There's no doubt the skill games will win on the poll rather than the chance game since in skill games there's a higher chance of winning and your winning is based on your skills but if you don't have any skills at all I think the traditional slots is fit for you.

I don't remember where exactly I read those studies as it was long ago and I don't have a special interest in the topic, just curiosity.

The illusion of control is real but it is the most prominent when the game is completely based on luck, after all there is nothing you can do for the roulette to fall on the number you want and yet I see many strategies for the roulette online and betting patterns that supposedly give good results when it has been proven mathematically that such things do not work, however in skilled based games at  least part of the illusion is real as you indeed have some control over the turn of events making it not as prevalent as it would be otherwise.

Seems kinda cool, you can bet on skill games a few times I've seen but externally not within the casino itself.    Its harder to regulate when its 3rd party games being bet on but within a casino seems a fine idea to test out and see if people enjoy themselves on it.   Its very hard to call this in advance, slots work because its equal opportunities and anyone can win is both the attraction and downside.

Games that I played based on skills are Sports betting, Poker and Tongits (a traditional card game here).

They are fun to play with but aside from your skills (to have an edge to win) luck is also necesssary in order to have a high chance of winning.

So having skills plus luck are needed, thats why there are gamblers who make gambling as profession or relying on it for a living.

It’s a combination of luck and skill that helps you win the game. Though some of the games are just based on the luck and not skills and in some games we require to use our skills and strategy to win the games and if luck is with us then winning becomes easy.

Yes majority of gambling games are more on luck so there's no guarantee to win. This is the reason why gamblers who are not prepared for the outcome tend to chase back what they lost due to lack of acceptance losing their money.

For me the game that I know of where you use certain skills are mostly card games like poker and black jack. I am not sure how you can put slot machines in the same level with poker and other more sophisticated gambling like mah-jong. If you think about it, playing slots has something to do with pushing buttons and then waiting for luck to make sure you get the same images on a row. I also think that some sort of luck is always required in gambling. Many rummy sites in India are operating just with excuse that they are providing skill based games. Prediction based games are also able to run with this excuse only in India.

Mathematics is only on the casino side mostly because they have those large multidecks with auto shufflers essentially negating any real chance at card counting. Still, with good predictive analysis you can get your odds on blackjack to pretty darn close to 50/50 which is better than most games.

That's why I prefer skill game because it hard for someone to miss the bet for the match. I think skill game have this potential of making good money without more stress.

yeah it is better to play skills game.

However, I think it is more better to play esports because you can really showcase your skills or may it be called as talent. It could also be rewarding like if you really intend to master the game you wanted to play like here in our place to which Dota2 is always played by the gamer may it adults or kids.

I know that kids should have gone studying in school but they tend to have more time than adult playing or jusy fun of watching other gamer playing. Other internet cafe are not advising the kids or telling them that standby in the cafe is not allowed. However, mostly internet cafe does allow them to standby in the internet cafe which is a negative part of that kid growing up.

Looks like skill based games are clearly winning and tearing apart the slots games but then when you see the casinos there are hardly any skill based games apart from a few cards games. Maybe in coming time casinos will implement some skill based games and also some PvP games so that we can compete against players and not against a giant house.

I love skill based games like Chess and actually I play paid fantasy games where we have to make our team of certain players and compete against other players based on the performance of our team and players we get points and highest points win, but those games are available only in fiat no crypto based games out there yet.

It all depends on how big the dealer's deck is. Some players are able to count cards perfectly and place bets when they are sure that this time there is a great chance of winning. I would say that blackjack is much more demanding on the player's skill than playing roulette or dice.
You also mentioned poker. I used to play this game quite often, and thanks to the skill, I even managed to win small tournaments on PokerStars. I know that some players have been playing poker for many years and make a living from it. Is it possible to earn only on luck for many years? I think not. They play professionally.

Not a fan of Chess but there are plenty of skill games in live gambling providers. Blackjack is clearly the winner here because the perfect Blackjack strategy is the most common cheatsheet used by gamblers. The Bacarrat is a luck-based low skill game but both games have the lowest house edge, IMHO. The wizard of odds website has the calculations for finding the house edge after the dealer shows up the face card but on average the house edge is around 1.5%. Poker is not my cup of tea due to the high level of required skill and I can't bluff without showing my emotions.

Those who possess good skills for the games where the skills are helpful in making you win those one will continue to love the skills games than luck. Since not all of them can have the fine skill to win the games so may would be dependent on the luck as well, though luck is important for any game but not every game can be won by pure luck. Some games like blackjack, poker etc are the ones where your skill and experience also counts.

I actually prefer slots and luck based games over skill based games because I have been cheated numerous times in skill based games and the opponent used scripts such that computer was making his moves and I was always losing. These kind of cheating can never be eliminated because we are playing games online and cannot see the player so he can use various bots and hacks to cheat and win against us.

I had a match with my friends as a squad and we played a paid PubgM tournament against a team and we got brutally cheated as they used ESP hacks and killed us all within moments and we cannot claim anything since there is no way to prove that they were cheating so I rather ride my luck then someone else fooling me.

Yep,,, I always see the same few names play in poker if I enter, so it is very clear that those with a bit of skill can beat the average population and make their games +EV (by taking other player pots early and taking tournament prize cash). I wish I was as good in such card games but I know my place:) No skill means gamble just for fun;)

Apart from having adequate skills, a gambler should also have mental toughness. Good skills without having mental toughness will make their steps less consistent, but if they have mental toughness so they can play consistently, calm in every situation, and wouldn't make many mistakes that could cause them to lose.
