Chelsea performed very well today, I expected the match to be a draw match, but Chelsea put in their best to make sure that they win the match.
Fulham also did very well, I was surprised by there performance. They played very well and I am impressed by the performance. If they continue with this kind of performance, they are going to do very well this season more than last season, Chelsea winning them does not change anything they did very well today and they would have draw the match if not for some chances that they missed.

This match was so interesting, every minute was filled with action, I enjoyed the match from the beginning till the end.

Interesting game of football. A lot of positives to take out from this game. Three points secured, Palmer is coming back to his best. In the attack, I think Palmer, Rogers, and Jao Pedro will cook on that front line. The combination of those players, if they are fit, will bring a lot of goals for Chelsea. But Xabi Alonso should not forget that he doesn't have a professional goalkeeper. Sanchez is not a good goalie. Chelsea's defense was as tight as a skinny pant but Sanchez conceded two goals to Fulham. He is not the goalkeeper to challenge for the Golden Glove.

Palmer is the most talked about right now, this performance is simply outstanding, been a while we've seen such performance from him. I think the combination is the best for Chelsea, Palmer, Rodgers and Pedro, they'll definitely cause problems this season.
The major problem here is Sanchez, he's back conceding cheap goals. I'm so disappointed in him, he seems to forget he should be acting all matured now and conceding cheap goals. Hato also caused some problems down the left but I am sure he isn't the first choice.

Well, as a Chelsea I have to agree with my self that I was never relaxed from the beginning of the match the very end, I cannot  call this a comfortable winning, I understand the absence of the main man (caicedo) at the midfield was really missed today, but it’s something we should be ready to face and take on the challenge. However it was good we managed to secure the three point under serious tension and pressure. This is not the type of game I will want to watch my team play again honestly.

This is how it will be for now. It's a new project so it will not be comfortable at first but gradually if they keep working hard it will get better. Fofana's absence was something as well but even without Caicedo it was a fair game, they just need a little improvement. The 3 points was really necessary so for now I am not blaming, I Just know we will get better, we are on the right track.

Are you fans actually not making this predictions way too early? Because from every indication here it doesn’t look like Chelsea actually did better then the likes of Manchester City and with this performance except we see probably an improvement as the season progresses but this cannot be a genuine comparison because Arsenal even after their first game is really looking convincing. It was seriously a tight game between Chelsea and Fulham which is similar other top club games and with this kind of the performance they can easily be beaten by a very smaller club or even a stronger club than Fulham.

You're definitely right, the performance of Chelsea was mediocre. But I attribute this to the stupid line up, and Chelsea winning this game just shows how good their attacking strength is.

How can a coach play a game without any attacking midfielder and expect a good game play. He started with 6 defenders, one defensive midfielder, and 3 attackers. This is the worst possible lineup to come up with. Chelsea really needs to get an attacking midfielder ASAP. Imagine Enzo is being sold, or is injured, there will be a big issue in the team. Yeah, I know the defending was a bit lax, except for the likes of Lacroix, that guy is seriously too good, but Acheampong and Colwill made so many defensive error. I know Sanchez was very disappointing, but with good defending, those mistakes would've been covered.

When Enzo stepped in, Chelsea had a little pace in the game, Chelsea really needs Enzo or the likes of him in their games honestly. If not, I smell trouble for the Chelsea team.

Joao Pedro is really good but he still need more improvement because after he scored the first goal, he wasn't clinical enough to get a second goal.

Yes, he needs improvement, but not for the reasons you're giving. If it was about just the Fulham game, I assure you he was really clinical. He made clean attempts, and also gave a nice assist. He couldn't score because he never had the opportunity again, the one he scored was ruled out, so he was really clinical in the game.

There was no way Fulham was going to win when they started the game conceding in the first minute it was a very bad way to start the game and this is where the experience of xabi Alonso was applied by the Chelsea players which is to attack their opponent make themselves make one mistake you punish them by scoring early to stay at advantage. I didn't find it unusual for Aston Villa to concede 4 goals because Brighton's performance was much better and more aggressive than theirs, which is why they conceded 4 in the first half. All of their control and they still lost, though I must admit that it was a narrow escape for Chelsea, not to have lost because I don't think that was ever going to happen but to have ended the game in a draw, its good to get as much points as you can this early in the season and if Alonso can put his defence in order then they might be able to keep themselves from conceding goals if they can help it. I would not blame the Goalkeeper for any of the goals, they were as a result of defensive leaks. Lavia and Hato recovery are weak, they allow strikers so much space and the defense was left unattended, King was left to strike that shot freely without being marked by Lavia who was just escorting him, that was a big defensive error. I noticed Chelsea players are bad with up balls, it beats their defenders easily, Fulham resorted to it in the second half and got some advantage and netted two goals.

The second goal could've been prevented if the defender marking Gonzalo Garcia had given him a little nudge to put him off-balance and prevent the header, but he was slow. Most of Chelsea's problem now is their defense, which makes Caicedo very important in the team, Lavia's response to defense as DMF is very slow, same with Hato.

There was good improvement in performance compared to last season, I hope they keep getting better.

I can not really say Chelsea didn't do well in the game because winning while in away is not always easy because It takes a lot of good performance to win in away. I was not expecting less of Fulham because normally they use to be very stubborn whenever they are playing Chelsea and Manchester united and so they played well but Chelsea just prove to them that they are superior to them and that was a nice and great win for Chelsea considering they are still building up.

Yes, I think Chelsea really need to find a better goalkeeper, because we can see for ourselves in this match that Sanchez did not play well. Xabi Alonso played his opening game of the season brilliantly and won but they did not have a very strong attack in comparison. Chelsea's performance against Fulham which did not look very good despite having quite good players and a good coach in the team, their style of play was not improved. It is true that Fulham attacked much better than Chelsea and kept the ball in their possession for a long time and they also scored two goals. Overall, Chelsea's performance was not that good but they need to change their style of play and they need a good striker in their team.
