While we were at the bottom of the league last year, we are witnessing an incredible rise this year. Of course this is directly related to the Saudi fund buying them. The players and the technical staff started to do very right things.  With some important interim transfers, they can bring their goal of finishing the league in the top 4 places to a realistic level, even if there is no championship. When I compare last year with this year, I saw Newcastle, which has experienced an incredible change.

This season, Newcastle has been fantastic. I hope they finish behind Arsenal in second place. So far, they have demonstrated a commitment to teamwork, managerial skill, and competency. The thing I've observed about them this season is that their set-pieces are producing opportunities for goals. In addition to having a goalkeeper who makes excellent saves, their defense has improved. The most surprising thing to me is how Joelinton and Miguel Almirón transformed from underachievers to the team's top players.

They have indeed had a very good season but to be in the top 2 is definitely not something easy and even I think the current position is also very good for them.
It's not that they can't be in the top 2 positions, but with the current condition of the players, I don't think it's time for them to be there, especially since there are still several big clubs starting to stretch after this break which could jeopardize their current position.

Chelsea is yet to play any UCL game for now, by the time they play against Dortmund around February, we can now say whether they are quite good in the UCL or not.

Right now, instead of thinking about things further, I think it's better for them to focus on their not-so-good condition.

Iam not surprise about Newcastle resurgence this season it was due to the huge investment by the Saudi Arabian Billionaire on the club, recall last season the club battled relegation and eventually made a tremendous improvement courtesy of Eddie Howe when he bought few quality players like Trippier, it's obvious if the club  eventually made top 4 this season more quality players will show interest in the club during summer transfer window thus next season Newcastle will be a very strong and formidable team capable of defeating any team.

I think we are getting it wrong by relating Newcastle’s brilliant season with the new owners. Although they have an impact on the surge but if you look at that the team there hasn’t been any Marquee signings. Trippier was almost a free transfer and the second marquee signing should be Gumieres. Isak has been used at all so we can’t say anything about him. Newcastle success this season should be given to Eddie Howe for the job he has done in the squad. If you look at overall team play Newcastle have been cordinated too well. So saying the season is base on the money spend is wrong because many teams have spend lots of money without success

From my analysis, I don't even think Newcastle will end the season in top three, I believe they might still be in top five before the season end, but I don't expect Newcastle in top three, the clubs that I believe they will end the season in top three are Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester united. But to be honest, Newcastle performance is really incredible in this season, currently they are in third position and Manchester united is in fourth position, am sure Manchester united will do everything possible to overtake Newcastle on the table, and Manchester united is currently in form.

Don't underestimate Newcastle not to finish in the top three because as it is now they are motivated in all manners, especially with money any game they win they get double their salary is quite a motivation for they to want to win every game if possible they have won 3 in their last 5 matches no record of loss, looking at it Newcastle is currently better than many so there is no way man u will be among the top three.

We do not need to wait till Chelsea play in the Champions League against Dortmund before we will determine whether they are good in Champions League or not. With the present condition of Chelsea and the type of result they are getting in the English Premier League it is enough to judge if Chelsea will do well in the Champions League or not. If Chelsea are unable to change their poor performance in the English Premier League they have no hope of getting good results in the Champions League

Strategy is important for Potter to be able to form a good squad, I know how Potter used to be when he was at Brighton they had a strategy so that the team continued and now with Chelsea it is quite different even though in terms of statistics the Chelsea and Brighton squads are different and Chelsea are better however Potter still hasn't found the right one where a good squad forms at Chelsea.

newcastle is still the favorite as the team that will close this season in the top 4. they deserve to be counted as a strong team this season. Newcastle United have shown their strength against Arsenal and other big teams. indeed the bonus for every win will be a big motivation for Newcastle United players to win. Apart from that, Manchester United has returned to 4th place and they are a team under Newscatle United, even these two teams have collected the same points, namely 35 points. So that Newcastle United ranking will be increasingly pressured by Manchester United if Newcastle United is unable to return to winning ways.

Do you really believe that Newcastle can lose to Leicester? The FA Cup and the Football League Cup are not the most important tournaments for clubs in the Premier League, very often players from the bench play there, and therefore you understand how important these tournaments are for them. I will say this, Newcastle definitely want to get into the Champions League next year and that will be their number one priority, they are willing to sacrifice everything else, I have no doubt about that. I don't follow cup matches, precisely because for most teams these tournaments are not important.

The Joao Felix transfer can be a big help for Chelsea actually. Of course one player doesn't change everything most of the time. They still need to improve their team effort somehow. But Chelsea are continuing to make good investments into their attacking area. Felix hasn't been able to show his potential for Atletico Madrid until now. Maybe it was due to some disagreements between him and Simeone, I don't know. But hopefully he starts performing better by joining Chelsea.

He is coming from like the second biggest European league to the best one. I don't think he would have big problems on adaptation. He is still about to extend his contract with Atletico Madrid until 2027 as well. Maybe Atletico Madrid have different plans for the future and they don't want to lose Felix permanently.

It is highly probable that this is because the Premier League is still very tight to watch now while Newcastle is still struggling amidst the crush of big EPL teams who are currently developing in their performance including Manchester United starting to find its true victory with Erik Ten Hag.

Am not underestimating Newcastle, I have confidence that they won't finish in top three, even with the double payment they receive after each win, am not saying they are going to drop drastically from the table, but I believe they won't maintain that third position till the season end. Agree with what you said, even though they are strong right now I think it will be a bit difficult with the quality of their players at the moment.
Not to take it lightly but indeed they need to add some more great players to be in that position but I think for them it doesn't matter whether this season they are in 2nd place (in the Champions League zone) or maybe in the Europa League zone because when they are in the table at this time they still experienced a drastic increase.

Buying a young talented player is more profitable in terms of money and utility than an old expensive player that will soon retire. I highly doubt CR7 could help Newcastle. He failed to help Juve and ManU when they needed him and was part of their problems in fact.

Let's be fair and not subjective with opinions , Newcastle has only conceded two times to Leicester city in their last 5 matches and one of them was a home and away match which is a conventional results we expected sometimes as teams used to defend their home at all cost, other than that, Newcastle always has way they do defeated Leicester city and that was what they still play today and also used their home as advantage. Anyone expecting them to lose to any minor teams even after giving Arsenal tough time, I wouldn't even double chance my stake on today's match because they will win.
