I think we need to put things in perspective and start talking about the price in millions, which would be the step before bitcoin can be a unit of account.

Yes, I saw that MicroStrategy recently bought Bitcoin again, I mentioned their announcement that they would buy Bitcoin today in a post yesterday. The way they are buying bitcoins, it looks like they will one day reach the top of the list of bitcoin holders in the world. They are currently number one among 60 public companies in terms of Bitcoin investments.


You must have heard of BlackRock, they are also buying Bitcoin regularly, and they are even buying Bitcoin in very large quantities. These two large Bitcoin holders have purchased a total of BTC310,996 Bitcoins in the last seven weeks.

You reminded me of something I once heard, “progress is someone moving forward and a bunch of people behind telling him he's crazy...until they join him.”

I don't know if I heard it or dreamed it but I think it exemplifies Saylor's case. It seems to me that the price drop has had an effect on the bitcoin he has been able to buy, less so this time. But I'm sure he keeps thinking about how to buy more and more bitcoin.

There are only 8 days left in December (the rest of the year), and lately, Saylor has been tending to announce his (MSTR's) buys on a weekly basis. 

You notice that some weeks Saylor/MSTR is able to raise more money than others, so if we might say that this $561 million buy is towards the lower end recently and even to the lower end of the recent weekly buying streak, yet it may well not be the bottom, so maybe some weeks he will be able to buy only a couple thousand BTC and other weeks he might be able to buy up to 50k BTC.  It is difficult to know , yet maybe if his average weekly buy might be in the ballpark of 8k BTC, it would still take till the end of January to reach 500k BTC.. and yeah, maybe i am under-estimating future interest, even though it seems that Saylor gets more interest when the BTC price is going up as compared to when it is going down...

I am going to estimate that it will be closer to the end of January rather than the end of December that the MSTR stash touches upon 500k BTC, yet surely it would have been difficult to predict that Saylor/MSTR would have nearly doubled the size of its BTC stash within less than 2 months.

Name one public company that is even close to holding close to as many BTC as MSTR... even 1/10th the size of MSTR's BTC stash?  Maybe one public company, Mara.

Of course, there are a few companies that hold BTC on behalf of clients, but that is not the case with MSTR, even though they issued some debt that needs to be serviced and/or accounted for.. yet a large portion of their debt is less than 1% per year interest rates and not even coming due within this cycle.. ..

and also MSTR has shareholders who hold different quantities of MSTR shares, and yes, the company (MSTR) is owned by the shareholders, so the BTC that they hold is owned by themselves, with some debt involved too, as I mentioned,.. . and who is MSTR's largest shareholder?  Seems to be Michael Saylor, no?

Chad Saylor is a Pioneer, and a Visionary. His decision to make MicroStrategy pivot from an ordinary data analytics company into a pseudo-Bitcoin ETF will be written in trading/investment books as one of the greatest business comebacks of ALL TIME. MSTR has never returned to its all time high since the Dot Com Bubble until Michael Saylor made the decision to buy Bitcoin for the company's balance sheet.

Of course Blackrock is a very large bitcoin holder or bitcoin investor and they are regularly buying bitcoins. But you need to know that Blackrock currently has a huge amount of Bitcoins, but Microstrategy has less Bitcoins than Blackrock. That's right the two largest bitcoin holders you showed bought 310,996 bitcoins in the last seven weeks. The way MicroStrategy is currently buying more and more Bitcoin, they may be able to surpass BlackRock in the future.

According to Black Rock's Bitcoin Treasury, They managed to accumulate 552,714 bitcoins in their investment portfolio.

For some reason, I misread your earlier post in regards to its suggestion that other public companies are investing into bitcoin similarly to MSTR, which I guess you are working with the same information, so there is not any informational dispute, and surely no public company is even close to MSTR, yet recently more and more public companies are trying to copy some kind of a smaller version of what MSTR is doing... and yeah, I stick by my statement about Blackrock holding coins on behalf of clients.. those are not coins of their own treasuries, so quite different from MSTR in terms of comparing Blackrock's holdings and MSTR's holdings.

Panic sellers are usually newcomers into crypto (noobs) who don't understand how the market works. They believe BTC is meant to go up forever. Typical of someone with a greedy mindset (get rich quick). Once market prices go down, noobs inmediately panic and spread FUD telling everyone that BTC will go to $0. The smart money (knowledgeable investors) know this is just a temporary "hiccup", as the best is yet to come.

With how fast adoption for Bitcoin is growing, there's a high chance prices will be a lot higher in the future. MicroStrategy, BlackRock, and VanEck know this. They will keep buying until they become filthy rich. The question is: Are we going to let these greedy corporations get away with it by accumulating all of the BTC? Or are we going to buy and "hodl" no matter what? It's a "free market" (as in liberty), so the decision is up to you.
