I don't really follow polkadot but I do think this project will be the toughest competitor ethereum, moreover, there have been many tokens that use polkadots blockchain and have great success and also I have tried tokens from polkadot even though currently most of them have ui wallets that are not good but I am impressed with the fee and also the transfer speed of Polkadot because it is very fast, even in just a matter of minutes the coins we transfer can enter the exchange, if Ethereum wants not to be competed by Polkadot I think they must immediately fix the problem of upgrading ethereum 2.0

Polkadot is a very solid project, which might be undervalued right now if you ask me. I've been trading it and also considering to go long term on it. I tried doing an arbitrage hours ago with DOT from binance to Kucoin but withdrawal was disabled on Binance, I think they already spotted the price gap between the two exchanges. I'll still check DOT chart to take position later on. I doubt if there is any altcoin out there which is Ethereum's big contender, so many have been hyped to beat ETH, but fade after the hype.

Noticed that as well. I'm confused with those. But as someone who's not following this project, they probably have upgraded their chain. I'm also confused as to why it's on top ten list. As I check it, there's no polka dot on the top ten of CMC.

Every now and then one token or the other is or will be a biggest contender to Ethereum, we have been hearing this for a long time now and yet none has been able to beat Ethereum from that position, so it would be better we just stop the comparison and allow the projects prove their worths and capabilities. If Polkadot has what it takes, the right team and all that, let them keep developing and climbing the rank on coinmarketcap, it is actually a good thing as it will make other projects team serious. Lastly, we should remember Ethereum team aren't relenting either and that means they will keep working and maintaining their position. However, time will tell.

I just heard about polkadot a week ago and in my opinion it's not fair to have reached the top 10 of coinmarketcap, after I checked it was still in position 2155, that's still far. But slowly polkadot will enter the top 100 of coinmarketcap because there are already many large exchanges that support daily volume.

Only rare projects can open up crosschain opeability. How many projects can build a bridge from different network? I think thats where they are going to advance. We can see the demand and performance of all polka grouo projects on their substrate and clearly investors are favoring these. Take a good example sor, mantradao, and any line up on polka ecosystem.

Not sure but I think they are gonna be the trend following these defi hype. Binance top leading coin for now is dot. So check to believe, review yourself and see if its worth a penny or just simply another hype project that cryptomarket buzzing now.

I am not following its price action closely but Polkadot (New) being at #2155 does not mean it is actually at this rank, it means that its circulating supply is not yet known/entered (at least on CMC). But as I see on Coingecko, it is in fact at #9, so it was not a bug on CMC. I expect DOT being in the top 5 in the future, its a huge project.

OR, maybe it is because of the support of the community and the developers that are working hard enough to show the world that any coin can break the top 10 barrier if the team is dedicated enough to work that hard. In the end their efforts have paid off really well for now.

The total MCAP is not yet calculated but when you were visiting another site like coingecko and you will see how much the real mcap of this coin. This coin is the same as EOS which used the total supply to make it placed at the top price.

Actually Ive been a follower of polkadot. The price seems okay and judging from the current market is reasonable to be on top mcap easily as the coin has been traded on top market with huge volume.

I can see that whales are finally shifting to dot and probably setting up position. There are too many altcoins that needed to be keep on check. Cmc details are sometimes flawed and displaying wrong information. But in my opinion, its natural for dot to be on the top already.

But dont ecpect accuracy since the coin has been redominated from the old dot.

I just went to coinmarketcap, BNB is still in the top 10 and no change has occurred. Looks like you checked it out at coingecko? Btw Polkadot is a big project and I believe it will rapidly grow strongly in the future, and the top 10 altcoins in 2021 will have this project name.

Coingecko displays Polkadot NEW at top 6th with a price of more than $5. This is a good project otherwise its not going to have a huge marketcap. Its unsure though why CMC isn't listing this project so far but if the project gets a lot of daily volume of $590,732,669, its not going to be good for inferior platform tokens like ADA. Damn, holding it seem a mistake for not seeing the coming of polkadot.

If that looks so promising, why not? Of course, I have to jump through because I know that I can make gain from investing them. Though market supply will affect the price, however, we don't just keep this as a reason that there is no way we go higher but have to keep at a low market price.

What it happens to Polkadot is really impressive but I doubt its consistency, it may be after this huge pump, a dump will strike. It is good for those who it during its early stage of market development but if we are planning to buy this time, I don't think so and I don't recommend it to others. If you were reading some posts above you and you will know the answer and what you need to do to visit the coingecko site and you will get your answer. Idk if that was true or not but coingecko has already put the total supply for polkadot to determine how much mcap for DOT

It's true the project looks promising owing to its features but time will tell if it will remain in top 10 or not, remember most projects once occupied that range of rank, and as time goes on they dropped or climb Futher up. Nevertheless, what I meant is, with time everyone will know if the project will keep going up the rank or will drop. Also, another thing that caught my utmost attention is the thought that Polkadot could be a serious contender to Ethereum, as for me, I do not agree with this, many projects came with different ideas as to why they will beat Ethereum but that didn't happen. The post also prompted me to take a look at it on CMC. When ever I come across such mention, I try to verify and see what is happening.
On CMC the market cap is yet to be updated, so, I am surprised it is gainings lots of attention, although, it has not displaced BNB.

They completed their sale about a month back at 125 USD per token which has not been re-denominated. So if you bought 1 at 125 USD, you now have 100 at 1.25 USD each. Technology-wise, i don't see anything different from the likes of COSMOS or others talking about Interoperable blockchains. Simple math, if the total marketcap of DOT can surpass the total marketcap of BNB the shifting will happen. The same is true for all other top altcoins too. The Coingecko also has the APIs from different exchanges and additional tools for comparing the price/volume/marketcap. TOP exchange's data is more reliable, so I will wait for the settled dust before thinking about to invest PolkaDot or not. BTW, you can't learn investing with try and fail methods.

It's not typo but it's not yet updated by CMC and when CMC will be updating it and it will have the same result as what data that has already showed by coingecko too. The circulating supply, price, and total supply that have already showed by both were the same.

The projects are still feeling confident to use ethereum platform but there are some new projects that has already stated if they will be using polkadot platform for the tokenization purpose. As far as i know if stafi will be using polkadot platform but most of new IEOs are still prefer using ethereum for the tokenization purpose. I also didn't see any project that build in ethereum that will be moving to the DOT platform.

Polkadot surely is a promising project but the hype on their coin price is largely due to the Defi craze and as it's correcting now, it's price is bound to go back. Another reason why I don't think their coin would stay on top 10 for long is the large reward they are paying for the coin holders. With excess of token, there's be an inflation bringing the price of coin down. If they keep on getting success, the total marketcap could be maintained.

Because of huge numbers of altcoins platform existed, you'll never notice that someone out there are good because we mostly focusing on the old platforms. What Polkadot did is to show that they are more than a dead project created, they have the potential, and certainly, they can compete with others even though they are new to the market with a small number of investors.

However, just like we mostly do with the other platforms and other forms of investment, we still be careful in choosing a project to risk with. Even me, I wasn't confident as well with Polkadot at first but it seems they are doing good and I don't feel any regrets investing in them.

I had in my account 99.5 coins so I send all of them by thinking it will auto deduct the transaction fee then got the issue of insufficient balance. SO I made a second transaction by misusing the transaction fee and it gives this issue

They all claim to be ETH killer. This is so they can attract investmentors and luckily Polkadot managed to lure many investors. Same with Cardano that had been in the making for a long time. They are trying to kill Eth for having scripts that will allow good projects to migrate to them without having to experience trouble, sooner we wont be able to notice projects had actually moved to Dot or Ada.

If the transaction fee issue will be solved thru this, I think many of us wouldn't mind.

It's not yet but at least polka has become the main platform that can compete with ethereum. So many smartcontract platforms were not able competing with ethereum.
