Just the defense? The whole Chelsea team has been horrible, in fact the whole club is horrible at this point. From the owners of the club down. The coach too have been horrible.
Chelsea's midfield doesn't work, the attack doesn't work, nothing works in Chelsea right now. Their problem is not players but a good coach. They need a coach that can manage the players they have. If they don't get a good coach they will still suffer next season.
Pochettino is not a good coach, they will suffer with him. Maybe they wont be as bad as they are under Lampard, but Poch is not the man Chelsea needs right now.

As a Manchester united fan yesterday I must have imagine how everyone of them felt when they blatantly destroyed one of their big time rivals, it must have been a thing of joy seeing the scoreline at the end of the 90mins. Manchester united did a very good work yesterday and even though Chelsea are not in good shape we still have to give them the credit for the win because it has been recorded in the history book of the premier league that united won Chelsea by such a margin and every Manchester would have enjoyed the victory.

I think this is a starting point of his career and his career will never be the same, with all this challenges he is getting more experience for his future career. Chelsea poor performance is not the fault of Frank lampard,  he did not make himself Chelsea's coach. I blame the owner of the club who is well aware of the condition of the club but can't look for a coach that is qualify, that is experienced to manage the club. Lampard is just a young coach trying to build is career like every big coach, he is trying his best.

Lampard got here way too late, we couldn't put all the blame on him, he is not in charge of building the club so he shouldn't be charged with the bad results. The team did horribly all season long and when they fired their own manager, they got him to replace until the end of the season, they shouldn't have spent that much money on those players and fired Tuchel.

If they kept Tuchel they would have done better, but obviously Tuchel is not doing himself justice neither, lost UCL and that was understandable, but he is losing Bundesliga after 10 years of dominating the league as well, they were leading when he got there if I remember right, or at least most of his tenure, so Chelsea could defend themselves as showing Tuchel failing right now as well.
