Expecting Chelsea to perform impressively in every match seems difficult to realize, I mean Maresca needs time for the team he handles to be able to run the system he applies. I watched the game today and I can say for sure, Liverpool was deserving of the victory they got, Manchester United was literally lagging a whole lot, they have no finishing at all and they lack a pattern, they weren't definite at any point and were just trying and hoping they get an opportunity to utilize to get a goal but sadly they weren't allowed that leverage as Liverpool ahs a solid defense, rn hag seem like he's not ready to give Manchester United any thing good this season, in this game I saw his tactics failing before he's eyes and he couldn't make quick adjustments ro save the day, his substitutions showed he was still trying out patterns or maybe could be gambling his strategy, because I don't know why a Maguire who happens to be a piller at the defense was brought in that late.

Honestly I don't know why Erik ten Hag started de Ligt ahead of Maguire it's obvious Man Utd defense was not solid with the duo of de Ligt and Martinez, I prefer the combination of Martinez and Maguire at their central defense, meanwhile Casimero was very poor at their midfield made costly errors thus gifted Liverpool their first two goals thereafter I wasn't surprised he substituted after first half,  Man Utd losing back to back in the start of the season is a big setback towards their title challenge and if Erik ten Hag continue with losing streak definitely it would cost him his job except he changes his tactical formation and make impactful changes to the squad.

Man United could only give a surprise in the first 5 minutes of the first half because after that Liverpool started attacking continuously and from the beginning Man United was impossible to score a goal. Everything proves that Liverpool's quality is far different from Man United. In the first half Casemiro made almost more than 4 mistakes and 2 of them resulted in goals for Liverpool. No! Not just the attack but also the defense. Chelsea do not have a good defense truthfully , if they do, they wouldn't have drew the game today. Thiago Silva left the club and the same with Trevor Chalobah without replacing them with good enough replacement. Nicholas Jackson might have not done well today too and I agree with you on that. I see him as more of a winger than a central forward for a big club like Chelsea.
Playing Cole Palmer as a striker is no different from playing Kai Havertz and Bruno Fernandez as a false nine or number nine, they cannot give you what you want. They should be right behind the strikers. He is a serious pal but he is not a clinical finisher. I agree with you. We can see several tactical mistakes by Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca. Jackson scored Chelsea's only goal against Crystal Palace. But he had several other very easy chances to score. But he failed.

Also I am not happy with Chelsea's starting XI. Nkunku, Mudryk and Joao Felix are very talented players. But the Chelsea coach did not give these three players a chance in the starting XI. Chelsea's coach wanted to rely on Jackson. I agree that Jackson is talented, but at the same time he misses a lot of easy opportunities. If we want to do consistently well, the performance of the players needs to improve. Other than Cole Palmer, no other Chelsea player has been able to perform consistently well.

Harry Maguire without doubt have had his very poor moments in Manchester United shirt but that was before the second half of last season as we all know he's been the club's most outstanding defenders since the start of this year. I was surprised with Erik ten Hag's decision to start him on bench in a big league game against Liverpool but since he's the manager, he'll still have the final say regardless of what we think of his tactical approaches.
Looking at the quality of players in the Manchester United team and the options available for the manager, I have a strong opinion that Manchester United will do exceptionally better than they're currently doing if they're managed by a better manager. Erik ten Hag on many occasions have shown how clueless and poor he is in making decisions that can effect positive impact on his team whenever they're trailing against big teams and that to me is a sign that he's an average manager that doesn't deserve the job at Old Trafford. The club management must get rid of him if they really want to see Manchester United play exciting games once again

But Cole palmer is a midfielder who supports the attack for the attackers to get space to execute the ball, while Jackson is a striker, maybe Maresca will continue to play him like that.

Erik either made mistakes or not Liverpool played such a wonderful game at Old Trafford and silent the crowd at almost the end of 1st half Man United took their chances but was not able to score a goal. Making a team full of young players more consistent is quite difficult. Pochettino last season also took half a season to do it.
