This is a pretty good strategy. I am trying to follow a similar plan myself. Money from my investments in alt coins I usually just add to my bitcoin holdings, and rarely take it for gambling. My bitcoins I just hold for the future and don't want to use for gambling at the moment. It's better to use money from bounties or signatur campaign for gambling in my opinion. Or I just add FIAT money if there is a nice casino bonus available.

Are you planning to be part of the 21M bitcoin club? Because that is actually the mindset of the people who wanted to join, which is to value Bitcoin over anything. This means that they will hold 1 BTC or more and keep it. But in terms of gambling, it is prevalent that Bitcoin is the number one crypto that most users are still using even me. What I can say, you can always value Bitcoin by using it even in gambling not just holding it for a long time.
Its not necessary to save up 1BTC yet we know that there are lots who've been having even more. When it comes to investment talks or topics then it will be entirely divided since we've been
talking about gambling which is totally spending and not saving it.

I do also have that kind of behavior that anytime i do make use of btc in gambling then i do really have that some sort of regret when i do lost them all thats why i
do focus on alts but there are really times which you do become desperate where you do make use of btc instead to earn more btc which is the reality.

Painful day in betting career then theres of lots for them to mention and what matter most here is that you do also able to feel on having excitement towards
gambling not all just to be on the painful side.

Yeah, it happens. Unfortunately, similar cases have happened in my betting career too, it is not a good idea to chase losses. Especially if money management is a martingale, the gambler's Fallacy is unavoidable because of human psychology. There are a lot of tempting reasons to double each bet because of falling in the idea of "fairness" if you know what I mean.
During 2017, I have tried to recover my loss by betting the last $100 on balance to US MLS soccer games. In the first half of the match, there are two goals but during the second half of match, teams didn't score a single goal. My bet was Asian total goals(over 3) and I have lost my total balance in that gambling site.
I think we have all gone up through something similar and lost money that we did not wanted to lose but because of our greed took over we made a bet we did not wanted to do, but what it is important is what happen next, after that most of us have realized we made a mistake and we made the promise of never losing control like that again and for the most part we were able fulfil that promise, but there are people that are not capable of this and that is when they unfortunately begin their path towards addiction.

Sunday, 10th of November 2013 is a day I will never forget in hurry. I accumulated about 12 games which gave me a total of 67 odds. 10 games out of the 12 were concluded already, 1 game was cancelled due to poor weather, so I was waiting patiently for the outcome of the last game and it was a 5k bet. Should I say the funniest part or sorrowful part was that the last game I was waiting for was among the games with least odds on the ticket. The odd was about 1.27 because it was over 1.5 I played and it was the game of Man U vs Arsenal. This game was like a torn on my flesh because it seriously dashed my hope back then, it was since that day I started believing in the adage that says 'Do not count your chicks until they are hatched. Don't forget I said it was over 1.5  I played and for those of us who could remember the game, Van Persie scored around 27th minute assisted by Rooney. At that point I started calling people I was owing to forward their account numbers for me to settle my debts. And for those of us into gambling, we are all aware that paradventure if a game is cancelled or postponed in an accumulated bet, such game will be counted as void, this made the odd to reduce to 52 odds with 5k making it a total of 260k to be won. My brothers, I was waiting patiently for the second goal to be scored in the game because the first half ended 1:0.
When the game entered 80th minute, I started sweating profusely despite the fact I was the nearest person to the standing fan in the viewing centre, the plastic bottled coke I was drinking was tasting bitter, no be small thing ooo. I was very desperate to see the second goal scored either by Man U or Arsenal. It got to a stage, despite the fact I am Man U fan, I started praying for Arsenal to score whenever they took the ball to Man U box 18. My brothers, when money is involved, you will forget whether you are a fan of a particular club or not. When the final whistle was blown with the result 1:0, I felt like entering the ground. That was how my hope of winning 260k bet was dashed. I can never forget that very day in hurry, Sunday 10 Nov.2013

damn man, so much money was like blown away with the wind in an instant. Arsenal really tried their best that game but Manchester was the better team. Its still a sudden turn of events when the odds differed quickly. Thanks for a new lesson for us gamblers.

From that, you'll be able to gained those last loss and enjoy your gambling as well.

If am the one, I won't have wait till the last match played. I would have honourably cash it out no matter the amount. Can't afford to keep myself on high jump.

This type of incident do happen to bet lovers, a single less odd game will deny them of winning millions due to they want to win it all.
Next time if such thing is about to happen, I would advise you to go for the option of cash out before the last game begins to play.

There's only one thing that i don't understand from your story. So you said 10 of your 12 matches were already over, and 1 got canceled. So you knew you have only 1 more match on your ticket in order to win 260k. Why in the bloody hell wouldn't you place a hedge bet? Since the odds for over 1.5 goals was 1.27 this means the odds for under 1.5 was surely at least 3.5 to 4.0. If you waited for live bets and the first goal was scored in 27th minute then odds for under 1.5 was surely at least 7 or so. Either way, you could have placed like 10k before the match started on under 1.5 and have a guaranteed win of around 40k.

Anyway, there are lots of reasons why you didn't do that. Maybe you didn't have the money, couldn't physically go and place the bet, or you just didn't knew or didn't thought about a hedge bet. That kind of loss must have broken you for quite a while. I'm assuming you took a long break from betting after that but I'm curious are you still betting up to this day?

If am the one, I won't have wait till the last match played. I would have honourably cash it out no matter the amount. Can't afford to keep myself on high jump.

Lol, if you read the story carefully he says this happened in 2013. Back then i don't think cash out was even an idea. Besides that he most likely placed the bet physically at a local bookie, and even these days there are some bookies that don't have cash out on bets placed in agencies.

There are still people who continue chasing their losses, thinking that they'll be able to win it back and not stopping to hope for luck to back them up,
Indeed, it's human nature and should be some people to think like that. Only people who know well gambling and those who think realistically that may never think in that way. Especially for the beginners/newcommers or temperamental people, they probably will try hard to chase their losses because they only think in the next chances they may be lucky and get higher prizes. Unfortuntely, it instead lead to bigger losses.

It's always possible to win little by little if you learned already from your past mistakes,
It may work for skill based gambling games, but not sure if it will work on luck based gambling games or on betting.
For the luck based gambling games or on betting, we even don't know when to win it or in what way to increase the chance to win.
I assume learning the mistakes only affects on limit your funds to it and avoid us to do stupid way by doing it unrealistically.

There are still people who continue chasing their losses, thinking that they'll be able to win it back and not stopping to hope for luck to back them up,
At least that is what you expect coming from addicted gamblers or the gamblers who lose many money in gambling. They will chase their losses until the time comes that they don't have any money anymore to use for gambling. They are hoping to get the jackpot which is we know already has very little odds.

instead of chasing and aggressively trying to win or to break even better to stop whenever you see some positive from your initial capital.
This is what I'm doing whether I win or lose. I always know when to stop when I need to stop too.
I hope that gamblers can learn the same as me. Learning to know when to stop if they got profits and stop if they are losing.

I know that all the people has their own most painful day when it comes to gambling but they will also realize that the day they called the most painful day is the day that will give them a lot of lesson and will help them to pass through that problem if they experience it again. Losing is not a actual loss because you can gain other things too and winning is not also a actual win because you will also lost something with it. What i mean is if you win always and you didn't learn so much, the thrill of winning will be gone and will end you up getting bored on winning.

Losing a large amount of money is a part of gambling but if you didn't experience losing I think you are a god in gambling sometimes this is your downfall even you lose a large or small amount of money. One thing you should realize when you lose too much is do you want to continue or not? There are a lot of players holding their selves and focusing to earn back and not giving up for me I think this is a risk choice, I always play at the safest as possible but risking too much is the talent I don't have. It's better to think twice again before taking a decision in your life.

I am sure many of us have had moments like this. Moments when we're so close to winning and then it just slips off our hands. Those are terrible moments. I had a moment just like this back in 2017 when I had an accumulated odd of 51 and I placed a bet of $20 with the hope of making a whooping sum of a thousand dollars in just a short time only for it to be dashed by just a team that didn't play according to my prediction.
It was a very painful moment especially because I had borrowed the $20 for the bet but it taught me because I learnt my lesson the hard way. I took two lessons away from that day.
1. Never borrow to place a bet
2. Always bet only what you can afford to lose
These two rules have been guiding my betting over the years and I've made quite a lot of money now  Grin

Good for you to come out of the borrow-gamble-win-return loop hole. It's very much necessary for a person to consider loan as not even an option for gambling purposes. Most money when taken through loans and borrowing are lost in gambling, because psychologically there's a huge pressure when we are playing with other's money as we think if we lose we have to pay them from own pockets and earnings from future. But when we play with our own money, we have a sense of calmness! And more often than not, this calmness helps really!

Maybe your incapability of risking too much can be seen as a talent too? Cause if you're not risking much then maybe you'll not lose much. You can't even call "risking too much" a talent if the gambler isn't winning too. I'm talking about gambling but not about taking the risk in life, cause sometimes we have to risk a lot when it comes to living in able for us to move forward. But just like what I've said, it's not advisable in gambling specially if it's luck games and not skill games.

It is not recommended to borrow other people's money, especially if that money will be used for playing gambling because we don't know if we can win the game or lose the money.
You can play gambling with your money, no matter how much money you will use.
So when you lose that money, you will not have to pay for other people, and you can get the additional money from the other source of income.
No matter if you have good control and other things that will be needed in gambling, you can not avoid losing money in gambling because playing gambling means risking the money without we know when we can win or lose.
But you should not use the money for just playing gambling, and maybe it is better to allocate some money to be used for playing gambling.
There is a chance to lose the money in gambling, so you can imagine if you borrow the money and lose it at the gambling table.

Actually it is Self discipline and not a skill?not spending much money is self control and categorize as Self Discipline and this is one main reason for us not to lose in gambling.
many of us fails in this part and that is the saddest way of gambling because sometimes this leads to addiction and wrong doings.
But i really pays respect to gamblers that can control themselves specially when they are starting to lose big amount.

There are a lot of players holding their selves and focusing to earn back and not giving up for me I think this is a risk choice, I always play at the safest as possible but risking too much is the talent I don't have. It's better to think twice again before taking a decision in your life.
There is no gamblers who didn't experienced losing. All of the gamblers must experience losing and after experiencing it, they will adjust whether they will continue or they will stop.

I know already that losing is part of gambling that is why whenever I gamble, I only use a small amount so that when I lose I don't feel anything bad to my losses. What most gamblers are doing is that they are gambling and if they lose, they will gamble again and try to regain their initial capital until they don't have money anymore. Well that isn't the case for a few gamblers since there are some who can win profits after they are losing at first and some even get the jackpot. It all comes to how much money you can risk and when to stop if its needed to.

Agree to it, even in life, losing is necessary for you to learn and make a good decision in case you've encountered a similar situation. In gambling, losing is normal, it's a game and it's not guaranteed that you will always win. The risk is always there in life, in different aspects, we should be careful about our decisions if we will continue or not. But before that, experience throughout the game is a must, that will help you to decide whether you'll go in or not. There's no assurance that you'll get a win in a day of your gambling career, always expect a lose.

Man, I am so sorry to hear about that. You know what drives you crazy? The thoughts running in your head full of "what if I won that bet?" or "I could have bought this and that..."

I had a similar experience when I used to bet using my online skins in a gaming platform. I had like worth $1,000 worth of online premium items and I bet them on my favorite team which was at that time, the crowd favourite and the leading team on the tournament. They were leading for like 30 minutes in the game but at the last minute of the match, the team collapsed.

I hope you get the opportunity again in the near future but again, this is gambling! Anything can happen in this platform whether we like it or not.

There are still people who continue chasing their losses, thinking that they'll be able to win it back and not stopping to hope for luck to back them up, It's always possible to win little by little if you learned already from your past mistakes, instead of chasing and aggressively trying to win or to break even better to stop whenever you see some positive from your initial capital.

From that, you'll be able to gained those last loss and enjoy your gambling as well.
Unfortunately that is how most people begin their path towards addictions, they make a bet and if that money was significant to them instead of just accepting the loss they decide they do not want to do that and try everything they can to recover the money they have lost nor realizing that it is a mistake, since the casino has such a huge advantage over the player thanks to the house edge that even if they somehow recover the money they lost most likely they will try to keep betting and then lose that money again and next time they will not be as lucky and will lose the rest of their capital in the process.

I didn’t lose that so much money in the gambling though but I can relate to what to you, that’s why people gamble hoping for struck of luck and aiming to multiply their money but some of our expectations don’t always happen specially in sports betting. Sometimes I’m too confident to bet on stronger teams but ended up devastated by the underdog, yet we can always still learn from those bad bets and make good bets in the future.
