In the previous season it was Aston villa who pulled of this extraordinary and unexpected performance and now it's Nottingham Forest, I think the EPL is taking a different dimension where the teams that are reputed to be lower class teams are gradually unsettling the big teams from the top four therefore making the league more and more interesting with each season. Although Nottingham Forest isn't really a small side by their history having been a former EUFA champions league winner which though doesn't really resonated with many fans as those of others teams like Manchester city and Chelsea who just won their in recent years.

Yeah Nottingham Forest is a promoted team since 2022/23 and this is the 3rd season for them, the good thing is they have a great chance to get a ticket to the champions league next season, do you think Nottingham can stay in the top 4 until the end of the season? for me yes they will get it. While Manchester City is still in the grey they are not really safe yet as Chelsea and some other teams could catch up at any time. On the other hand, Leicester City is also our concern being in the relegation zone, they are 6 points under safe zone and their performance did not improve even recently lost 4 matches in a row, this is clearly a bad sign while Leicester City only have 11 games left.

Nottingham Forest will only stay at this top 4 if they are consistent with their winning. The top 4 is still under great competition as some teams are still close to them with point on the league table.

Manchester City had 14 shots throughout the game, but the lack of good chances only allowed them to have 3 shots on target. No goals were scored by the players despite having several chances, so I really know how frustrated the players are on the pitch. Pep Guardiola needs to do a lot in the second half of the season if he wants to stay in the Champions League places, but I admit that his efforts are looking difficult.

Pep Guardiola is basically fed up with everything that is happening, but he is still trying his best to get out of this difficult period. The team seems to have lost their passion, tends to be weak in defense and ineffective in attack. The solution must be there, but they have to go through this season without any title.

It can come from their favorite tactic that is known more and constrained better by their opponents, as we can see similar injury crisis in Real Madrid but Carlo Ancelotti is flexible with tactics in his coach career, and he has been handling it well for Real Madrid.

Top four position will be the ultimate target for Manchester City in Premier League this season. They must get a position in top four because it is a mandatory condition for their activities on transfer market next summer, and their club revenue next season.

My guess is that City's play style is already dead. it can be easily countered by other PL teams now. What i have been seeing from them  for whole game is that they moved left and right, owning big possession, but ended with back-pass to their defenders. They looked like being so clueless entire game.

I also think Pep's tactic already outdated, and he must come with a new tactic. This is the end of his tiki taka strategy. it can easily be countered by using fast brexit football strategy, which is more on point.

They have to find solution over this, otherwise, they're finished.

It's really funny how you analyzed the game with so much sentiment. Every teams does lose matches, does it mean that when a team lose a match the manager's tactics is dead? Can you tell me how many of the big clubs in the premier League that won Nottingham forest at city ground this season? Maybe you have been blinded with sentiments to see that Nottingham forest has been so phenomenal this season especially at home. They played out a goalless draw with Arsenal when Arteta and his boys visited there during the last premier weekend or have you forgotten that Nottingham forest are also a top 4 contenders? It was a competitive match, City played very well irrespective of the result. Stop saying what you don't know. Pep Guardiola tactics are not dead or outdated. Check the time that Nottingham forest scored the goal, they did and you will see that it wasn't an easy match for both sides. The truth is Nottingham forest has been the best side in the premier league this season after Liverpool and Arsenal.

I would not call the match between Manchester City and Nottingham Forest a boring one. It was not boring because Nottingham Forest followed Manchester City squarely and at the end of the day they were able to steal the whole 3 points. And as things are currently going, I will be correct to say that Forest will end the season in the top 4.

Well, this match could even be said to be quite fierce in fact, even though Man City dominated more, we know that Nottingham does have that style of play. They sometimes let the opposing team dominate and wait for the opposing team to let their guard down and then Nottingham took advantage of it and scored a goal.

I'm sure Nottingham's victory in that match wasn't a big surprise. because we all already know the strength of Nottingham this season. Arsenal also managed to be held to a draw by Nottingham, Liverpool even lost 1 and drew 1 this season when facing Nottingham. So yeah, it wasn't surprising to see them manage to beat Man City in the end. because Man City is not in its best condition this season.

You are right, this match is not boring at all, in fact I personally really like this match. But this season Nottingham Forest has really become a dark horse team that all teams in the English league must be wary of. Because Nottingham's performance this season has really surprised us all. Because in the previous season Nottingham was a bottom team that had difficulty getting out of the relegation zone, but this season Nottingham was able to prove to us all that a small team can also compete tightly in the top flight of the English league.

Liverpool performed as expected. In the match between Liverpool vs Southampton, Southampton scored 1 goal in the first half which surprised me. But Nottm Forest went ahead with a goal in the 83rd minute of the game, with Nottm Forest eventually winning 1-0. Man City played well but could not win, unlucky for them. Nottingham Forest won and moved 4 points ahead of Man City. If Man City would have won, they would have been in the 3rd position.

The match between Manchester City and Nottingham Forest was a test of which of those are the better teams and to my surprise, Nottingham proved itself to be better than Manchester City. I have been rooting everyday for Manchester City to come back for the title race but its over for them now and the best they can hope for is qualifying for champions league next year. Nottingham forest would be joining the champions league for very first time in their history. With 9 to 11 matches remaining for teams, I believe the current top 3 position would remain as it is till the end of the season.

Southampton was just lucky to be able to create that 1 goal because after Liverpool got 1 goal to equalize and with some mistakes until Liverpool could have penalty kick to make the score 2 - 1 and there was another second penalty kick for Liverpool and made the score 3 - 1 until the referee blew the whistle to end the match.
In this match Liverpool chance of winning are very big, they are stronger than Southampton and also playing at home, I make Liverpool the favorite and really give win to the bet.

I agree with you, but only with the amendment that tiki-taka died a long time ago, more than 10 years ago. Pep stayed afloat only thanks to huge budgets and top squads, but apparently this doesn’t work anymore.
Frankly, he doesn't look like a coach who can come up with something new and adapt to the circumstances. Most likely, he will just continue to buy top footballers in the hope of getting into yesterday.

It most probably yes Pep's likely only buying more top players on summer. However, i think it won't work as long as he keeps poisoning the way his players play football by slowing it down and focus on the possession. It doesn't work.

Basically for the last few seasons, Manchester United have left the responsibility of their club to an incompetent manager who could not change the situation of the club despite spending money. The club has changed ownership a few times, but the performance of the club has not changed much, but since then, Ten Hag has been sacked and a new manager has been appointed, but Manchester United fans have started to see a resurgence.

I hope Manchester United will lose, but I think even Manchester United lose streak until the end of season, it's still not enough to make them enter relegation zone. The three lowest teams not even able to win, so the bottom that Manchester United can fall is only to 17th position.

It’s unfortunate that Arsenal have to be in such a position but looking at the positive sides it also shows how much improvement the team has achieved in this three years period but Arteta needs to work harder and build the team to be better as ‘good’ obviously isn’t enough. This season is gone already, Manchester City are not coming back from their fourth position to win the league this season, I doubt Arsenal can. It is Liverpool all the way to the end.

It is true that even though Arsenal has always failed to win the title because it has always been won by other teams, especially Manchester City, but until now if you think about it, it can be said that Arsenal has experienced good improvement and of course here Arteta proves that even though his mainstay players are injured, of course Arteta can still make Arsenal able to reach the current ranking and of course if Arsenal wins the runner-up title again, of course it will still be a good achievement.

Sorry , I can't agree with you. Manchester United's performance was weak and inconsistent last season. The team was in eighth place in the points table last season. Even this season , Manchester united's performance was very bad with the help of Ten Hag. That's why Manchester United fired ten hag. But we  thought that Amorim would  quickly bring some stability to Manchester united's performance. But Manchester United's overall performance is still quite  inconsistent. I would say that Manchester united's performance will not be stable unless the squad is reorganized.

Southampton played brilliantly in the first half, but they started to fall out of the match from the beginning of the second half. They took a 2-1 lead in the first 10 minutes of the second half and won the match 3-1 with a second goal from Mohamed Salah in the 88th minute. Liverpool mainly started to compete hard in the second half and started to take control of the match. Southampton's defensive plan may be the main reason for their defeat. I doubt Manchester United have opportunity for defeating Arsenal due inconsistent performance in last several matches before, indeed Arsenal not quit well performance in domestic league but huge winning goals when defeating PSV at Champion League match make more confidence continue the winning trend by defeating Manchester United. Looking current standings behind 16 points left for awhile from Liverpool, seems Arsenal won't losses three points when away match against Manchester United keep in the Premier League tittle race by cut off few points left from the top standings.

Manchester United still difficult in the winning trend last several matches, after eliminating by Fulham at FA Cup match then being draw by Real Sociedad at Europe League match looks Ruben Amorim must focus for second leg match if won't loss bigger opportunity to get one trophy for this season.
