They can do it better and they even did not satisfy with what they did in three latest seasons with a runner up position. It's already three consecutive seasons and Arsenal want to change it from a second position to a championship in this season. A direct defeat by Liverpool weeks ago actually harms their ambitious target but they will not give up too early.

This season will be more difficulty for Arsenal than a last season with massive money spent for squad improvements in Liverpool and Chelsea are ready to compete for a title too. Arsenal will have to compete with two or even more competitors in this season than only with Liverpool last season while there is no clear signal that they improved themselves considerably in the summer preseason training and friendly matches.

I think Liverpool are much more favourites to win the championship once again, I'm happy that there are other challengers competing for the title, it certainly creates more entertainment, but currently they are much stronger in my opinion than all the other teams

I’m eager to hear what you guys think about Onana’s performance yesterday’s game. I didn’t watch the full game, I only watched the highlights on YouTube and I saw Onana made some interesting saves but I can’t speak on his overall performance in the game. I want to know if Manchester United was the problem or is Onana just a bad goalie.

Onana is still building back his confidence after his poor performance in Manchester United. He made a few mistakes in the game between Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor, which were not costly. But this is one of his best performances in recent times. He made eight saves in a highly competitive game. Trabzonspor player got red card in the first half, so the pressure was on their defence for about seventy minutes. The Cameroonian goalkeeper was outstanding and he was voted the man of the match.

There are no contradictions that Manchester United has some defect that made them perform below standard. But Onana was also a major contributor to their woes last season.

After watching yesterday's match between Man City and Man United, I saw that Man City's performance has improved and it seems that Man City has the potential to rise again. Therefore, I think that any club facing Man City in the next match should be wary because I can see that the Man City players have regained their confidence and are performing even better.

I will wait till Manchester City plaus against Arsenal or Liverpool then I winning consider to come in agreement with you on their improvement and that is mainly because Manchester United is not in any form close to what these big three has currently, Manchester City I know will do well against weak sides even when they are in a very poor form and they had some key player sold over the transfer wi do so they still have some improvement to make which I am yet to see as obvious.

Before the match against Man United, Man City had lost its previous two matches, so this win is expected to boost its confidence. Man City appeared quite impressive throughout the match, and they also seemed to have a fairly neat rhythm. This match also marked Donnarumma's debut, and it seems like it won't take him any time to blend in with his new team.

Frankly, I'm curious whether Man City will be able to consistently play well, or is this just because their opponent is Man United? and I hope the next two matches can answer my curiosity, as Man City will play against Napoli in the Champions League and play against Arsenal in the Premier League.

I think Manchester City will be able to play well consistently. The current weakness of Manchester City lies in the number of players who have to pull over because of the injuries suffered by each.
Winning over Manchester United in a derby match will be a good start for Pep Guardiola to improve strategy in dealing with every game.
The presence of Donnarumma is a turning point why Pep needs to rearrange the desired game scheme considering that Donnarumma is like a defender who plays well so that the focus of three defenders becomes an alternative for Pep because doubts in the defense began to be covered because of the presence of Donnarumma.

Onana was giving that rating because he faced 29 shots, made 7 saves, 4 diving saves and prevented many goal chances playing with 10 men against 11 men Fenerbahce. Although, there was a rumor that he also made a mistake out of 10 men frustration which led to the 0:1 defeat.

Onana is just a regular goalie, nothing special about the lad.

They have Benjamin Šeško and Bryan Mbeumo who are usually aggressive scorers at their old club but somehow they have difficulty doing it at the new club, does Ruben Amorim deserve the blame for this poor performance? everyone thinks Manchester United have a good squad it's just that maybe the strategy is bad or not right. Indeed, many lost their bets on that match because, at first glance, Manchester United did have new and talented players such as Mbeumo and Sesko. However, I also don't understand who was at fault that Manchester United ended up not scoring a single goal against Manchester City.

In my opinion, we can’t blame Amorim just yet because he might not have found the right strategy yet. After all, the new players at Manchester United need time to adapt. In my opinion, we should just wait and see what happens in Manchester United's next match—whether they will play better or not. Of course, Manchester United should have been able to score, but Manchester City was simply too strong in that match. I wanted to enjoy  a fiercely competitive derby. But the match did not seem to be that competitive. Both teams are playing defensively. In  50 minutes , Manchester city had only  4 shots and Manchester united had only 1 shot.
In the 18 th minute of the match, Phil Foden scored a marvelous  goal from a pass from DOku. Manchester City is leading 1- 0. Manchester United should have increased the pace of attack to make a comeback in the match. But United's players' attack is quite slow. I don't know why United are performing like this even though they have players like Sesko and Mbeumo in the attack. They will not be able to get points if they play like this, that's for sure

A disappointing end for the Red Devils, as they returned home empty-handed. Besides failing to pick up a single point, they also failed to score a single goal against Man City, resulting in a crushing defeat for United.

In that match, Man United actually displayed quite good possession and even managed to mount numerous attacks to breach Man City's goal. However, it was unfortunate that United's finishing was poor. Furthermore, Ruben Amorin's team also deployed a high defensive line, making it virtually impossible to avoid when Man City counterattacked with long passes.

Yes, it was a tactical match which meant that Manchester United did not exploit their attacking potential. I must say, however, that City were clearly superior to the Red Devils who have been going through a very bad period lately, let's hope they can return to high levels

If you've watched the previous three matches, Man City might not have been the favorites before the match, as they weren't much better than Man United, who managed four points in their previous three matches. Benjamin Šeško's poor performance since joining Man United has been hampered by the lack of good passes from other players before he could finish off chances. There was no significant threat to Man City's new goalkeeper because the attacks built by Man United players were always easily broken down.

This is clearly related to an inappropriate strategy, as I see Amorim pushing his limits too much. Many players are unable to reach their full potential and even appear unable to keep up with their opponents. If this strategy continues, don't expect Manchester United to perform at their best and achieve significantly better results.

Their was a statement I made in the viewing center I was watching the game between Manchester city vs Manchester united, which is "I thought you guys were saying that andre onana was the problem of Manchester united, now he is no longer here, and Manchester united is already losing by 3-0", why I brought this statement as reference is that most Manchester united fan always look for an easy target when looking for who to aportion blames, so I was just being sarcastic towards them and looking how they will react, but honestly speaking, andre onana wasn't  the sole problem of Manchester united, they needs to revolutionize the team just like what Chelsea did, only that way we can see something different from this Manchester united side, aside that, Manchester united will keep on struggling like Manchester united.

It wasn't something many Manchester United fans will be happy to talk about because his performance was unbelievable since they see him as the problem, the host Fenerbahce was on fire with 9 shots all on target but Onana did his best to keep 8 out from finding the back of the net, in as much as they lost 1nil the Cameroonian shots stopper didn't allow a second or third ball to get past him even with the red card they had and if it was UTD the goals won't be 1nill but more than 1 goal, now can we say Onana has never been the problem but the club?
Onana has been at his best but playing for the wrong club will only spoil his name and the records he kept, at UTD many saw him as a flop which was because of the club, how I wish he won't go back to UTD...while Onana was busy saving his new club Trabzonspor the new Manchester United goalkeeper was busy collect 3 goals from Manchester City, kudos to Onana for a wonderful performance yesterday.

Maybe his planning to play badly in the league and sending Nottingham Forest to the second half of the table while concentrating fully on the Europa league just as he did with Tottenham. But you can't get lucky twice just like that. The part were he talked about winning trophy for Nottingham Forest wasn't really necessary if you ask me.

But do you think these things can really happen? I've always thought that you can't lose matches on purpose to go to an easier league and try to win it. It certainly doesn't have the same prestige as winning the Champions League,certainly tactical but not right

I’ve watched every Liverpool game this season — they’re winning, but not because they’re the better team. It’s mostly because luck is on their side (a late goal against Newcastle, a wonder goal against Arsenal, a silly penalty against Burnley).

They’ve had a lot of luck, but sooner or later, luck runs out. Then we’ll see if they have the quality to make up for it.

Sunday was another luck narrow escape for Liverpool, I couldn’t believe Burnley would be able to hold Liverpool down, almost stopping them from scoring until the final minutes of the game even with 10 men. I wish Burnley could take a point back home, would have been a good point for Burnley if they could get a point at least from this game.

From the player rating it indicates he performed very well, I would say one thing, if every goal keeper have a very good defense they would perform very well, I think that was what Onana was lacking at Manchester United. At his former team Manchester United Onana is bound to face at least over 5 shot per match which is very bad. If we could all recall, at inter Milan he had very little to do, the inter defense where doing a very good job at the back.

Maybe it a good thing he join Trabzonspor, maybe to bring a bit of light to his career, I just hope he continue to Impress as he did yesterday, because if not for him Trabzonspor would have conceded more in this game. It was good and impressive debut for the Cameroonian.

Winning goals that just scored before the end of the match are often considered to be just luck, and it seems Liverpool have that luck because it's not the only time they've experienced it, but it would be unfair to think it was just pure luck because Liverpool really tried hard to get those goals and I think Liverpool achieved that dramatic victory because they also possessed a winning mentality. Teams with a winning mentality usually have good composure, so they can get out of difficult situations they face.

If you've ever played against a 10 man side during your local league games, you'd understand how easy it is to beat a 11 man than it is to beat a 10 man. Burnley are naturally stubborn and can make life frustrating for big teams. They tried to do with Manchester United but they escaped it. Liverpool fought hard until the last moments. But then, they have seen themselves scoring late to win games should we be worried about that?!

Manchester United has been ill for a long time know and they failed to recover since the departure of their legendary coach. I still doubts about their recovery in the upcoming years because they have to start catching talents everywhere since the beginning of their careers and avoid keeping players because of their names while they are performing bad or fluctuating.
This round results weren't far from expected for most of the games except Chelsea and the number of goals scored by Manchester City.

Manchester United's performance has been erratic this  season. They  have spent a lot of money. But even then we have not seen a better performance from them. They have won only one match. And  have lost points in all three matches.

Manchester united lost in the first match against Arsenal. But their performance in this match was quite good. But Manchester United could not continue such a sequence in the next matches. Even  though they could win against Burnley, they were lucky to win. Manchester United secured the victory by scoring a goal from a penalty in the last minute of the match.

I was very disappointed with  United's performance in yesterday's match against Manchester city. They performed very badly. Especially in the first half, United's players were  able to make only 1 shot. Despite changing the match strategy in the second half, United could not score any goal. Instead, they conceded two goals.
