alive or MSTR is still able to continue to follow such similar ongoing BTC accumulation strategy), Saylor/MSTR may well be able to accumulate somewhere in the ballpark of 3 million to 4 million BTC.. and golly, gee, whiz, hopefully they figure out how to not lose any of their coins in such accumulation and/or hoarding/storage process.. since of course, folks are not going to want to ongoingly give Saylor/MSTR money so that they can buy bitcoin if Saylor/MSTR do not make sure to assure that they are not significantly/materially losing any of their supposed coins.

So yeah.. ongoingly, whether we are contemplating the BTC holdings of MSTR or any or any of the other BIG players, there likely are questions about if they really have the coins that they claim to have, yet surely these days (and likely even into the foreseeable future) each of us is able to personally confirm that we have the coins that we think that we have by holding them in personal wallets and perhaps even moreso if we are running our own bitcoin nodes in order to bring further confidence in regards to the coins we personally hold.

I am not claiming that third party custody is going to completely go away or even to diminish in any kinds of meaningful ways, since so many folks tend to be comfortable holding their coins with 3rd parties, even though they run the risks of getting rug pulled, yet I am not quite sure how many self-custodian bitcoins we need to have in order to keep the 3rd parties honest in terms of actually having the coins they claim to have.. Perhaps 10-20% or so of the total supply of bitcoin in self-custody will be enough to keep the 3rd-party custodians in check and/or sufficiently honest.

But if it doesn't happen this year, it's a long-term winner! It merely needs time, and look at how far Bitcoin has been in its journey.

I think you are mistaken about something here. Since I was familiar with this thread and those who reply to me, I realised that there must be a misconception about someone saying MSTR would stop or slow down the purchase of Bitcoin. Neither I nor @ejikeme24 (who replied to me) made such a statement. As boldened in our replies above, I believe @ejikeme24 means a progressive buying past 600,000 BTC, just as my own statement means that MSTR might have hit 650,000 BTC (50,000 BTC more ($5b+)) before 2025 is over. None of these statements means a stop/ slowdown, but a progressive attitude.
