I think people are underestimating Manchester City a little too much. Maresca, in my opinion, is a coach with many abilities and for me he also demonstrated this at Chelsea, who however were unable to appreciate his continuity. i think that City are still a team still standing and that Maresca has the right personality to take the reins from Guardiola. i sincerely hope he knows how to adapt to the team.

It is still too early to say for sure, as we need to see how Maresca handles Manchester City while I am personally a bit skeptical, we should let him get to work first.
Manchester City can still be contenders next season, provided Maresca understands how to get the best out of his team though a managerial change inevitably impacts a team's campaign to some extent.
Maresca is not a bad coach, and Manchester City has a squad full of quality players it will come down to how well he harnesses their potential to compete for the title next season.

Sure, we can't really say much for now about him and his team. Despite winning there last pre season match 3:0, it is still not enough to give him full credit. Maresca isn't a bad coach, and city isn't a bad team after all. They still have enough quality players, and more .ay still come.

My only concern is just how the head coach can manage them and get the best out of them. Whenever there is a change of coach, there is always something different from what it used to be. It's either is affects positively or on the negative side, which no one ever wants. We have seen Maresca perform previously at Chelsea, and it wasn't a bad one. We are also expecting the same good performance or even more at city. We are only positive yet, till the work gets really started in few weeks.

Arsenal are the Premier League champions but I think they will perform well this season and make the team even stronger, without Vinicius.
Arteta confirmed he has learnt from the Betis 3:1 pre-season defeat, he stated that the match has shown him areas of the pitch where Arsenal requires improvement in the coming season. Arsenal fans shouldn't fume about missing out on Vinicius, Arteta understands quickly, methods to fill up a loophole, the team will be strong to defend the title, with the right wingers here and there.

I hope he doesn't start the season with that same performance because it that happens the team is going to be disgraced and the fans will go from hyping him to asking for him to be sacked. If they can't get Vini Junior there are other good players out there to take that position if the team so need to cover that particular space and in less than two weeks the season 2ill begin and Arsenal will need to defend their title, if they focus on defense and have no strong attack then it's going to affect them because the league is not a place where other teams will watch you use same method to defeat them over and over again they will try to stop you.

Why should they be disappointed since Vinicius Junior decided to remain with Real Madrid,  there are other stars they can ho for who will boost their team overall performance.
That aside, Arsenal have cemented themselves for me to judge them with a defeat during pre-season, this is different from what I feel for my team Chelsea after our consecutive defeat. Although they still need to strengthen their squad which is also important for them to compete better.

The friendly match was just a test match, it was never made a serious match by those big teams.. especially when the world cup had just ended and most of their main players were still absent, it made the team unable to show their best performance. so the real thing is when at the beginning of the season, there the new team starts taking the competition seriously instead of simply using second string players or test test strategies.. and at that time we can only see what they're actually capable of.
I think we should all understand by now that there is phase to everything even in football. It can't just always be playing football games back to back, there should also be a time for recess for these players and I do feel like they are not even doing enough justice to then because these guys are literally jumping from here to there with out any solid time for them to rest properly and take leaves to visit their family, it's almost always from one playlce to the other. A friendly match is like a test match for every big team out there, a time for the team to use some of their B list players to also see their potentials and how well they will play in a big game, which is good while these bigger players go around playing from one game to another.

You shouldn't judge teams based on their preseason friendly matches. During this period, they're testing new players and game plans winning isn't even the main goal for many teams, unless you're Bayern Munich, because Bayern Munich always wants to win. Even my own team, despite winning the league four years in a row, is playing poorly in friendly matches. I'm curious to see what they'll do when the league starts, not just for now.

If we should look at it that way, what about the teams that are winning almost every of their preseason games? What should we say about those teams? Anyways I agree with you on this, let's just calm down and wait for the beginning of the new season, then we can judge, but another thing again is it's better for your team to be winning even on this preseason games to at least boost the confidence of the fans, because seeing your teams losing matches to even teams that are not supposed to win them is quite discouraging.

arsenal looks to be the favorite to win the title this season. looking at the odds on polymarket, even for a season that hasn’t even started yet, the predictions about which two teams will be in contention seem to be the same, as arsenal and manchester city’s combined chances of winning the title total over 66%!

if arsenal were to win two consecutive titles after going so many years without a championship, they would truly deserve it.

How I wish that Arsenal also made it to the second achievement this just concluded season with the UEFA champions League title to top it up over the premier League, it has been a long time attempt they have been making to ensure that the achieve this goal, but you are extent they still made it to the top and tried their best, while as for this new season, they need to either maintain or do more better in order to remain consistent, and I wish that they also have it the second time.

Yes, from their form last season, how they struggle to win the league after finishing second in three consecutive seasons, they have finally won the league ahead of Guardiola, they should definitely be the favorites to win the league again next season.
Arsenal has also signed some good players, they sold Trossard and have signed Christis Zholis, and now Burno Gummeris to increase creativity in the midfield. With this signings, Arsenal have the chance to win the league again next season if they performed well next season.

It's not surprising that they are leading the chart after all they seem more like the most well structured team, they have been together for years and Arteta have been building team for long and it paid up ladlst season when they lift the EPL trophy, yet I don't think they are going to get a back to back trophy but still I don't know who is going to lift the league but not Arsenal yet they will have the highest odd at the moment.

I think that after City's manager change, now the real team to beat will be Arsenal. Because City has lost some pieces in terms of players, a ten-year manager, while Liverpool is in the recovery phase. At the moment Arsenal are the best prepared team to face next season.

I wouldn't rule out City just yet. They could have a surprise season like Liverpool did under Arne Slot after the Klopp era, although that seems highly unlikely. For me, the biggest contenders to win the league are Arsenal first, then Man Utd, with Man City in third.
I think the same thing. That this season, Arsenal is the strongest contender to win the title. Yes, we can’t rule out Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool. However, judging by the team’s preparations and the strength of its roster, it seems that Arsenal won’t face any major challenges from its rivals in its quest to win the title again. Unless, of course, Arsenal itself is unable to maintain consistent performance throughout the season, which could cause them to lose the title.
We know that nothing is guaranteed in the Premier League. Arsenal, as the reigning champions, are currently considered favorites, but we remember how poor Liverpool's season was last year despite being the defending champions. Whether something similar will happen to Arsenal will depend on their consistent performance throughout the season. If they can't achieve consistent performance, they could suffer the same unfortunate fate as Liverpool. However, considering their current squad, they are one of the strongest contenders for the championship, and Arteta will want to win the title again by taking every match seriously. I think it will be a season with a very high level of competition. The two teams I'm most curious about are Chelsea and Manchester United.
I don't expect Arsenal to win the premier League this coming season, so even as they are the reigning champions, I don't consider them the favorite to win the title, I might be bias in my opinion, but I had to look at their performance last season which I would conclude that they won title with pure luck.  Liverpool have gotten some new players, I believe they've looked at the places they got it wrong last season, so let's watch out to see what they have in store in for us this time around.

Your curiosity concerning Chelsea and Manchester United is well noticed, me too I've been curious as to how this both teams are going to fair this coming season, we saw how Manchester United where able to pull a stunt towards the end of the season, we are hoping they will improve on what they started last season, as for the Blue's, I'm still skeptical about them.

This coming will tell if Enzo Maresca is a good replacement for pep Gaurdiola. The reason why people are underestimating Manchester city is because they know that Gaurdiola contributed much to the improvement of Manchester city. People are skeptical if the new manager can be able to handle things the way pep Guardiola does. Manchester city may not perform well this season under Enzo Maresca and it he may not be able to achieve what pep Gaurdiola has before leaving Manchester city.

I believe that many teams are purposely hiding their true potential. Xabi Alonso's Chelsea could be one of those. Xabi Alonso has a very specific and studied game in his head, which he will make only at the start of the Premier League. If Chelsea can adapt to the type of game that Xabi Alonso has in mind, they can do very well this year.
Alonso has been very active in the transfer market since he arrived at Chelsea. And I think this is actually a reflection of how Chelsea behaves when new coaches arrive. In his short time at the club, he's already completed four signings: Quenda, Welbeck, Barco, and Henderson. And Chelsea are currently close to completing the transfer of Chavaria from Rayo Vallecano, the deal is valued at around €20 million. Therefore, the new season will see a renewed Chelsea, one that should implement Alonso's strategy.
Alonso is smart to find a replacement for Cucurella who's left for Real Madrid, Chavaria is a left-back and is fit for the role. I like that Alonso is also bringing in a mix of experienced players who understands the game very well. Experience surely counts in ability to retain consistent performances and it would add veteran leadership among the youngsters. Henderson is a good addition, but I'm not too comfortable with Welbeck, although the coach knows better why he went for him.

Well, during the preseason, if we really want to evaluate anything, what we can assess from a preseason match is the individual performance of the players who are given the opportunity to play in that match. Rather than assessing the team’s overall strength, which isn’t really apparent during the preseason. During the preseason, the coach is simply testing out various positions and evaluating players who might have the potential to become starters. If a player fails to impress the coach, they’ll usually end up as a reserve player, just like always.

And during the preseason, I never dare to pick a favorite team. Predicting the total number of goals and hoping both teams score is the most realistic approach in the preseason. After all, all teams will show their true form once the season actually begins.

Arsenal Losing one preseason match did not mean that they are not in good condition. It is just preseason, and preseason is not always likely to be like the main season. Even in the main season, it does happen sometimes as we did not expect, and that is football.I don't know, maybe those that watched Arsenal's second preseason match did not watch their first preseason match against Girona, when Arsenal defeated Girona 4-1.

Preseason is just a warm up for games, and most teams don't take it too seriously. In fact, there are teams that always do well in preseason, but during the main season they hardly perform well. Now that it is clear that Vini has extended his contract, I believe that Arsenal will start looking for a good alternative. Still, Arsenal have signed one left winger, Christos Tzolis, and based on his records at his former club, he is a good player. I just wish he would quickly adapt to the Premier League

Being active in the transfer market is not enough to say that a team will do well when the new season begins. We will have to see how they farewell in the new season bringing together this new stars and pairing them against each other in the game. I trust Alonso so much that he’ll make Chelsea better this new season than they were last season but we just have to see what he’s capable of doing more when the season begins. I love his signings, and they can only make the team more stronger and face the bigger challenge ahead of them for the title.  Chelsea should at least finish in a better position than last season with the coming of Alonso and them having just few competition to be participating in.

So preseason does not guarantee a performamce when the season starts.

That is indeed true; preseason matches are just like regular games used to hone the players' skills. During these matches, coaches monitor the players to identify their weaknesses and work on improvements in preparation for the actual season—a strategy employed to ensure the players maintain strong performance levels.

Arsenal Losing one preseason match did not mean that they are not in good condition. It is just preseason, and preseason is not always likely to be like the main season.
Even if Arsenal lose all their preseason matches, that doesn’t mean they not going to perform well when the season start. We all know most teams don’t take preseason matches serious, they just make use of it to try out new strategies, they try out some players to see how they going to perform, so because top clubs are losing in their preseason matches doesn’t mean when the season start, they not going to perform well.

With how Arsenal performed last season, who is even going to think they not going to perform well by next season. I still think Arsenal should be able to win the premier league title by next season, I think they are more stable than the other clubs remaining.
