However, Chelsea still struggled to penetrate Liverpool's defense. whereas some of Liverpool's attacks looked better. because the attacks always go fast. so Chelsea's defense had a little trouble.

I was expecting a better performance from Liverpool but the reverse is what I have seen. Playing a whole 45 minutes with just 1 shot on target. Both sides displayed a very sluggish performance though it was worst on the Chelsea side. I was so surprised to see Hall in the midfield and cucurella in the front flank. I don't know if they will be any difference in Chelsea's play pattern if the injured players return, because the way I'm seeing it porter is unable to rotate the available ones.

well at the end of the first half it seemed that Liverpool were starting to show a good improvement in their game. And I hope in the second half Liverpool can play better. actually Liverpool's attack pattern is quite good. however in terms of accuracy, they are still not good enough. And repairs at the back are also needed for Liverpool. My prediction is 1-0 for Liverpool to win.

Going with the performance of the two teams, I don't think the Chelsea team is the better side so far because they have nothing to who for it, the game has been on equal side, 50: 50 in terms of possession, the goal attempt is the only difference in the game with Chelsea leading 1:2 but Liverpool have been so good with the defense compared to their last match where they were humiliated by Brighton 3:0 I think they will get something out of this game if they should improve in their attack because Mohamed Salah is yet to be seen in this game but hopefully he will register a goal in his name. Concerning the goal of Kai Havertz that was ruled out as off side, there is no doubt is an off side and nothing to say about it.

25 minutes into the second half and both teams were still looking for an opening to score. The percentage of possession during the 25 minutes of the second half was slightly superior to Chelsea at 48%:52%. Graham Potter had played Mudryk in place of Lewis Hall. This was the debut for Mudryk who was bought from Shakhtar Donetsk. While Jurgen Kloop has included Nunez replacing Keita.

Both coaches are desperate for goals in this second half to improve their position in the standings although there will be more changes later after several other matches will be played later.
If Liverpool can't score, at least we hope not to drop points.

In terms of attack, I think Chelsea were better in the first half. Chelsea have built up down the winggers with Hakim Ziyech running down the pitch a lot and crossing into the box, but sadly no goals so far. I think Chelsea will be very likely to win this match instead of Liverpool, Mykhailo Mudryk really can threaten Liverpool's defense with his pace and skill.

Chelsea won't lose if they keep playing like this against Liverpool, but they need to score goals to win. Draw is possible for this match, but it's up to Chelsea and their striker to in maximizing opportunities to goals.

Chelsea scored one goal in the first half, but unfortunately the goal was disallowed because it was caught offside, Chelsea played well in the first half and were able to control the game, making it difficult for Liverpool to build attacks. Entering the second half Liverpool played a little better and so far Liverpool have tried to build attacks through the wings and midfield, but Chelsea's defense is still quite difficult for Liverpool to penetrate.

In the second half Chelsea started to lose confidence, did not play as well as in the first half and instead Liverpool started to press and keep trying to attack, but the final finish was still quite weak. The entry of Darwin Nunez in the 63rd minute made Liverpool's attack even sharper and more dangerous. I hope a draw in the match this time.

At the beginning of the second half, Liverpool tried to put pressure on the Chelsea goal, but this was short-lived and Chelsea again controlled the game more. Mudrik is trying to find an opportunity to score his first goal for Chelsea, this guy seems to have entered the game very well. So far, Chelsea have a better chance of scoring in the game, Liverpool look very weak. It would not hurt to add some speed to this game.

Graham Potter had played Mudryk in place of Lewis Hall. This was the debut for Mudryk who was bought from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Mudryk with the few minutes he has played has looked very threatening and dangerous to the Liverpool defenders. He looks like someone that would have scored if the coach had started him. His pace and quick feet is troubling to defenders, together with Felix when he returns, they will do damage to any defence. It pains me that Arsenal lost out on his deal, I hope Trossard lives up to expectations. Any team that scores first in this game will most like win it and both coaches are going for the win with the substitutions they have made.

Chelsea spend a lot of money, but these have not been the names that will rally the team in the short term. Maybe things will get better in the long run, but we can say that they lost this season. It looks like they will finish in a ranking that cannot even participate in the Champions League. What was the point of spending so much money then?
They have announced the latest Noni Madueke transfer. A 7.5-year contract will be signed and more than £30 million has been spent on this transfer. This was the 6th transfer they made during the Winter transfer period.
I think they should have realized that it would not be with Potter, and they should look for a new manager instead of making too many new transfers.

That's very disappointing for me to see how chelsea was playing in the second half. The first half is quite better than the second half. Chelsea was giving Liverpool room to do some pressure. that was making chelsea lose its confidence again. It seems the match will become a draw between Chelsea against Liverpool. The performance from both was equal at this moment. I would not be surprised to see that both were placed at the bottom right now but Liverpool a bit better compared with Chelsea. I knew the match between Liverpool and Chelsea was going to be a draw. They were both too cautious and none of them was really adventurous going forward. They're both two teams that are struggling and a draw was a no brainer.
The draw doesn't favor either team but I guess they'll both prefer a draw to a loss. Its better you have 1 point than having none. I don't see how both teams are going to make it it to the ucl spot but i believe they can still make it to the Europa spot. The draw takes Liverpool one place upward on the league table but their maintaining of that spot depends on what happens in the game between Leeds and Brantford.

After Klopp changed his midfield with a triple substitution, Liverpool played better and started to create chances at Chelsea's goal, but it was really boring 0:0. I think that soon Mudrik will be able to spend all 90 minutes on the field and this will increase his chances to score. Pottre is now rebuilding the team, this may be an explanation for Chelsea's poor results, but what's going on with Liverpool?

It's better to cast mind away from thinking that either Chelsea nor Liverpool will be able to find their way into top four this season, there's nothing to show that there is an improving on the way. Imagine the form of Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United and Manchester City as teams that are currently on the top four position on the table, do they look like teams that would be losing form anytime soon? I don't think so!

The only room for succour to Chelsea and Liverpool this season is the Europa league hopefully, cause the UCL is a no way route as it stands. My personal opinion though!

Anfield ends with a point for Liverpool and Chelsea. Despite their disappointing seasons, these two teams played well in this match. Whatever the case may be, that is the best result they can achieve. There is no winner in this match, but both teams deserve a point, so the best result would be a draw. It was really like they were both mid-table teams. In the past, clashes between Liverpool and Chelsea were to be fought for the title, but now they are just ordinary games.

The match outcome is fair enough for Liverpool, but with all of their new signings, I expect Chelsea to win this match. However, I believe that the players not being used to each other is the cause of their draw today, but their performance has actually improved above their previous league performances.
