All the hype around Polkadot is coming to an end now and this is when the action starts, people also need to remember that some new tokens will enter into the space too. If the team can convinced ethereum developers to choose their chain to build then this is a first start, if nobody move, it is just going to be the dead chain like Tezos, Waves, Lisk, EOS, and all the hyped Ethereum killer that failed to leave to expectation

Even eth itself is over hyped project, look at what we suffering with the high rate of fees, who is benefiting from this high gas fees, certainly not an ordinary user like me, my only service from eth network is to transfer my ERC-20 but even that too is becoming impossible, so what exactly is making the price over pumped! Even eth is over hyped and priced.

I think redominating a crypto project after a year purely as a means to increase marketcap and marketcap rank is despicable and not worth bragging about.
I also think coinmarketcap lost a lot of trust, when they implemented this change on their website.

I don't think this will continue in up trend and consider as dangerous for long term investments.

Polkadot surely is a promising project but the hype on their coin price is largely due to the Defi craze and as it's correcting now, it's price is bound to go back. Another reason why I don't think their coin would stay on top 10 for long is the large reward they are paying for the coin holders. With excess of token, there's be an inflation bringing the price of coin down. If they keep on getting success, the total marketcap could be maintained.

It's shocking to me that Polkadot made it to top ten, I have other new projects that I thought would make it to top ten but it's all dreams, I never thought this Polkadot is that good, I have too high expectations for coins like Aave and Dia but they failed to reach that expectation.

Because of huge numbers of altcoins platform existed, you'll never notice that someone out there are good because we mostly focusing on the old platforms. What Polkadot did is to show that they are more than a dead project created, they have the potential, and certainly, they can compete with others even though they are new to the market with a small number of investors.

However, just like we mostly do with the other platforms and other forms of investment, we still be careful in choosing a project to risk with. Even me, I wasn't confident as well with Polkadot at first but it seems they are doing good and I don't feel any regrets investing in them.

I'm not confused yet, serious contender to Ethereum? Think again, Polkadot needs to defeat EOS, NEO first before aiming for Ethereum and also Polkadot is new, the end results depends entirely of adopters and developers, maybe they will favour Polkadot over Ethereum in the future is unknown right now
