On top of that, even though they have a manager with a good track record, a team that has just gone through a major rebuild and is filled with many young players will still need time to develop the mentality and consistency required to compete for the title. And if you genuinely believe in them, then you should bet on Chelsea while they are currently available at odds of 15. That looks like a very attractive price. It's either he's making jest of the Chelsea fans or he's only exaggerating, like which chance is he talking about? If I may ask, you know I had always thought Chelsea and Manchester United would be a great title contenders this season, but with what they've both played so far, bro I don't have any fate in them, qualifying for the top four is quite possible but they will really have to fight for it, but winning the league? Hell nah I don't think so, the team I'm even seeing fit for that miracle is Liverpool not Chelsea so he should give it a second thought.

Manchester United were inconsistent under Amorim as well, they had some good matches and some very poor ones. In fact the end of last season under Carrick was very good, but in the new season, United have become just as inconsistent as they were under Amorim, one good performance is followed by a poor one. So at this point, I’m not ready to say that Carrick has done something at Manchester United that has completely transformed the team.
You are absolutely correct, before Michael Carrick came to Manchester united the performance was nothing to talk about because it was that poor and the moment Michael Carrick stepped in the whole game changed and suddenly there was a lot of things to talk about Manchester united because there performance was great that they won the strongest teams in the premier league then and that gave people hope that the club will do great this season and made them to give Michael Carrick the contract but what people are seeing now is completely different. If Manchester United want to consistently win matches by performing well from their current situation they will have to focus on all aspects. They will have to make changes in defensive awareness, aggressive attacking and midfield controlling so that they can win even with strong opponents. It is quite difficult to overcome the situation they are in now in the point table. I don't think they will be able to do very well this season. Because they were able to win only 1 match in the last matches. With this performance they will not be able to win with teams like Manchester City, Arsenal and Brighton at the moment. Those who are at the top of the point table, their performance is quite good at the moment which is much ahead of Manchester United. And Manchester City is holding their dominance very strongly this season. They have not lost a single match so far. Last season, Carrick proved that he can take Manchester United ahead a lot. But for the long term he should think deeply about what strategy he should follow to make the team consistently well. Yeah, Carrick started well last season with the team when he replaced Amorim as the coach, to which many of us were surprised to see the way Manchester United were winning games given their performance under Amorim but I am still surprised to see what's happening this season because it's still the same manager and the same players in the same team and in the same league but still, they are still struggling to win games this season, would it be that they didn't upgrade as a team? They need to work on a lot of things right now as a team and find that motivation they need to start winning games, and as you said, it has to affect all aspects, in terms of defense, midfield and attack, everywhere possible, they need a working and viable strategy, but to add to that point, whatsoever thing they want to do or needed to do, they should start doing it now, because the season is still fresh and they can still make changes quickly but if they continue like this to catch up may be harder

The situation if Manchester united is one puzzle that football fans like me can't explain. We were all amazed by the miracle Michael Carrick brought to the team last season towards the end. Winning almost all bug teams and made there way up the table. We all imagined what was happening. Manchester united became stronger than ever. There fans were so happy, and perhaps, we thought there savior have arrived. There performance this season is a big blow for there fans. Like you mentioned, the same team, same players, same manager, same league, same opponents and, what are we seeing, a total of what we saw when he initially took over. Something is really wrong, but then, what is actually wrong. I don't know, but Manchester united must figure it out before it becomes too late

At that attractive price, there's a failure that comes with it for Chelsea to lift the Premier League trophy. Someone who has seen Chelsea's performance from the start of this season wouldn't bet on them to lift the Premier League trophy because of how easy it is for them to concede goals and the lack of midfield players in their squad. January transfer window is still long for Chelsea to sign other quality players to strengthen their team. I would have bet on them to find their way to the top of the Premier League table, but before all that, many matches have been played, and Chelsea has dropped points

After just five rounds of the new season, Chelsea are already eight points behind Manchester City and five points behind Arsenal. So I don’t think it makes sense to talk about Chelsea being title contenders when, after only a few opening rounds, they are already sitting in the middle of the table. They made a pretty good start to the season, but their defense is poor and they are conceding a lot of goals against all kinds of teams. So I think this will be their biggest weakness this season. It is not a big deal for any team like Chelsea or Manchester City to lose a few matches at the beginning of the season. If you perform well in the matches from the beginning, you do not have to work very hard at the end. It is very easy to reach the highest level of the league only over time. But you should not judge a team by the results of only five matches. Because if you want to go through a long season, a team has to be consistent at any cost. But I think it will be difficult for City, Arsenal or other teams to maintain such consistency for a long time. Because they have spent a lot of their energy from the beginning. And in the middle, they will struggle to maintain such consistency with replacement players. Then a big opportunity will be created for Chelsea. Not only Chelsea, but almost every team at the bottom of the table will try to move up. So it is not too early to say that Chelsea is one of the contenders, but it is also not unrealistic to think like that.

Exactly, if not rashford and few other players that was added to the squared it's just the same as last season I don't know why they are having a hard time wining their matches this season. From my observation I think the fault is coming from the side of the players they are not that forceful as they did last season, sometimes I feel bored while watching Manchester united due to their dullness, I just wish Micheal would cheer them up this time. I just hope so, especially now that some players are recovering from injury so we may likely see some changes this time.

I think we should give Micheal carrick little time like after 5 more matches if they still perform so poorly like this then am afraid if they will even make it to the top 4. The way Man united started this season wasn't what people expected due to the team performance last season when carrick, at least nothing changes in the team, same players same coach how come they aren't winning matches i think this is what most Man united fans is yet to figure out till now.

You are right, Chelsea and Manchester united were supposed to do great this season though not really Chelsea because they struggle so much last season that they could not even finish at top 5 in the premier league table so, I was not expecting much from them but I was expecting something from Manchester united and I believe I was not the only one because of what they displayed before season ended, but it is too sudden for us to be saying this teams won't do well. Liverpool did well at the ending of the season so they are supposed to do better this season.

I don't think he deserves time, but as much as I'm not a fan, I do think he has from ow until the ending of December to find himself in a good position otherwise, he'll be shown the exit most definitely by December. Michael Carrick raised the expectations of Manchester United fans during his time as interim manager but he couldn't go on with that this season. I don't even know whyhe has decided to change his tactics all of a sudden. If he can fix his midfield issues, get a formidable back four, he is most definitely good to go and tear down teams with his chaotic attacking football. I'm not cool with the football they're playing but what can I say?!

Manchester United were not “unstoppable” last season. Hell, they were horrible under Ruben Amorim and that’s why he was booted out of the club. As for the argument of management not signing players Carrick wanted in the transfer window, in my opinion, part of the reason Carrick was picked for the job is because INEOS wanted a yes-man, and Carrick for them is a manager that wouldn’t rock the boat.
Manchester United were inconsistent under Amorim as well, they had some good matches and some very poor ones. That’s kinda my point. In fact the end of last season under Carrick was very good, but in the new season, United have become just as inconsistent as they were under Amorim, one good performance is followed by a poor one. So at this point, I’m not ready to say that Carrick has done something at Manchester United that has completely transformed the team.
Let’s be honest, Carrick’s United is far better than what they had under Amorim and Erik Ten Hag. Remember how Manchester United couldn’t win five games in a row last season. If given the time and backing, I believe Carrick can get United back to being an elite football team.

I doubt that he will be sacked soon because we all know the problem of the team which is thir failure of working on the defense. Manchester United didn't focus on their defense to improve it but they were busy focusing on only the midfield. I believe if the needful is done, Carrick will start winning his matches but how long can these fans wait for this to happen. Some players should be offloaded. Carrick cannot carry all of them along.

I don't know, but Manchester united must figure it out before it becomes too late Carrick's tactical blueprint has been exposed and his Premier League honeymoon period is officially over because now the opponents' managers have figured out his system. Last season when he replaced Amorim he had the advantage of surprise, he was able to leverage on a fast counter attacking strategy that caught most of the big teams off guard. But things have gone against him especially given the fact that the board did not back him in upgrading the squad with new signings during the transfer window now the team looks very predictable in their playing style.

I believe Michael Carrick should focus on sorting out the midfield and defense. The presence of weak players in a squad can negatively impact the performance of the better players, causing even the top performers to panic and play poorly. Carrick ought to drop the weaker players and give opportunities to new ones. As an experienced coach, he certainly wouldn't want his team to suffer repeated defeats; he is likely concerned about the squad, and the issue might be that the players aren't grasping his tactics, or perhaps he is struggling to convey them effectively. Nevertheless, the fact remains that he should be given a chance until December; he might well succeed in transforming the team's quality of play within that time.

And this is simply why it’s not just right to judge any damn manger based on few games, after carrick joined Manchester united last season, I expected that result from him because I know he had passion for the club and will want to prove something to get the job. We have seen such performances from different coaches even In The league, where they come in towards the end of the season with an impressive performance. Pochetino did same thing at Chelsea too if you could remember. We cannot say that Manchester United didn’t lose some players, did you realise Casemiro left? I don’t think they have been Able to replace that position with a better player and that should be another reason for their bad performances this season. They did some signings but those signings are still struggling to find their fit I’ve been watching them closely and I’m not enjoying their playing style I won’t lie.

Which Chelsea are you really talking about, is it the Chelsea which we seeing playing this season? I don’t think Chelsea will be able to win the premier league title this season with the kind of performance which they put up, maybe in the coming seasons, we might see them win the premier league title. Right now what I feel Chelsea should be fighting for is how they going to be qualify for champions league next season. Other teams have a better squad than Chelsea which can win the premier league title, Chelsea is still lacking behind in some positions, if they can’t work on those positions, it’s going to be difficult for them to win the premier league title.

They have the same chance as any other team to win the league?
Come on, man. Just try to be realistic.
So what you are trying to say is that since the Chelsea team gone through a major rebuild and is filled with many young players they can't compete for the title right? A team going through a major reform and having young players doesn't stop that team from competing for it domestic title. Since the performance of Chelsea has improved greatly and they are doing well this season after going through a major rebuild, they can compete for the Premier League title, and shouldn't write them off just because they went through a major rebuild.

Chelsea defense will be the major reason why they won't be considered a title contender this season, that defense has been very bad, they have been so bad that they are making Emi Martinez efforts and hardwork in vein. The talk about Young players is nonsense in this present age and time where Barcelona are destroying teams with a very young team. And mind you Chelsea has thrown in some veterans this season so age is not an excuse for them at all.

I don't know how the decision to sack Carrick will suit Manchester United. We can no longer say if the coach has been the problem with Manchester United, the club keeps sacking and rehiring new managers. Sacking Carrick and starting afresh is definitely going to cost Manchester United important points in the table. Already, they are not in a good position, making the changes can make the situation worse than it is, i believe Carrick needs more time to settle things.
