Manchester United did have what it takes to compete for the UEFEA Champions League this season and they did qualify under the new manager. This is the kind of epic performance we're watching and we solemly hope the Red Devils can be able to replicate this performance next season. It's all just a matter of time before they can bend well and ensure they're grabbing comfortable wins this season. I've watched Michael Carrick football previous season and I can beat my chest, they did 10x better than Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United is just having or lacking composure in games and they're not heading to win anything big, only struggling to meet up and it's just matter about time before we start to see them becoming that team that's just undermined this season.
the new coach is bringing something new to the pitch and this makes everything much more difficult, climbing the rankings is a very difficult thing in the premier league, in the end we always see the same teams, repeating themselves is easy, they always have the possibility of doing so, you have to trust the new coach.

Manchester United’s main problem is that they have lost the mentality that was growth in the team under Alex Ferguson; when a player joined the Red Devils, he knew he had to give his all and that nothing would be tolerated. Instead, for the past few years, the team has been surrounded by figures who foster a sense of pessimism and make life difficult for the players; the serenity and happiness of the past are no longer there. Carrick is doing an excellent job, but without stability within the squad, it is impossible to foster the mentality needed to win and achieve consistent results.

If by the middle of the season there's still no change at all, it would be perfectly natural for criticism of Carrick to grow, and his position there would be in jeopardy.
the disappointment is there but it couldn't have been expected that they would be able to maintain the top position in the table, already being there is a good thing, i have to say that Manchester United can do much more than that, the change of manager has destabilized them a little in my opinion, they have to be patient and wait.

I still believe if Carrick is given time, he will definitely win back the hearts of fans, and the hearts of people who have lost faith in him. The team is actually going through a lot at the moment, they haven't really hit the level they were at last season when Carrick first took over, and I know they will definitely get back to their best, it's a tough time, and the fans need to support them this period, because the team needs them more. The mentality the squad had last season had depreciated, it needs to be rebuilt, they need to win games for that confidence to be back because it's all about their mind. If they can win just one big game, then i think they will bounce back to their best and start a good run of form.

I was having to entertain this thought since the season has only just begun and pretty much open to just any team at this time but, when the improvement isn’t forth coming especially on games where you would have expected them to just swoop in and get a win, I wouldn’t blame fans for being furious at their performance. No one wants to be watching their team lose and not have something to say about the man with the job.
Manchester United and Chelsea are the scum of the premier league as it stands, they are some unreliable team with a good coach and players yet, they both fail to give results.
Definitely Manchester United and Chelsea are the worst teams in the 2026-27 Premier League season as both of them are performing extremely poorly despite having good coaches and players, as proof of that we note that Manchester United have won just one out of five matches this season. They were strong on paper against Fulham yesterday but I was surprised to see their reliable defender Lisandro Martinez turn the game around after scoring an own goal but later Matheus Cunha scored to equalize for Manchester United. The team finished third in the points table last season but it is arguably their lowest performance this season and despite Chelsea having an experienced manager, they have won just two of their five games this season and in the last match they lost 3-0 against Brentford. So it can be said that these two teams could not bring good results in this season of PL.

I don't understand what you meant by the change of manager has destabilize them, is Michael Carrick not the person that made them qualified for champions league this season? Is he not the one that won Manchester city, Arsenal? So what are you saying? There is always a downtime in football no matter how good you are so maybe this is their own downtime but this should not last for long else it will become a big setback for them, meaning it will be very difficult for them to actualize or achieve something this season.

Manchester City fans has gotten so familiar with winning streak that they no longer see it as a big deal, thanks to the incredible results they were having under Pep Guardiola. Before this weekend, Arsenal have been getting all the praises as the team with best performance so far in the EPL but now that they've lost while City won their game to go top, I think that narrative will change. Enzo Maresca has been doing exceptional job since he arrived the club, many doubted him at the start of the season but it seems he's determined to prove his doubters wrong.
Manchester City fans have certainly gotten used to a cycle of unparalleled victories in recent years and it's difficult to go back to normal when you have this level every year. i have to say that i would have expected a physiological decline in the team after all these years, but no, they're always on top of things.

United is under rehabilitation that is the best way to discribe the situation that Manchester United finds themselves to do. Manchester United keeps making the same mistakes each season, by sacking their mangers and bringing in a new one only to see that it's not working. United should not go that way with Carrick and repeat the cycle again. Carrick should be given time to build this Manchester United team because no Coach can come to a place like Manchester United and turn things around.

The beauty of playing so many games in the premier league is that it's not always about who's able to start with a straight win of Thier few opening games. As the season progresses, consistency matters a lot and when it comes to this, arsenal can be found wanting and city always have this strong mentality that they are the winking side. Toping the table and pushing arsenal out is a big statement but from how the table stands, it clearly shows that apart from Manchester city and arsenal, the other teens are not capable of joining them in the race to winning the league. From all indication, this is a battle between arsenal and Manchester city.

Michael Carrick made everyone to believe in him that you can be a great manager in Manchester united, every team will surely do what Manchester united did by making him there head coach.
It’s too early to start concluding if Carrick will be a great manager at Manchester United or not. Just a few matches have been played, and we can’t use that to judge how his performance will be at Manchester United. It’s better we just allow Carrick calm down, we shouldn’t put so much pressure on him, because if they do that they might end up causing more problems for Carrick. Manchester United management, and fans should just support Carrick. If things are put in proper place, then I feel carrick will be able to rebuild the team. Are you kidding me? Like are you for real? It seems you're forgetting this is not his first season at Manchester united, like he literally came half of the season, in the just concluded English premier league season so he must has understand one or two in the league, so say it's just few games in the season doesn't make no sense to me, like last season he was beating every teams in the league, how many matches did he played before he started winning? The earlier you know he's not capable of this work the better for you.

Yes, Manchester City is playing well this season and sitting on top of the Premier League comfortably, after Arsenal lost their game, it’s never been a secret that this Manchester City fans are experiencing massive happiness in the Premier League and Europe and they are happy because of the success of the club in recent times, but let’s not forget that Manchester City fans have also suffered before their rise to the Top Echelon of Football in Europe, after they were bought by the Qatar owners, just like Manchester United fans are being disappointed every week, they’ve also enjoyed their time with Alex Ferguson as the manager, I think now is now the time for agony for them, and I believe they’re going to suffer it for many more years to come, Liverpool have enjoyed previous success and have also suffered, every team goes through this phase, Arsenal and Chelsea have gone through that phase, but Manchester City fans shouldn’t get too carried away and not get too, because nothing last forever, the phase might also come for them before they know it.

You might think that performing poorly and being the worst team in the table are the same thing, but I don't think so. I know that both teams played badly so it's natural for them to be disappointed. But they are certainly not the worst team. You may be wondering about United's situation, as others naturally do. Because they have only 5 points from five games, lost to City, crashed out of the Carabao Cup to Brighton, and even a 1-1 draw against Fulham with Cunha somehow scoring, it's not just bad luck. But Carrick has won 11 of 16 games since taking charge last season, which lifted United to third place and into the Champions League. I think that just because they have played five bad games, it shouldn't be forgotten.

I think that if Arteta fails to manage the mood within the team, Arsenal could once again find themselves going through a crisis in the middle of the season.
Arteta is a smart coach, but his attackers were like rabbits on the headlight in that game against Brighton, Saka underperformed again, his backup Madueke hasn't given his full potential to the team either, Konza on the backline is like a trap to the Arsenal team. Arteta understands this but fails at fixing the faults. Odegaard didn't deliver strongly, in the match, but he'd hardly substitute him for Eze, rather he'd prefer to drain his career at the LW. These errors I'm sure he sees and pays a blind eye. If he begin to take up charge in making adequate changes his team strength can again be tough on their oppositions who are eager to defeat them on every available opportunity. Brighton has been spitting feathers on Arsenal since last season, they came this season hungry to defeat Arsenal, even their manager wasn't happy about their last season's 1:0 defeat, saying that Arsenal uses a delay tactics to win games, this season they brought a superb pressing technic to avoid any form of tactical mischief from Arsenal, and as expected the gunners were truly bullied. A bad day at office indeed.

I'll call it what it is and this above is bullshit. Last season this same time, Ruben Amorim was slandered heavily but can we say the same for Michael Carrick's poor performance this season? Even with fewer points accumulated, we're yet to see Manchester United fans and not even the British media call Michael Carrick out for his shambolic technical and tactical structures. I read post like this and I can tell people like this never played and lack understanding for also watching football. There's no time to be given to a coward and confused head coach who decided to bring Marcus Rashford back into our starting eleven. Like I say yesterday, people like you do not learn. Michael Carrick will most definitely be shown the exit if this continues before December. It is that bad.

It's true, the problems still exist and you can see this. But it's one thing to lose with problems and it's another thing to win with problems. If you win despite the problems, in my opinion you will have the right mood to look for them, understand them, accept them and solve them. If you lose, in my opinion you enter a self-destructive spiral.

No one is putting pressure on Michael Carrick, he's the one putting pressure on himself since he couldn't deliver excellent results for Manchester United.

This will be another challenging year for Arsenal to win the trophy if at all they will get to win it. They were dominated in their last game and had no chance for a win in that match. Manchester City on the other hand were already at their best as they continue their unbeaten run to the season which has given them an advantage to top the table currently. Enzo Maresca is doing a great job in that team, they will feel as though Pep Guardiola never left and will still dominate this season and fight for the title like never before.

So because Arsenal were dominated in their last game they automatically are longer favorites to win the trophy again? I think that is just what you are expecting because You would have had more hope about this your analysis being true if Arsenal had played well and then still lost the game but Arsenal played very poorly that everybody knew it and they obviously lost after a very long time of not being on the losing side. Arsenal still lost a game last season against Liverpool if I am not mistaken and they went on to win the league still. They are still very much the best team in the league, they just had one bad game.

In terms of performance, I admit that Arsenal will face even more pressure this season now that City have been able to perform consistently. But as far as I know, even after suffering one defeat, Arsenal's mentality will not drop. Their strong results last season have made them truly ready to face any challenge in their pursuit of another title.

Enzo Maresca is doing a great job in that team, they will feel as though Pep Guardiola never left and will still dominate this season and fight for the title like never before. You know the funny thing about all this? His former team thought he was the problem. The media carried negative vibes and pushed all sort of narratives to downplay that man's effort. Now he got a contract to apply the same tactics and possibly, the same formation he was using and it's working for another team. It's clear where the problem lies because Chelsea are still performing below expectation and that has a negative impact on them. Meanwhile, United refused to lose completely against Fulham yesterday. A shard point ended it well for them, but that was a big struggle of a team of that class. First goal was a very funny own goal, and the equalizer was another deflection. The entire match was a struggle for both teams.
