Manchester City played against weak team because Bodo/Glimt has never won against any Premier League team in their history, yet they beat Manchester City like average team. You can’t compare Sporting CP with Bodo, in my opinion, Sporting is better than Bodo, and I wasn’t surprised that PSG lost against them. No matter how "good" Manchester United plays against Arsenal, expecting them to win or even get a draw would be unfair to them. They are a team that is finding it's feet just recently, and even sacked their manager because of bad results, sure they had one good game result against City and kudos to United for being able to do that but that doesn't mean that we should be expecting them to get a win here and we need to make sure that we can see them do aa fine job and try their best but not judge them if they end up losing the game.

So for what the other user said, Manchester united have a very high chance of finishing in the fourth place in this season, but if with the opportunity they currently have, still ended up finishing in the fifth or lower position, then indeed, the management of the club sacking Amorim and hiring the current coach was absolutely not necessary.
