The gunners can win the league if they can correct the little mistakes that has always made them to lose out on the league for the past two seasons. I listened to one of Arteta's interview where he said that he is going to win all of his premier league matches this coming season, that was when I realized that Arsenal are in for a serious business this coming season. I would really love it if Arsenal will the league this coming season. At least it will pay off for the disappointments they have had in recent years. When you look at how their recruitment has gone this summer, you will see that this Arsenal side are in for a serious business. As always Arsenal has already known who will be their stumbling block, the moment they can find a solution to that problem the league will be their own. I don't expect Manchester City to be more hungrier for league this season than the gunners.

If you look at the progress made by Arteta in the last two seasons I have no doubts about them next season but one thing that is quite difficult to improve is mentality and that is the reason Arsenal failed to win the title in the last 2 seasons.
I don't know how Arteta's efforts can fix that but what is clear is that it is not easy.
While on the other hand Manchester City of course also has great ambitions to be able to retain the Premier League title so it will not be easy for both teams and I think fierce competition will occur again between Manchester City and Arsenal next season for the top position in the Premier League standings.

Manchester City is the real problem standing in the way for Arsenal, finding a way to defeat them is just what Arsenal need. The mentality you spoke of is going to come in very handy this season. Manchester City players already has this winning mentality and it is part of them already. While Arsenal are still trying to build this type of mentality and confidence. So at the end of the day it might come down to how mentally strong those players are to handle such situations, and how they react will be very important. Now to City players they are in for setting new records each season and they believe that if they play better than last season that they will achieve their aims. So they go all in to give their best. While on the Arsenal side they are still battling with what they can do to dislodge Manchester City of last season, while on the actual sense Manchester City has improved from what they used to be last season.

At least we still have the game the way it started. Whenever you play against the best (Man City) and you're doing well trying to get into their skin you feel you're the best in the game. What on earth is Manchester United doing building from the back? Some days back everyone was talking about Chelsea not good but they play from the back and they'll concede more goals and we have Manchester United playing from the back as if they are good at it and they tend to forget that the team they're playing against are the best of building from the back.
Martinez hasn't been comfortable with his position and Onana isn't helping with his kind of passes that almost gave Man City a goal, to me if you're playing against Manchester City just play some crazy football don't imitate their style of play, if not it will hunt your team later on and for the last time ETH needs a striker in this game, I believe by now they would have been leading by a goal, but still on still UTD have done an impressive job in the first half.

Obviously Manchester city where dominating at the first half, they had good chances from Oscar Bobb to score but it went over the Bar, and other brilliant goal scoring opportunity they missed. Manchester united after a while began to absorb the game by understand the game patten of the citizens, this was able to make Manchester united reduce the pressure on them by the citizens. However if they still want to reduce more pressure on themselves, they should tightening that right wing which Doku always drives in, because he has been disturbing them greatly from that wing and creating more opportunities for Manchester city on the goal mouth.

Yeah Amad and Rashford where at least able to make an attempt on the Manchester city goal post, creating a little panic on their opponents. Let us see what the second half holds for both teams.

I was disappointed at that decision taken by Amad Diallo because he was suppose to score the goal himself instead of passing the ball and that was why the player he was passing to did not expected him to pass such ball. Rashford also had a good chance of scoring but he misused it. The only chance City had was the one that hit the goal post which was caused by Martinez, because he gave a wrong pass. I believe in the second half after some substitutes would be made by both coaches one of the team will take advantage of the game.

I was able to watch the first half through live stream. It was a fantastic first half for Manchester City, even if they could not convert one of their chances that hit the bar. It was an obvious blunder by Martinez who played left back. That position is not natural to him and that gave Bobb alot of chances to disturb Manchester United defense. Also, Manchester United missed a very big chance as well but then I think the squad is balanced, any team can win.

If KDB is introduced in the second half, it will be a bit of trouble to Manchester United because Bruno fernandes is already in the pitch and didn't have much influence in the pitch.

The match became interesting because the two teams looked evenly matched from the first half until the middle of the second half. Both teams have not had many attempts at scoring goals and so far neither has had a single shot on target. Manchester City can of course dominate the match, but they also have difficulty finding good space to score goals.

There is still a lot of time left to wait for goals to be scored by both teams, but in terms of probability I think Manchester City has a better percentage of winning. De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Savio are likely to play the remaining minutes of the second half, so Pep Guardiola has a good chance of hoping for victory in this final.

Yes, it's true the game isn't going as I personally thought, due to Man City inability to score a single goal in the entire first half, even while an extra  2 minutes was added, However, it's not late, let's see what the outcome of the second half will be, if Man City, with the help of Erling Haaland will be able to win this game or it will eventually end draw, because the bet i played was in favour of Man-City. Heading into the 80th minute and no sight of goals at this point, i see this being decided by penalties. Typical one of those days where the guys are still trying to integrate into a new season. Lot of lags and less energy.
If it goes to a penalty kick i hope city wins cos tell me why rashford is having a clear cut chance, alone in the box yet still has a kiss with the post. Mc tomainay, 2 solid chances and nothing to show for it., i hope they play this way against arsenal too. City is  my biggest rival right now and wouldn’t want to give them a morale boost anyways but at the end of the day but let the best man win.

Alejandro Garnacho few minutes ago did give Manchester United the lead after coming in as a second half substitute. The Argentina attacker since he came on have been troubling Manchester City's defense before and his quest for a goal was finally found when he drove into his opponent's 18 yard box from the right side of the attack before slotting home past Ederson.
7 minutes after Garnacho opened the scoring, Manchester City's Bernardo Silva also found the back of the net to drew his team level. The game is going to be decided by a penalty shootout as the final whistle have been blown already

Arsenal went on to run Alonso's men street with a 4-1 win and I believe everyone has been talking and praising the Gunners for winning that game and not only that but made the Leverkusen side to suffer their second defeat since they went about business demolishing any team that comes their way. Good game but I still don't find this winning convincing at all, they need to do more than that, I mean the Arsenal side, if they don't have a complete squad then next season is going to be a repeat of last season's failure to win the league and the one before.
No issues with how they're playing with the ball, the movement and all that but if they don't get someone who can get them greater opportunity to compete for the title I mean a good striker then Pep Guardiola would be another champion and Haaland will continue dominating the other strikers by winning the Golden Boot in the EPL. I'm saying all these because Arsenal are the only team many are tipping and seeing as the next EPL champions so if they don't do the needful then they should forget about trying to win the league title and they should never forget also that Kai Havertz can't get the Gunners 20+ goals next season, he might but we're not certain at all that's if Arteta is relying on him to do so.

To be honest, I didn't expect Arsenal to win against Leverkusen in yesterday game because everyone saw how Leverkusen dominated their league last season. The defeat against Arsenal is the second game that Leverkusen has lost since last season, and Arsenal played an outstanding game, scoring two goals in less than 10 minutes. The Gunners deserve praise because defeating Leverkusen is not easy, I believe that if it hadn't been for Manchester City pressure, Arsenal would be the favorite to win the league next season, but competing with Guardiola over the last four seasons has been difficult. However, if Arsenal looks for a striker to improve their performance, it will be the best move to help them win the Premier League next season, because relying on Havertz and Jesus, we cannot be sure that Arsenal will achieve what they want next season.

But I was confident for the Arsenal F.C  because they are doing great and they are improving their performance day by day and they surprised many big teams anc now team will underestimate that team.  Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team won the match badly and I think their planning was not perfect and the strikers didn't play wel in the crucial time .  At the start of match two players did back to back goals and  they bent the match to their sides at the start of match. Then two more persons did goal  for the team and tea  m score was 4 and that was excellent score.The defense of Bayer 04 Leverkusen team was not strong and that's why they lose match badly.

Hojlund is still injured and that's what makes him unable to play in this match, I was watching in the 60th minute and I was surprised because thematch was still goalless and worse still in the 60th minute they didn't have a shot on target at all.I thought I was going to lose my bet because I bet on both teams to score. We are having late drama in this opening game of the new season as Manchester Untied take lead in 82nd minute through super sub Garnacho, but this denied by the another super sub Silva who score for the Manchester City in 90th minute now things are looking for extra time with Manchester City is having good control of the game, and they are looking for good start of their another campaign which is going to be challenging for them because many teams are doing good job for having better performance in coming matches.

The both teams really displayed professionalism in the community shield match today and they look both prepared ahead of the kick off of the season's matches. I commend Manchester United for their doggedness in this game today and it looks like they will be different this season unlike last season when they performed poorly despite winning the F.A last season.

After the match ended in 1:1 they headed straight to penalty shoot outs and Manchester City finally won, kudos to Manchester City as they are the winner of this season's community shield. What a good impression they have created in preparation for the start of a new season.
