There are different types of investors with varying priorities goals, habits, and tolerance of risk. Read this thread to know the type of crypto investor you are.
1. Newbie: In any industry you must first be a newbie before you become a pro. To get started with crypto you need a little capital to start. This group include those with a little or no knowledge about the crypto industry but eager to seek to diversify their investments into new high risk assets that offer a good return
2. Crypto Enthusiast: Like a newbie, the crypto enthusiast joined the market not long ago and still doesnt have enough knowledge about the crypto industry although he has built a diversified portfolio which he checks their performance everyday.
3. Hodler: They are people who will rather hold any crypto no matter the ups and down they believe one day it will get to their desired price
4. Early Adopter: The early adopter are people who got into bitcoin when it was less than $100 about some few years ago. At that time everyone thought bitcoin was a scam but they took the courage to buy some because they believed in the technology.
5. Professional Trader: These guys have seen crypto trading as a part time or full time job. They dont have concern with holding cryptos for a long time. Their main and only goal is short term profits.
What type of investor are you? Im definitely an HODLER
Lets just say that i am a normal crypto investor, because i get ethusiastics towards new project; i hodl firmly crypto currency tokens when i believe a huge profit is sure after my research work, i buy into project idea early enough and buy early, And more importantly, i trade off my profits and trade to make even further profits too.

I'm also a holder. At some point a friend of mine showed me how to use the wallets and exchanges. Since then I'm slowly increasing the number of the coins/tokens on exchanges regardless big spikes on the market.

I can consider myself as a newbie even if I'm holding altcoins and trading. I'm still not that successful unlike other people who are investing on crypto. However, I hope I can become one soon. It's just hard to look for ways to earn money so you can invest on cryptos. There are a lot of possibilities with cryptos but it's also risky.

I am this kind of investors coins price go down and up and if you are holding good coins with good potential all you have to do is to follow their development and sell them at your expected high price that you set up a goal for these coins, some made triple or tenfold doing this strategy. It always pays off when you are holding good coins.

I think I am at number 3 now. Before, I always look at the position of my coins daily but now I just let it be.
If there is a right time to sell then I might do it, but performance base I can still see a lot of support from the coins that I had been holding. I think that is still a good sign to just keep it. There is no doubt other investors feels the same way as me as progress is still happening.

I am of the holder type. Not just a normal holder but an extreme holder who doesn't cash out even at the top of the bull market.
And eventually regret the decision to hold later when the bear market is in full swing.

I've been in this market for 3 years and I'm still the same holder as I was. Before I got into financial markets, I read Warren Buffett and I admired him. hold is an art, you will learn a lot of good things while holding coin. It helps you to be more patient, lucid and calm than ever. Those qualities can help us with many things that happen in life. As for the trade, I have tried it a few times, but I don't feel suitable for the pressure of trading every day.

If i have the capital to invests in crypto, i will become a hodler, no need to analyze the market, patience is only needed, but i would rather learn to trade than become a true hodler, who knows how long cryptocurrency will last.

I'd classify myself an unlucky one. My first encounter with bitcoin was in late 2012. My first bitcoin purchase was below $250. Kept trading and dealing on bitcoin but didn't holded any significant amount on the price boost. Only realized that I should have kept some during the 2017 bull run. Though I kept on bagging coins after than, my average buy price now stands at about 8.5K. I'm an early adopter without any coins, a holder and a rookie trader.

I think I can consider myself as an crypto enthusiast and at the same time hodler. Since the definition of #2 is applicable for me, I choose that too but in reality I'm a hodler of different coins but a huge percentage of my holdings are in Bitcoin and Ethereum. My portfolio is diversified at least and I'm thinking of investing into another 1 coin again (probably LINK or CRO).

There is every need to analyze the market, point of correction here. If you want to become a successful crypto investor or trader, you need to learn how to analyze the market. A good entry matters a lot, also knowing when to exit matter. For instance, while a friend was calling AERGO scam (of course its a decent project) because he lost about 700$ trading it, I decided to do a top-down analysis on the charts, then with some FA and bought in, I realized about 60%+ profit from that trade and it was cool. Also, Investing long term doesn't necessarily mean you just market buy without seeking for a good entry.

I'm just your hodler. If people are looking for the best strategy, then it isn't up to what type of hodling they need to do. Sometimes it depends on how much time they got on their hands. They can day trade if they have the majority of the time in their hands and they can do more profit than holding. I ain't that kind of trader that has most of the time in the world, that's why I quit day trading.
day trading is very difficult and is only suitable for people who have at least 5-10 years of trading experience. If you are new on the market and have been earning in cryptocurrency for 1-2 years, then it is better not to try to trade every day

I'm this kind of investors it's the easiest choice compared to trading where you need a lot of time and money to make profit being a Crypto enthusiast Hodler and Early adopter makes things easy for you all you need is patience checking for updates from time to time and of course always vigilant in the market.

I also love to call myself as a Crypto Enthusiast and a Holder. I did not take a part on any random project ever, not even when i was newbie. I did invest on couple of good projects which i proud of. I'm not a pro trader so i try to hold my investment till i make some good profit. Early Adopting and Professional Trader is quite interesting option and risky though. Cause it need much experience to know a project properly.
