The match between Arsenal and Man United will clearly be profitable for Man City, especially if Man United can beat Arsenal or at least hold it to a draw. That way Man City has the opportunity to approach Arsenal again but on condition, they can beat Tottenham which I don't think will be easy for Man City either. If Arsenal wins the match, Man City will also have the opportunity to get away from Man United which currently is only 1 point behind Man City.

Manchester City wish to see a draw between Manchester United and Arsenal or best a defeat for Arsenal. They are already 8 points less than Arsenal and it is a big difference that is not easy to reduce. The tough time in new year is best chance for Manchester City to see bad performance from Arsenal. Oppositely than expected, Arsenal did not play worse but Manchester City did.

We will have another week with two big matches for top clubs and Arsenal will have another big test. So far they are doing well and can self confident that they can beat any club in Premier League. Manchester United have an increasing form and become harder to be beaten. However Arsenal don't want to lose 8 point difference because of Manchester United.

I don't know where you saw the top of the standings, because Newcastle's position is still under Man City. After all, this competition will continue, be it Man City, even though they are narrowly separated by 1 point, even Man United, who is currently in a performance that should be reckoned with too. So I'm still optimistic that the standings can be achieved. Even if Arsenal wins, at least positions 2 and 3 can still change.

Ronaldo is no longer contributing to the team, at least Erik ten Hag is also aware of this because Erik ten Hag also often benches Ronaldo. Oh please, can we all agree to allow Cristiano Ronaldo enjoy his time in Saudi Arabia and leave him out of the success or failure of Manchester United. I mean, last season the Portuguese star was Manchester United's best player and highest goal scorer, but even then people kept saying he was their problem, despite scoring many goals to help the team. It has basically become obvious that the media dislike Cristiano Ronaldo and maybe no matter what he does: he would always be the problem.

Ohh Coyster, thank you so much for this, I feel sad reading such disrespectful comments about Cristiano Ronaldo during his last few days at Manchester United. I also blame Erik Ten Hag to an extent, if you have no plans of using him, why give and make him positive of possibly using him. A very difficult match for me: I support United, but I don’t have much faith in their chances of becoming champions. On the other hand, in the race for the title, I am a fan of Arsenal (since against City) and if you talk about the fight for the title, I should wish Arsenal to win. As a United fan, this is hard to do  
By the way, from the point of view of simple forecasting, I also don’t know which outcome is more likely - both teams are now very good.

That way, Arsenal's ambition to win the EPL title this season will be even more difficult to be thwarted their rivals like Manchester City, because Arsenal are now further away from Manchester City in the standings.

It was very difficult to get 3 points from Tottenham.  Arsenal managed to do that.  With this win, they have taken a very important step.  Getting this away win was even more important.  It was an unfortunate match for Lloris, and he inadvertently made a mistake in conceding a goal.  Now there is a big difference between them and Arsenal.

There is a lovely match between Manchester City and Tottenham in Etihad in three days. The last they met here, Tottenham got a really surprising result like a 3-2 win. It was really surprising because there was a significant difference between these teams on paper. Bookmakers were also giving similar odds to this one then. Hence I don't want to be very sure of a Manchester City win yet. Especially while Manchester City are surprising us with unexpected results in the recent times, it is a little hard to be very confident about their win.

But Tottenham seemed desperate against Arsenal the last time. Ramsdale was like a wall and saved many shots. This resulted in a loss for Tottenham. If a similar scenario happens against Manchester City as well then Manchester City can get a win to pull themselves together. The gap is quite big with Arsenal as of now hence they need to keep up somehow.

I'm also not too sure about Manchester United's chances of winning the game against Arsenal, but they are looking better now. Following his win over Manchester City, I think Manchester United's players will be much more motivated to beat Arsenal. Then from that, Arsenal have also lost to Manchester United in their first meeting. So there are always reasons to support Manchester United to win games even if you support Arsenal to win the title this season.

No one doubts the quality of Manchester City. Since being handled by Guardiola and supported by quality players, Manchester City have been able to dominate the EPL in recent years. Now there is a more consistent team than Manchester City, Arsenal have proven that they are better than Manchester City this season.

Arsenal are 8 points ahead of Manchester City, Manchester City need to fight hard until the end of the season to take over first place. I think Manchester City will struggle to get first place because Arsenal always perform well every time they play. This season's ELP is very close to Arsenal, apart from that an 8 point advantage has made Arsenal even more obsessed with maintaining their position until the end of the season.

I am Avery impressed and seeing the way Manchester united is playing, it shows that they may not be able to reach Arsenal which I am very certain that they will win the Premier league. Although Manchester United was able to beat Man City but that does not mean that they can come close to the Arsenal that is in the first position.

Manchester united will win their match against Arsenal this weekend and I will stake on MU. No matter how strong and in the spirit of winning that Arsenal are in, when it comes to Manchester united,their spirit will be weaken becuase, they find it difficult to win MU easily.

Manchester united wasn't as formed as this last year,when they won Arsenal and I believe this present form of MU team will win Arsenal easily without any stress. Manchester city was defeated and I think that should be the toughest game that I didn't expect them to win. You say City are playing at their best? Definitely not, they can definitely play better than this, create more chances than they are currently doing and go on a winning run which they haven't really done this season. I think many people think City have been exceptional this season because they hardly watch their games, and they only see the media report of Haaland's goalscoring heroics, and then think City have been really good, they haven't.

Having said that, quite rightly the other teams around them have been doing quite well, but that doesn't stop City from performing too, they are known to be very good when it comes to title races, and we've seem them do it with Liverpool in the last couple of years and come out on top. Pep has do something real quick and get his City side back on the right track if they are to challenge Arsenal for the EPL title.

Arsenal have great advantage after a half of season and I am impressed with their performance too but I disagree with you that Arsenal will certainly win the league this season. Winning or failing at the end, it depends on their performance in a rest half of season. An impressive first half of season is not enough to give them a league trophy. They must continue their excellent form to win it because the opponent is Manchester City.

Firstly, it was a joke to see arsenal topping the table but with their performance since then, it been a dream come through for the gunners. Everything the gunners can exhibit must be done if they want to be crowned premier league champions. Arsenal doing their best to maintain the top run up, not an easy job to compete with city in the title race. Mikel Arteta motivating his players in his squad inother to grab the trophy away from their top competitors, additional players from the transfer window would really do a big job for the gunners since their keyplayers are injured.

I did not expected them to keep it up this long to be fair. I mean it is possible for most teams to be at the top during the early weeks, and a few more teams that could be at the top for a few months from start, but to keep at the top for half of the season? That's a big deal and I did not see that happening at all.

Arteta is achieving something much more than anyone else think they could possibly do. However, lets not forget the fact that they are still not that far ahead, so a few bad games streak with City chasing? That could result with them being second in the end. I still think being second is not that much of a trouble for them at all.
